Awesome video. I am still too much body however it is getting much better. As always golf for me is a real work in progress. I get best success when I personally try to slow down my shoulders so as the arms drop. Will watch in full detail tonight. Thanks Warren
As usual, so much good advice and knowledge. To become a betrer golfer, and understand how and why, there is " no easier" , or "more easy " !😂! way than to watch and listen to Warren.
Thanks Warren. How do we know which (Arms vs Body) release to use when? If I’m doing a hands release do I turn less with arms and body? It seems when I blend them, bad things happen.
I wouldn’t do both Tony normally golfers are too dominant body or arms/hands. Generally shown up if the bad shot is a hook there’s too much arm/hand motion, or slice or lack of distance it’s too much body dominance. What is yours Tony?
@@warrenbennettgolfacademymine WAS too much body, I was accurate but had no distance. Now I've gone a bit more handsy I've got this destructive hook (but more distance) Sorry to hijack someone else's comment.
Nice vid warren....u got one or any drills/tips to stop rolling yr hands? Cheers🍻. (From an ol northwood member..think u used to knock around those parts, even possibly won the club champs there?? ). Anyway cheers again👍 ..
Nice to hear from you and fond memories of Northwood, that was my brother who won the CC 👍 Keeping passive hands, I did this vid in July it could be of some help 16/31 - How to STOP HOOKING with 5 Easy Moves ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C9bfHymV4BM.html
@@warrenbennettgolfacademy nice one really appreciate it....knew there was a Bennett name etched into the old board! Thanks again Warren love yr content and i wish you all the best🌄🌠🏌️🌀
Yup - like that... they say keep swing thoughts to a minimum... shoulder under chin then get (opposite)down on the way through... simple enough swing thought that will get you a long way...
Great video going g back over the basics, really appreciate your videos and so well explained.Hope you and family well. Is it possible to do video on downhill and on slopes
Cheers Graham you too mate, we’re doing ok always a weird time for the family after dad’s passing, we’re just trying to navigate our way through at the moment to be honest. I’ll see what I can do and have a play about with the mats etc 👍
Hi Warren, Great To see you back again with New Videos. As all your videos, fantastic explanation. I remember you playing in the German Masters in 1997 at Schloss Nippenburg. I walked around with Marc Stevenson and he told me, this guy is good, he just won the Tour school he will become a Star on the European Tour. So I watched you During the first tournament day and was impressed about your beautiful golfswing!
Another excellent vid. My swing is too steep and inconsistant, been trying these ideas for a few days now. Slow motion I look good but as soon as I quicken it up I get steep again. Is there another quick fix idea or do I have to just grind it out.Todays swing thoughts are : Head still, Hood , Hinge , Short ,Stretch, Fire the right elbow.
I think you have too many swing thoughts, it’s impossible to get all that right at full speed. I would focus on a main move to help others. You say you’re too steep I would focus on shoulder tilt in the downswing, that can have a massive influence on club path and plane. Have a look at the ‘Stop Topping’ video I’ve just done that’ll give you an idea of the tilt coming down. Hope that helps 🤞
Warren, what great advice this is. The idea of the flatter turn and then dropping the right shoulder is very helpful. Having 2 distinctly different movements actually makes this a lot easier for me to understand the transition. Thank you for what you are producing. The split screen is a bonus too. Regards from Portugal.
Thank you very much for taking the time out to watch and to write your lovely message. Thank you. I’m glad I can hopefully be of some help. Great to know you’re watching from Portugal 🇵🇹 👍🇬🇧
Hi Warren, As a RU-vid golf addict I was only introduced to you very recently when a friend from USA sent me a video. I am only a hacker I’m afraid, locked into 16 handicap with 25 swing thoughts per shot 😂 but I’m sure you can help me break through this impasse. So glad you have returned to produce these instructional videos as you have an awful lot of valuable advice to pass on to us all . Your relaxed style is a welcome relief from all the other so called gurus. I pay tribute to your honesty in sharing your mental health issues and I send you my warmest hope that you can resolve them - I also appreciate your Red Hat channel and I am sure they are giving inspiration and pleasure to all with anxiety and depression.
Hi Ian many thanks for your lovely message, not only the golf but Red Hat Diaries. It’s a passion also of mine to help people with their mental health, so I’m lucky to do both channels. I wish you well and have known how you feel regarding all the swing thoughts so can empathise with you. Sending my best Warren
Hi Warren, me again, Bruce from Auckland! I so look forward again to receiving your latest tutorial. Thank you so much for what you are doing. If I had the money I would definitely become a member! But, alas, I am a mere pensioner!! Love what you're doing, keep 'em coming, cheers mate
Great advice here again. Even when I was playing well I would kick my right knee downwards towards the ball. A pro friend saw this and advised knee should kick and turn towards the target. Just like Warren shows towards end of this video. 😊
Hi Warren, nice tip (right knee kick/right shoulder down) to stop topping the ball. This tip also helps trigger the downswing and weight transfer, which I have been struggling with for a long time. Thanks.
Great Lesson again Warren, still Not through to everything you posted. I really love every Episode and your explanation is fantastic. It is very sad that you stopped your Channel.
Could you purchase or grovel for a flight scope or a range distance swing speed, ball distance data laser thing please? Those swings will only mean something if we get data, because we're shallow and pathetic, at least I am.
Don't let Trev chew the golf balls because they swallow shards and it passes through their digestive system. And my apologies I don't want to accuse you of neglect, just let you know.
Hi Warren, thanks for your drop down tip. Question with the iron, how come you did not remove the impact bag when you hit the ball? I thought the follow through would be the same feeling through the bag? Appreciate your answer.
I know under real speed the club will not hit the bag as the forces will throw the club out, and with an iron I’m encouraging a little bit more of an earlier weight shift onto my left leg. Hope that helps
Hi Terry, yes you can, it can though encourage a movement over the top coming down though, but if this doesn’t happen absolutely. Thanks for the message 👍
You definitely can bring it back in your stance, the only disadvantages if that are it can encourage sitting back and there’s less time to square up the face. But I would play around with it, middle of stance is more than feesible.
Hard to say for certain but sounds like it encourages an open clubface. So if you need a lateral shift you may have to feel a release feeling simultaneously.
how is this related to the hands forward at impact , it seems like two different things, I'm trying to figure out? I see one where the hands are returned to the setup position and the other are in the line of compression and released quickly.
I get what you’re saying and you’re right, they’re more than one way to release and when to release, it all depends how the golfer swings and what needs to be layered. Some need an earlier release so the feel is to match up, others need to feel more handle forward to get neutral.
