Could be cool! Pair it with dudclops go down a prize and do some chip damage so you could take out something like raging bolt. Feel like going that route though you're likely cutting energy making you less likely to charge it off metang though 😅 Could be worth testing though!
If you combine Palafin with metal skeledirge he can two shot every ex Pokémon alone even without skeledirge he can 2 every ex Pokémon, but with skeledirge he killer one shot every V star Pokémon
I feel like this would be better if it was just no rule box standard tbch. I get that the playset of 2 encourages weird card choices but at that point I might as well play GLC
Agree to disagree. If you do not limit on cards then it just becomes single prize standard. Lost box becomes BDIF, decks run 4 frosslass's and get crazy board wipes, it gets a bit silly 😅 Nothing wrong with that it's just not the format I'm trying to make. It would still be fun I'm sure though!
@@TripleBtcg a single prizer that accelerate a basic energy or delta rainbow energy to any delta Pokemon as an ability (stackable). So basically an accelerator for the delta box deck! And his attack was a shred, so always usefull.
This card will take away all the skill it takes to make decks that run switches. Now even a baby can make decks with this card. Just a bunch of mons, energies, supporters and balls
Agree to disagree. It only gives basic pokemon free retreat so can't be easily splashed into any deck. The same logic could be applied to pokemon with free retreat like baby pokemon or pidgeot ex yet decks that run those still include switches. Dark decks being able to run pecherant or beach court reducing the retreat cost by one on basics. It's another tool to build with but doesn't break the format by any means.
Standard to keep it more balanced. Opening it to expanded leads to issues that tend to need banlists to balance plus expanded isn't playable on PTCGL making tournaments tougher to organise otherwise.
The pokemon company need to endose modes like these. In a 200 card set, a lot is pack filler. Modes like this and glc gives purpose and reinvigorates the player base
It'd definitely be nice if we had a custom games mode on PTCGL where you could set rules and organise tournaments in the client 😅 GLC has been seeing support at regionals with side events for it. Maybe 3B will get there too 😉

Depends how you want to treat it. Are you going with the expectation to do well, make day 2, and get as many points as possible to get a worlds invite? Or are you going because you enough playing the game and like the deck you currently use? Everyone enjoys the game in different ways, you don't always need to play the BDIF and that's a call only you can make. Safe choices: Raging bolt Roaring moon Iron Thorns Charizard Garde Regidrago If you're not familiar with those decks and don't have reps though you may not be able to play them at a competitive level. If you know your deck in and out and are confident in it that goes further than just picking up the current best decks and going in without practice.
@@TripleBtcg I’ve had TONS of experience with Charizard but dropped it after the LA regionals because it was so control heavy 😭 I do wanna try it again, Pecharunt ex might help with the Snorlax matchup
@@TripleBtcg They’re extremely similar cards. I wouldn’t be surprised at a reprint after Reversal Energy, but most likely they won’t exist in Standard at the same time because of how similar they are. Definitely not until Lugia rotates. They’re extremely nervous to print too many really good Special Energy cards at the moment.
Lugias only got one set left being surging sparks so wouldn't suprise me if they had it in rotation with it for that brief period. It's a revenge energy so not like it gives it a big edge as you'd be playing catch up not being aggressive in the prize race.
@@TripleBtcg It’s definitely possible, yeah. You sure Surging Sparks is the last set before rotation though? It drops in November, that (January) feels a bit early for rotation to hit.
Rotation won't happen when surging sparks releases it would happen when the first set of the new year becomes standard legal likely in March. So yes the last set of this year would be the last set with Lugia is my thinking.
If Area Zero Underdepths really become popular, i can see spread decks also becoming popular. Spread is like semi-common now, we have damage spread, damage counters spread, spread by Ability etc. Maybe some type of mass healing will be useful ? But i can think of only 1 mass-healing Pokemon now 😅
Spread could definetly see a comeback but most if it already has counters though aside from frosslass. Manaphy/Teras block bench damage Jiarchi for counters from basics like yveltal. Rabsca does both and blocks devo tm to help against froslass. The games at a really balanced state right now which is good! If spread becomes an issue the meta can adapt 😀
I can use the area zero stadium on my one prize regis alongside any tera type basic pokemon including terapagos for as long as regigigas is in the bench. Lacey is somewhat a replacement for cynthia's ambition, but then again, its a situational card, preferring carmine over lacey. Duraludon and archuraldon is one good card to use for steel pokemon that wont give you trouble retreating your pokemon that has metal energy on the bench. Gravity stone is a reverse uno of Float stone, and i have a reason to play spidops ex again in tcg live.
Regis will Def be an interesting one to revisit especially since you can bench multiple regigias to power up attackers like raging bolt for massive KO's
Cheers glad you enjoyed it! Honestly kinda mixed on galv 😅 The attack cost is pretty awkward and the fact it has to discard all the energy for the item lock hurts pretty bad without something like flaffy to help recover it.

Actually I realise Reuniclus could be good in a format like this where you can play a bunch of evolution mons like feraligatr or haxourus as attackers without needing evolution lines. Using cipher at 2 can be helped with the future Noctowl or even the current Tatsugiri to help with supporter search. Academy at night can also be used as a set up Hope to test these out when I get the chance 🥰
Sounds like you're cooking! The noctowl needs a tera pokemon in play unfortunately though so I'll save you the time on testing that one simce theres no legal tera pokemon for the format 😅
All good man! I've definitely had my oversites with builds for the format at times haha. May have run TM's in a deck with 0 energy in it a few weeks ago. . . 😂
I actually kinda like the idea of pairing this with Charizard, Cinderace fixes Zard's early-game damage and can take out powerful threats in the meta like Regidrago and Palkia
Would be solid if not for the Tera rule. Appears interesting in tandem with cards like Klekfi, Flutter Mane, Mimikyu, Iron Thorns, and Cornerstone Ogerpon. Then again, so does Alakazam and that hasn’t been making any waves.
Popstar’s deck is what the control community would consider Agro-control a deck that use control like effects to slow down your opponent/ make them brick while it’s win condition is claiming prizes an example if this is quad thorns

Hello slowen here I placed 7th place and wanted to explain my deck for those who are interested! This decks biggest weakness like most other BBB decks is consistency, so we have totodile for a quick cheap buddy buddy poffin searchable retreat locker. Snorlax is retreat lock for early game while getting mawile and Gallade online. Mawile is for late game retreat lock that can’t be bossed around. Ralts line acts as the decks pidgeot ex having a supporter card being able to find any card I need. Milotic is to turn off turo/penny for more retreat lock shenanigans! Iono is draw for early game. Arezu,arven, buddy buddy, nest ball, ultra ball, evo etc etc are for consistency Flute and Erika for getting things to retreat lock into play.Cyleen, yells cheer and pal pad is for infinite resources and what stopping me from decking out. Skwovet and wasteland is for milling just incase i run low on time and don’t want to tie. And 1 turo and penny. Turo is to move my gallade and penny is for the basic. If you have any more questions I’m happy to answer…if your planing on playing froslass or lost zone I have a LOT of back up control decks that beat those good luck control is awesome!
Thanks for this! Control is definitely not an area of the game I have a strong understanding of so figured best to admit it and leave it to the control players to interpret for themselves instead of incorrectly covering it to new players haha
