Morty’s Conviction lets you get masks into the discard and draw tons of cards to build your hand. Add two Thortons on top of the mask change cards and you can threaten with rad zard and Iron Hands ex. Wellspring also helps the dragapuly matchup by either sniping the drakloaks or using sob on the Pokémon without energy attached. I also found great balls useful to get Pokémon into the hand to discard for later. It plays like a slightly more aggro control deck because there’s multiple win conditions!

All cool additions but what're you cutting to make space? 🤔

Oh, sorry! My list is much different. No ultra balls, no bidoof/bibarel, no energy switch/retrieval/rod, luminous energy instead of non-grass basic, one superior energy retrieval. I started with the list from the Japanese City League that had Tatsugiri and beach court, but also cut those for Rotom V/Town store.

Something i just thought about, is that hearthflame actually helps toolbox pon against dragapult, since if your active pon gets hit for 200, just swap it to flame while it has either lumin or legacy energy to swing for 20 x 20, fun math! Also nice scooby doo bit-
@TripleBtcg

True that could be a good use case. Likely just a play you'd pull off once though since they can set up counters onto multiple targets for follow up turns. The dragapult match up does not seem fun 😅 Jusy gotta blitz a wellspring play lol Also cheers! Love finding ways to sneak in little bits like that and learn new editing skills in the process 😀

This is a very interesting build I like the diversity of this set up however I am concerned if it will be like a future deck that has too many Pokémon to counter everything, however if done correctly it can totally knock out anything it’s a really cool set up

Definetly feels like a simple at face value but tricky to pilot situation lol In the right hands Ogerpon is going to be scary! 😅

So, I'm tweaking the consistency, but I'm testing out a 9 type OgerBox deck... Why 9 types, is I'm playing the new Love Resonance Enamorus...and to more consistently hit the 200 damage attack, I'm playing each of the Ogerpons (Grass, Water, Fire & Fighting), Bloodmoon Ursaluna (Colorless), Morpeko (for free retreat and Dark), Jirachi (Steel) and Swelling Flash Luxray (Electric)... Obviously using the Ogerpon Mask change to switch out for weakness/resistance, or to Wellspring to snipe bench...Legacy Energy and 1 ofs each energy except grass, to fuel my non-Ogerpon attackers (Enamorus, Bloodmoon and Luxray) Its all coming down to the trainers...what supporters do I really want, what ratios of items, etc...I am playing Beach Court as a Stadium since everyone except Bloodmoon would then have free retreat, and EXP Share as the tool to help move energies around to the where I might need them...obviously not a meta deck by any means, but could be a fun deck to casually play
@TripleBtcg

Sounds like a fun concept! ❤️ Hows it been playing? Can it consistently get going or are you often finding yourself starting an awkward attacker?

@@TripleBtcg So, at the moment it is 4 Teal Mask Ogerpons, and a 1 of of each other pokemon...I haven't tested it on the ladder yet, and I subbed out the Wellspring, for Radiant Greninja for more consistency...but usually I get a good start off with Teal Mask...sometimes I do get a bad start (like Bloodmoon) which I might sub to Squwak to keep the colorless coverage for Enamorus, and add more consistency... I did sub the Morpeko out to add another attacker in Roaring Moon ex to one shot something, or have coverage for psychic decks weak to dark...with a lot of ability mons running around, Cornerstone Mask has been a good wall (+140dmg) mon to stall a bit til I set up...I could give you my deck list right now if you wanna take a gander and see if you could help with the tweaking of it

I really want to build a workable ogerpon deck, not because I think it would be powerful or meta but because I think it would be fun to play with. My thoughts right now to set up a hearthstone mask play is to play the ace spec survival brace, which makes it so your pokemon cannot be one shot and can survive on 10hp. This would make it so your hearthstone attack is fully charged up to hit at 400atk. Also I think if we use water and fighting ogerpon to force our opponents to attack using their non-conventional attackers I think the fire ogerpon play might be more feasible than we imagine because most pokemon nowadays can get KO'd from x2 of their own attack which fire ogerpon basically does. I think we should start thinking about playing this like it was a gardevoir deck, making sure you have your pieces in your discard, stalling while trying to set yourself up, then attack for big damage late in the game, whether through your grass energy attachments or accumulated damage through your stall. I think all this deck needs now is a card like shopping center that rotated, which lets you be a bit more flexible with how you use your ace spec tool. Ogerpon doesn't get one shot? Okay move it to an ogerpon on the bench on full health. If it does get one shot and survival brace gets discarded, just rosanne it back along with whatever luminous energies were lost.

It's not a bad shout just seems like that tool is a bit to easy to play around. Lpst vaccuum, jamming tower, Status conditions, damage counters or two shotting it get around the effect. I love the theory though and could definetly be fun, just not sure how well it'd do in the meta. Most decks have vacuum, sableye/dragapult/alakazam can use damage counters to shut it off. Would be heaps fun if you pull it off though!
@humourlessjester3584
@humourlessjester3584 2 месяца назад
@TripleBtcg two shotting is kinda what I want. It forces the opponent to use their weaker attacker, to which hearthflame can reply KO after an attack and maybe I can use a penny to recycle the unused brace to another charged and full hp ogerpon on the bench if they try to do minimal damage or Rossanne's if they reply a ko on the hearthflame. I think what I'm going for here is having the brace on the active ogerpon and a hearthflame on the discard can threaten that play and force the opponent to work around it and waste resources doing so and less about playing hearthflame every game. More about telling the opponent to be careful because that'san option that I have. As for lost vacuum, I'm still thinking of a fix for that. Like a disruptive stadium I can trick the player to use their vacuum on since most decks only have one of those. But that might be too much set up for what I'm considering as a "just in case" option of the deck. My idea right now may be fighting ogerpon stall attacking into lost city while waiting for the vacuum, it does kinda work cuz you're playing fighting ogerpon so it won't get KOd and I was looking for a stadium on this deck to work with since I plan to use the new Coloress to find luminous (too many supporters, I know, so maybe the kirlia-gallade engine might be best for this deck here).

@@TripleBtcg actually, now that I think about it, fighting ogerpon forcing them to use an unconventional/weaker attacker alone can set up a hearthstone play. Or switching to an ogerpon that's weak against the opponent's active can set up a survival brace one shot. Kinda excited to actually build this deck and crack the ogerpon code.

Would love to hear how you go! Be careful with Lost City though would suck for your ogerpon to get lost zoned 😅

Not gonna like the pure ogerpon decks seem kinda garbage. Good against Zard but imo it looks like dragapult is gonna be new BDIF after twilight masquerade, and it doesn’t seem to go well against dragapult. At least Hearthflame (in zard) and cornerstone look like they have potential as techs

The Pult match up would definitely be tricky since they can nearly OHKO you and the damage counters they put out make it so they can set up easy follow up KO's. The tool box build atleast has the wellspring which you could try to get online T1 going second for a double KO if manaphy isn't down
@GoOKuSj33

Try it with Raging Bolt and see if it's still garbage, Dragapults gets ohkoed turn after turn.

Could be worth testing. Isn't that just a worse partner for bolt than Sandy shocks though since you'd need to get energy in hand?
