Unboxings, maintenance, reviews, and adrenaline-fueled rides await! Let's embark on this dirt bike adventure together.
I just did a hydraulic conversion on my Chinese bike. Brembo knock off master and a 12.7mm slave. Wish it pulled about a mm further! I don’t know what the piston size is on the master, but it doesn’t seem like 10mm considering the relatively short movement of the 12.7mm slave. Might pull the piston out and measure.
@@RiderTalkHQ Great! I’ve installed my kit on my street bike now. It works ok, but not great. I’ll do a new attempt on the dirt bike in the future. I’ll go for a KTM copy 9.5 mm master, and a 12.7 mm slave as you did 🤞🏽
@@tomatdb52 it’s the Vitacci k8 300 efi (the efi is terrible) engine is an NC300. It’s almost like it’s missing a clutch disc or a steel the amount of travel it takes to engage the clutch, a solid 1/2 to 3/4 inch or more (so like 14-18mm?). a lot more than other bikes I’ve had.
@@RiderTalkHQ is it the Zongshen 300 engine in that one? You should probably be able to find a lot of documentation and info about it since a lot of Chinese dirt bikes uses that engine.
The switch you did not know what it was for, is to prevent the bike from starting when its in a gear. You just have to connect it to the OEM wiring thats there. Seeing that this is a dart bike you have, it may not have the wiring on that bike
@@EnvyTheRealest Thanks! I didn’t know that. This dirt bike don’t have that function, as you mentioned. I’ve now installed it on my street bike, but couldn’t find any cable to connect. I’ve got to check again!
@@tomatdb52 depending on the road bike you have, it may or may not have that feature on the clutch lever, but it may be on the kickstand. Also if it do have the feature on the lever and you can't find the wiring, if it's a used bike, the previous owner may have cut the wiring and bridged it to remove the use of engaging the clutch lever when starting the bike. Or they may have switched to a lever the dont have the ability to put that switch on the lever, but still bridged the wiring to still start the bike. Just do some research on your bike, if it do have the wiring, it may be tucked away on the bike.
@@EnvyTheRealest I checked now. It has and I connected it 😱 I didn’t remember that I did that 😅 Will have to find out if it’s for the kickstand or gear one day, though. But now it’s time to wrench a bit on one of my dirt bikes. Thanks for your advice! 🙏🏼
@@tomatdb52 well if it is connected, only when the bike is in a gear, it would prevent the bike from starting. This is a safety feature. Glad to help, safe wrenching
I bought a 38mm for my 91CR500 definitely got better mileage & bike ran flawlesly did a rebuild at 2.5 years and found during tear down that at the factory when they installed the fuel tube it tore a o-ring I could see the piece of oring under the flange of tube that fits into the carb body making me think a 3rd oring was needed which cause some confusion, I think Nathan thought im a idiot anyway after closer inspection I found that the piece was torn from 1 of the 2 orings long story short I bought a metering rod for my son 01 250 along with the rebuild kit & im sure i'll be happy with it on that bike.
Didn’t start racing till 8? That’s a pretty normal age to start racing, aaaaaaand before the Mx parents start up wit “my kids been racing since X age” I get it but 8 is absolutely a good age to start.
hi,may i ask a question? what is your work/job there in thailand? im a thai national, but i live here in the philippines, but planning to go back to thailand to work there.😅
@@munchgaming4589 I’m a business owner within the laundry business. We’re about to sell the business to focus on online working to not be locked to a physical shop.
I was first surprised about the price of the plug but apparently it is an iridium plug? Denso IK27 (and similar) should be close. At least it has the same thread. Not sure about the reach. That should be checked obviously. If that is okay, then the heat range is one of the last things to consider. 27 is the coldest plug, then 24, 22, and 20 which is the hottest.
@@tomatdb52 Glad it’s working for you. It’s crazy the price range on carbs. I can get a ‘decent’ replacement carb for my Chinese 150 for like $20-30, lol.
@@dosstheboss100 it’s still holding up well. I can’t really blame the quality for banging it up when I’m crashing 😅 Long-Term REVIEW of a Chinese Dirt Bike | Kamax KMX 250MT ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FzLDKp_E0fw.html
Hello! thanks to you and this video, I bought this motorcycle, now I have a big request! I need a larger fuel tank and I can't find it... please send me a link to the auction or information from which KTM it will fit? ;)
It’s based of the 2018 KTM 250 EXC I believe. I'm not sure if it fits, but this one is for Hengjian HJ250 which is basically the same bike: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004780614676.html You need to double check if it fits or not.
STIC Super X was the go-to over my Smart Carb. IME and others, it has been a high performance upgrade from low rpm to high rpm. Going on 4 years with STIC products and the bike runs like it has a perfectly tuned big-bore kit.
Holy Crap Tom..I was totally panicked for you by this video.I am glad you made it down...that obviously was not the marked path for down. I hope you are okay without any injury and the bike is all little things that can be fixed...the worse may be the radiator. Good Luck and be Safe.

Just a warning for you before youtube picks up on it. I got a similar video removed and a copyright strike for using Kovemoto clips. Yes true! Rather than accepting free advertising for their products they are going after content creators. So i thought fine, and took down all my kovemoto related video's totaling around 100,000 views and some pretty good comments for their products.
@@tomatdb52 I like the direction you're going with your new video, I am actually in the planning stages of doing something using a similar process. Keep pumping out the content and it will probably take off eventually, youtube loves consistency. I have a Lextra 250 btw 😃
@@mototouro Thanks! Cool! How do you like it? I’ll probably buy the 300 2 stroke later this year. I’m currently in Sweden right now. Shall ride with a friend next week. Shall be nice to ride some “real brands” to feel the difference 😃
@@tomatdb52 i had a 2021 Beta 300 enduro in Australia 🇦🇺 it was awesome, but damn expensive! The new Chinese 300cc with ktm copy linkages look very good.
@@mototouro Yes, the brands are too expensive for me. I’m interested in the 300 without the linkage for enduro/extreme enduro. I lack the bottom end on my 250.
Definitely the GOAT. That one race in (I think 2006) where it was pissing rain and the entire track was a mud pit... he lapped the entire field and was more than 30 seconds ahead of 2nd place by the end.
I ordered parts when I bought the bike from Kamax. I’ve also recently got the information that they don’t sell parts to individual customers anymore 😢 But, I’ve set up a list with parts that I’ve found on my website: www.tomatdb52.com/spare-parts
@tomatdb52 I am currently thinking of buying this bike. .. have u had to rebuild the top end or anything yet ? I know they like to say 20 hours u should rebuild but nit everyone does
@@vincentwelshman8435 No, have not had to to any engine work yet, except for oil changes and spark plugs. Check out Robbo Media RU-vid. He’s got the GPX version of this one, and I believe he replaced the piston first after 185 hrs.
