Hi everyone, welcome to another video on the channel, we are exactly 3 weeks into our July series with only 10 more videos to go. I really hope you’re enjoying watching and more importantly getting something out of it for your golf.
You would’ve heard me say many times in videos on the channel find the one thing that cures four, this video is a prime example of that phrase.
This position you should be swinging through, will really benefit and go along way to help the Club swing correctly.
Like anything if this is different and new to you, it will always feel a little bit strange at the start, take it nice and slow to start and build up Speed from there, and that goes for everyone.
I’ve had to pre-record this as I am at my nieces wedding over this weekend, so whatever you’re doing I really hope you’ll have a great weekend and off the golf course.
Once again, many thanks for all your support and positive comments, I’ll catch you tomorrow another video.
Thanks everyone.
Warren

I used to have a steep takeaway, but I listened to way to many people and changed it, but 25 years ago I had great success with that style, so I'm going to go back to it after seeing this video, it just proves my natural instincts were right all along, Thanks Warren!!

I remember this "set" drill from Faldo's 90s videos in the good old days of VHS. I practised it for a year, got better. But I think I've been guilty of constantly searching to get better and getting side tracked at times instead of sticking to the basics. A common theme with us club golfers I feel. These July series are the kick in the backside I needed if I can put it that way. If I could go back 10 years, I would have stuck with one You Tube teacher. You, Warren, thanks. Better late than never.

Thank you so much Keith, I remember those Faldo videos too on tape. How times have changed! Thanks for the message and support. Warren

Faldo said Leadbetter had him do that drill til the cows came home. I've still got those tapes somewhere. Faldo won The Open and then thanked particular people from "the heart of his bottom"

@jessecooper9795 Yes, his 3rd Open, '92. That year I knew with golf I had a game for life.

@keithharris6442 probably the best trophy speech ever. The press had been digging at him for a while and a few "experts" had been doing the same too. Faldo was my favorite growing up. Do you remember who the young woman was that destroyed his Porsche with a ball bat?

@jessecooper9795 Yes, forgot her name. I think they were together when Nick won his 3rd Green Jacket in '96. Time goes quick.

Warren, I stumbled upon your channel. Very glad to have found video's that are relevant and easy to understand, plus I love your partner! My problem is what I call blow-up holes, trying to swing to hard, resulting in slices and pulls. Our course has many lakes and ponds, water and sloped fairways. Water is eating my balls up, giving me fits. Using your direction hopefully will help stop or slow my urge to KILL IT ! Keep making relevant easy to understand video's and maybe a word or two on how to stay within oneself.

Hi Tony, many thanks for stopping by the channel and taking the time out to message, much appreciated. Yes tension and feeling on edge can be horrible out on the course especially like you say, if there’s water hazards out there. Great shout I’ll put it on the list, first port of call is take the tension out of your grip, when you come to a hole or shot you don’t like, ease off the grip pressure to a 3/10 and keep it that way throughout, will help you swing the club more. Good luck Warren

Do the wrist/hand’s passively ‘motorcycle move’ when the club moves back in plane?
@warrenbennettgolfacademy
@warrenbennettgolfacademy 2 месяца назад
Hi Shawn, yes I would say so, it’s progressive more in a flowed swing, but I do like to encourage a complete set earlier rather than later for the majority. Hope that helps Warren

I can hit all the positions in a golf swing, but I still lack distance to play good golf (to me, good golf is breaking 90). I played last week, and my best drive of the day was 170 yards.

Hi Jeff, probably lacking a bit of speed, have a look at the link below 👍 Hope it will help ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P-r5AVtox8E.htmlsi=yoiN-nJY1usnRe9Z

Are you worried about a cupped wrist?
@warrenbennettgolfacademy
@warrenbennettgolfacademy 2 месяца назад
Not necessarily, obviously depends who it gets layered onto but I like a short arm swing going back. The way I do them are probably exaggerated for visual reference, in fact they are exaggerated. I like neutral so I’m showing this more to the golfer who chucks the club inside and shut really like explained. Hope that helps Warren

@warrenbennettgolfacademy Appreciate the reply. Understandable, it's something I'm trying to figure out. To sacrifice more verticle takeaway but have a bowed wrist early. Cheers
