Wow What a really super fine, fine fish!!! And in foggy catching conditions. Great you're introducing many new folks to fishing. Looking forward to your next video.
The little ones on the bottom bite extremely soft until the water warms up some more. We let all the 10# and bigger go. Old fish. We fish from the surface to 60ft deep, all year for the big ones.
I have every credential available lol. Ca DFW guide license, USCG MMC (Captains license) and on and on. I rarely take clients to Tahoe anymore (used to in winter only), since the boat launch doesn't open til 8am and they charge 75 now. This video and all the rest are from Donner lake
I caught a 10lb Mackinaw at Jenny Lake, Grand Tetons, Wyoming in 1962 when I was 10 years old on 8lb test. My mom baked thick filets and we fed our family of 5 and 8 other guests. The largest trout I caught when I was a kid. My dad was a NPS Ranger. We lived in a 3 room log cabin on Cottonwood Creek / Lupine Meadows.. No electricity / with outhouse. 😁 Every morning I would catch Cutthroat Trout out of Conttonwood Creek for my 2 brother's breakfast with mom's sourdough pancakes and scambled eggs prepared on the wood burning stove.
