The conversation about getting a register that can count the money and get rid of the pen and as we know would be much more efficient. They are not ready for machines and prefer to do everything by hand. It has been awesome watching every phase of your property being built. It is quite an education. It will look amazing when done. You are doing great cuz in law. Much love❤️❤️❤️

Hey guys! You all are doing a great job. Regarding the POS system, I’m sorry but SuperShady is right. You have to pay for the machine, pay the fees for the machine, and all the services the system generates, so as a business owner you already will eat that cost, therefore you have to raise the price point to make a profit. Doing things manually takes more time but saves money if you have time…and in Ghana we know they have the time.
@kinzababe1

Yes, you’re right this is definitely not a customer service society it’s a survival society. Me being a customer I would have rather get my items in 20 minutes to go complete my project. However me and the plumber sat there for almost 3 hours delaying the work and they ended up coming back a second day. Are we really saving money buying from a vendor doing it manually? This is why the local stores will suffer and the bigger box stores here in Ghana will do better example: China Malls and Melcom because of customer service and efficiency.

@@kinzababe1 dang 3 hours!! Oh no in this case they need a more efficient way to operate. I had no idea of the time spent… thought maybe 30 minutes tops. Giirrrllll NOOOO! Time taken away from your project that you can’t get back. Customer service is priority. Well we watch you every day and so proud of you.
@kinzababe1

Yes, one thing they are lacking real bad is customer service. The locals are going to get price out because of this just like the mom and pop stores in the states.

@@kinzababe1 also if they had the POS system they would be able to work faster, sell more products and pretty much keep the same prices. They would come out in top. Economics 101❤️❤️❤️

It's true, even if the cables have been bought already, check and be sure the estimated and the actuals match, in terms of brand and price.

Kinza put little cow , or chicken fertilizer around the coconut tree, nake sure dry it first, stick up water bottles with holes all around the roots so it will drip and help keep soil moist.

Lol, what Shaddy is saying is right. Once they make things, all computerized price will go up. What you are saying is also right, as we are used to the Western word when items have bar codes. Can't imagine going to home depot to purchase building materials, and employees will be manually writing your receipt😀😀 effective use of employee time, and not duplicating service is something Ghana has to work on. Ghana will get there some day .

What they don’t understand here is time is money. The prices here are still going up and inflation is high. We wasted about 2 hours just buying materials.

Yes the big companies don’t want to invest in these POS systems. But the Chinese and others here in Ghana uses these POS systems.

You will have your own building company when you're done. 😄 That is great you are accommodating both wattage. Would you recommend bringing the 110 boxes from the west if possible? I saw some have even brought in or shipped in their own generator for building with both wattage capabilities.

Greetings Kinza and Shaddy My gosh the expense is never ending when building, everything is on the homeowners...this is why people that have no understanding of the Ghana ways will go broke if not careful or want to hang their hats higher than they should.. ...time consumption is a nother waisted issue. they tell us to be patient and we are, but sometimes it leads into months or years trying to accomplish one thing 😊

You delighted my heart with a video over 30 mins , I love long videos. The shops definitely need a POS system. I operate my small store with a POS, that is the only organized way to keep track of inventory on hand. Scan every item like the supermarkets. I can only imagine the chaos without a POS system.... how do they know at a glance what they are running out of something? Kinza, these guys are chiseling the floors to put the pipes in? Lawd, we run the pipes in the floor when casting the floors. Kinza, we are alike, I don't like to see any exposed pipes unless, it is something that was an afterthought way after house done build. I enjoyed this detailed and longer video....thank you!

I'm just a little concerned ,that ac line should be in a conduit pipeline for future repairs and shouldn't tape together
@kinzababe1
@kinzababe1 2 месяца назад
From my understanding the conduit was the black piping they placed the pipes in before taping. The taping is for extra protection.

Hey guys, thanks for sharing. I have a question as I am at the plumbing stage for my foundation and as many of us diasporans are building from afar I was wondering do these plumbers check these pipes for leaks I've watched many plumbing videos and not once have I seen them check for leaks. It's seems once they're done with installation of the pipes they're on to the next thing. I'm just curious 🤔
@kinzababe1
@kinzababe1 2 месяца назад
They are very little that has the machine to check for leaks. They like to do everything manually.

@@kinzababe1the location of your breaker for the security electric fence wall is not a safe location because its exposed and close to the front fence. It should be in a safer place away from that corner. Unless you plan to put a security kiosk or post next to it, because it can be easily sabotaged. Also i noticed you have some two sockets or wall power outlets outside the shops, you must be ready to have people using free electricity from your front as it's exposed on the street. Unless you let your electricians create an internal switch to disable it when not needed by the shops. Because you will find people plugging into it at ransom times to help themselves without permission and it could cost you on energy bills also.

@@kinzababe1with your farm fence goats can still climb and jump through your design spaces in the fence wall.

@@kinzababe1you going to need a big transformer to server all the 110v power outlets for all the rooms.its good you plan to use the bottom of the stairs for electrical room to host all the electrical control. Also you could split it with a wall to keep your gas cylinders in one side because you cannot have gas cylinder and electricity in one small enclosed space because its a fire hazard in case of leakage. But splitting it into separate areas is best.

@@kinzababe121:00 where shaddy was standing thinking to put the toilet should rather be a shower area instead with the toilet rather moved against the wall where he preferred the shower instead. Because i think its best to have the toilet in front of the shower and you can use the space in the other corner for a closet. So basically facing that area you will have a closet to the left, the sink next to the window facing the entrance door, then the toilet to the right of the sink against the wall and the shower in that right corner space for that room on the first floor above the ground floor room. That would be a good design to habe the room spacious. Also the closet should be enclosed from the bathroom to have a different access to the front.
