I'm very annoyed with you, lady. Why didn't you insist the welder wear safety glasses to weld your doors. Not because he used to weld with his naked eyes , you should ask him to wear safety glasses for his safety. You should have bought him safety glasses to use whilst welding your gate. At least he will understand it's for his own good, and that will help him protect his eyes from blindness. This, young man self go put himself in danger like that and go marry somebody daughter to burden her with his blindness. Then he's going to say to working hard for the family. That's stupidity. Builders in Africa need to think about safety first.

@kinzababe1 Weija, or weigya in Twi because Twi doesn't have J but Fante has. TROTRO , Driver and mate (conductor). The word trotro comes from the Twi name of the old currency which us Nkate3 or Nkate cake is peanut flapjack. Paano is bread in Fante derived from the Portuguese who say Paan or Pan, for bread but in Twi bread is called Broodo. Twi and Fante speakers understand each other because its all Akan language but they call somethings different. Kitchen in Fante is Gyaadze or Gyadze, in Twi its Egyase or Mukyiase (slanged by most as Mukaase). The kind of fire Shaddy made at your construction site is what is called Mukyia (ky is pronounced as ch in Twi so its said as "Muchia", and thats how the name kitchen in Twi was derived, or Gyase or Gyadze also meaning fire place for cooking.
@@kinzababe1 oh I didn't finish about the TROTRO, it originated from the old name in Twi for the smaller denomination of the old currency that is that was used to pay for fare, which was Tro and the conductors when collecting the fares used to remind people of the fares when others asked because they travelled different distances. So the mate repeatedly saying tro ... tro became the nickname of the transport as TROTRO. Tro is like you guys saying a dime or a quarter in America. There used to be an old woody transport back in the day similar to the American woody trucks and these were Bedford or ford trucks and the bucket part was made of wood with benches for carrying people or goods. It was called the mummy wagon but Ghanaians named it the boneshaker or in greater Accra was called Tsoo-Lorry (tsoo meaning the masses or lots/lots of people, or people carrier ). You might still see a few still around. Ask shaddy what is Tsoo (pronounced as Cho), so Tsoo-Lorry so that he can show you or Google it.

26:58 @kinzababe1 hi, the ground floor room would be better having a small window next to the entrance by the door to vent the room properly since there would be a kitchenette in there. Because you closed the other window on the stairs so its best to compensate it with a smaller window on the side of the door. It doesn't have to be a big window or too close to the door itself.
@@kinzababe1 an extractor will be noisy for you living upstairs at night. Best is to have those small windows in the back slightly enlarged to have a canopy style windows with mosquito nets behind it to trap insects and a burglar proof installed in it to prevent any access. With tge canopy style windows it can be left open at all times for ventilation and rain cannot get in there too. It will save your energy bills too for not using an extractor.
@kinzababe1 kinza for a full secured premises the roller shutters must be in front to cover the glass front. This way the roller shutters protect the glass. But in some designs they have it behind the glass but that is usually for secured areas. But where more security is needed then its best to have it infront.
@@kinzababe1 I don't mean to scare or intimidate you but these thieves in Ghana are built different. That roller shutters is like beans to them because most of them are the same people who make these deterrent gates or burglar proof. Thats why I am thinking of better measures. And if its the other way round having your glass doors behind the shutter will also me ideal. I hope the corrugated aluminium or steel sheets used are not as thin as the ordinary roofing sheet standard because they can easily cut through. And please is it going to be manual or motorised? Also it will be good if they install some rubber seals on the bottom of it to make it tight and well closed to prevent animals sneaking underneath at night into the shops like reptiles and rodents. But who's idea eas it to install the roller shutters behind the glass door? Because even abroad most shops and office buildings have the roller shutters on the outside with the door inside. You may have to install alarms and motion detector lights with cameras. Because they have ways to bypass and disable alarms sometimes. They sometimes use animals to trigger alarms multiple times to annoy the people to turn it off then they execute thier plans. Burglary is one common thing in Ghana. Especially in new developing neighbourhood like that, because they know thd people don't know each other around there and the houses are far apart from each other. So its good to form a neighbourhood watch and vigilante groups like having your neighbours numbers and the local police station. Sometimes its also good to have a good relationship with your local police station so that they can patrol your streets at night upon your request.

@kinzababe1 hi, technically the bulletproof guys or welders should have their own generator to work with. It shouldn't be you the client running around looking for a generator. Because they know they are going to work in a building site and there isn't electricity so they must have their own generator to work with.
@@kinzababe1 I also mentioned thst it would be advisable to have a window next to your entrance door for the ground floor apartment because you closed the other window. Having a slim style windows by the side of the door would create a nice draft because you will be having your kitchenette there, yes you will have an extractor for the cooker but a secondary window to create a nice flow of air or draft is needed. Because this will keep the room fresh because you would get air draft from one side to the other. I know you are thinking having a window by your door compromises the security but its all how you do it. The window can on the side where the door hinges would be and not the side of the lock to prevent any compromise because sometimes people leave thier keys in the door lock and that makes it easy to access or have the keys grabbed by an intruder. Remember any window you create or add would need a burglar proof.
I am loving it. Everything is taking shape. How I wish they could find a way to build glass and burglar bars in one. The design is beautiful. I love that those guys are working with pride, doing the job properly. When time comes, I need you to show how they clean the windows or remove the netting to be cleaned, because my imagination is not getting it, since I am not use to seeing burglar bars.
