I just did a hydraulic conversion on my Chinese bike. Brembo knock off master and a 12.7mm slave. Wish it pulled about a mm further! I don’t know what the piston size is on the master, but it doesn’t seem like 10mm considering the relatively short movement of the 12.7mm slave. Might pull the piston out and measure.

@@RiderTalkHQ Great! I’ve installed my kit on my street bike now. It works ok, but not great. I’ll do a new attempt on the dirt bike in the future. I’ll go for a KTM copy 9.5 mm master, and a 12.7 mm slave as you did 🤞🏽

@RiderTalkHQ

@@tomatdb52 it’s the Vitacci k8 300 efi (the efi is terrible) engine is an NC300. It’s almost like it’s missing a clutch disc or a steel the amount of travel it takes to engage the clutch, a solid 1/2 to 3/4 inch or more (so like 14-18mm?). a lot more than other bikes I’ve had.
@tomatdb52
@tomatdb52 17 часов назад
@@RiderTalkHQ is it the Zongshen 300 engine in that one? You should probably be able to find a lot of documentation and info about it since a lot of Chinese dirt bikes uses that engine.

The switch you did not know what it was for, is to prevent the bike from starting when its in a gear. You just have to connect it to the OEM wiring thats there. Seeing that this is a dart bike you have, it may not have the wiring on that bike
@tomatdb52
@tomatdb52 6 дней назад
@@EnvyTheRealest Thanks! I didn’t know that. This dirt bike don’t have that function, as you mentioned. I’ve now installed it on my street bike, but couldn’t find any cable to connect. I’ve got to check again!

@@tomatdb52 depending on the road bike you have, it may or may not have that feature on the clutch lever, but it may be on the kickstand. Also if it do have the feature on the lever and you can't find the wiring, if it's a used bike, the previous owner may have cut the wiring and bridged it to remove the use of engaging the clutch lever when starting the bike. Or they may have switched to a lever the dont have the ability to put that switch on the lever, but still bridged the wiring to still start the bike. Just do some research on your bike, if it do have the wiring, it may be tucked away on the bike.

@@EnvyTheRealest I checked now. It has and I connected it 😱 I didn’t remember that I did that 😅 Will have to find out if it’s for the kickstand or gear one day, though. But now it’s time to wrench a bit on one of my dirt bikes. Thanks for your advice! 🙏🏼
@EnvyTheRealest
@EnvyTheRealest 6 дней назад
@@tomatdb52 well if it is connected, only when the bike is in a gear, it would prevent the bike from starting. This is a safety feature. Glad to help, safe wrenching

Surprised that you haven't installed a really nice skid plate. I hear one complaint is the brake pedal can get a sticl lodged between it and the case and a good skid plate helps.

I’ve not had an issue either that yet, but I’ll keep an eye out. Thanks!

Seems to me that all you needed to do was install some new/good quality brass washers alongside the banjo bolt on both ends. Problem solved.
