Regarding Scoot economy flight booking: 1. can we carry some food items? 2. is bagpack (personal item bag) also included in the weight allowance? OR both the luggage/cabin trolley bag and bagpack/personal item bag considered in weight allowance? 3. It is my first flight. Are the bags weighed when we have to board the flight or early on so that after weighing we can eat something at the airport and, probably, buy some food items to take with us on the flight? 4. The personal item bag dimensions mentioned by my both airlines are quite small 40cm x 20cm x 10cm. Is this very strict or can I carry my normal sized bagpack as personal item bag which is about 150% (1.5x) of this? 5. Can an overnighter trolley bag (44cm x 44cm x 23 cm = 111cm) fit in the overhead compartment? Can I carry this bag as my carry on cabin luggage with Scoot economy?
Absolutely NOT worth it they left my brother stranded with no help when they had to have an emergency landing for another passenger. Told my brother they'd help arrange to get him on his connecting flight with another airline and when it was time to do so as he missed a flight they refused to help telling him it was the other airlines problem. Absolute garbage service, we will never book with them again there is 0 customer support
Did you have enough space to get up from your bulkhead seat without disturbing the person next to you? I’m considering your same seat, but I’m someone who needs to get up during flights.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. They are my choice for YVR-YYZ-YVR since 2023. Classic seating is a bit tight for my liking since on and off board is not quicker than AC widebody. I truly enjoy the Reserve simply for the amber legroom. 2 x 2 config helps a lot.
@jett.fueled 😂 that's good news! I'm only doing delta one way, instead flying Virgin on the way to MCO and their premium doesn't look as good on their a330 300s - looks so dated
20:32 and 20:35 Why is there an ashtray in a plane? I feel like I've seen them on planes, too, but smoking is banned so I wonder why they have it at all.
Ah, nvmd. Google tells me it's required by law because some idiots still try to smoke on board, and they don't want the butts to be disposed of anywhere else in case they catch fire.
I have a 12 hour layover in Seoul before I fly to Shenyang the next morning. Have you used the Hyatt Incheon access that Prestige passengers apparently have access to? Any recommendations for an old American while in the Incheon Airport?
Hi! I have not used the Hyatt at Incheon, and I didn't even know that was a perk! Super cool. Incheon is huge so you can do lots of shopping. The Korean Air lounge is a bit lackluster, and when i was there it was PACKED! So maybe find good food elsewhere in the airport, or outside the airport before you go through security. I know the airport has a free program to show you around Seoul during your layover if you have time! Info is here: www.airport.kr/ap_cnt/en/trn/tour/trtour/trtour.do
I'm taking this flight on Thursday. Thank you for all the information! I'm surprised at no wi-fi though. Looks like I'll be downloading a bunch of stuff.
You are crazy man. Paying 3000 USD for a business class seat and then eating a 3 dollar meal instead of salmon, scallops and Shrimps. Be smart. Bibimbap you can eat as much as you want in Korea.
Do you recommend preordering vegetarian menu in signature class? I thought then you can't order anything off of menu in flight if you do so. I'm conflicted?
I’ll save you some time. Yes, it’s worth it. That’s why it’s regularly sold out. Those who think it’s not worth it are people who view airlines as charities who are somehow obligated to give them low prices.
Im surprised Iceland Air is still flying 757s at this late date. What do people do that cant go up and down stairs. I noticed some stairs in your video. Some of the Euro Airports I believe dont have jetways to the aircraft and one must climb the stairs
Hmm, doesn’t make me want to rush to try AF economy 😅. The state of the cabin and the food look much worse than I would have expected from them! It’d be interesting to see a list of the airlines offering free alcohol on flights; their soon-to-be close partner SAS does not, even on long-haul! Meanwhile KLM and AF still do free beer/wine even on euro flights, and they’re among the last to do so as far as I’ve seen. Anyway, enjoyed the video!
@@airedition Hopefully SAS steps it up a bit once the transition is complete. It’ll definitely help make the pax experience more cohesive across Skyteam. I’ve never flown KLM, but based on reviews I feel like their economy product might be better. Thanks for watching another one!!
@@jett.fueled thanks. The seats are currently available for a flight tomorrow but I’m not sure to switch or not since I read different accounts. Some say they don’t while others say they recline very little. What would you recommend?
@@ATXmonster86 yep, so row 15 reclines-I was in 15K and reclined normally. The inner armrests don’t move as they’re fixed for your tray table and IFE. But otherwise, it’s the same seat as what’d you have in row 22-just with more legroom!
@@Qacc6 lol you’re actually so right, I am dumb. I guess I’ve never thought about it, and just so used to not getting anything. 🤣😂 I haven’t ever flown KLM, but really want to give them a try soon! Especially their premium economy!
Another great and thorough review! Agree with your thoughts on the Olympics. I find it interesting that Delta already has an Olympics livery for LA 2028, meanwhile Paris is in a matter of weeks and… nothing? If I was flying AF I would expect at least some sort of fanfare to get excited 🤷♂️ Overall seems like there’s been more excitement for the Eras Tour than the Olympics this year.
I really dislike any video titled "is it worth it?" because like everything, the matter of value is by far a matter of personal preference. Second, a blanket, generalized statement such as "Premium Select runs at almost a $1000 USD premium over a standard economy ticket on this route" is NOT entirely true or accurate. Like the base fare, the cost of an upgrade can and will change day-to-day, route-to-route, season, day of week, etc. I know you know this so please don't provide pricing on behalf of the airline. YOUR cost was a $1k premium, not everyone else's. From LAX to AKL I paid an extra $400 for the Premium Select, which is very different from the $1k for the same flight duration on the exact same aircraft. On the other hand, thanks for the great video! I've watched several about Premium Select on the A350-900 and this was pretty much the only one that I found to be enjoyable! =D
Woah $400 for premium select is a bargain, and definitely worth it!!! Thanks for all the feedback and for watching!! And of course for the kind words! ☺️
