I want the layout of each box to be: Image Heading Description There is a gap between the image and heading and it’s driving me nuts. How do I get rid of the gap??
Hey there! It's hard to tell without seeing it, but click on the image and then on the "Advanced" tab and try setting the bottom margin to "None." Likewise, try clicking on the Heading block, go to the "Advanced" tab, and try setting the top margin to "None." Let me know if that works!
@@StartBlogging101 thanks for the reply! No padding top or bottom on any element. Still gaps between each. I am using the 3 column “Content Boxes 2C (Light)” preset from the library.
@@csb3458 Hmm, that's odd. Another thing I can think of is to click on one of the blocks inside the 3 columns and then go to the "Row Layout" level (the container containing all 3 of those sections). Open up the "Advanced" tab, then click on the "Custom CSS" dropdown. There you should see some custom CSS we added. I would copy it first so that you don't lose it. But then try deleting that and preview your page and see if that changes anything?
@@StartBlogging101 didn’t solve it. Even when I create one from scratch by creating a new block -> new row layout -> three:equal -> add image at the top -> add the next block underneath -> add Text (Adv) There is a gap between the image and the Text (Adv) block
@@csb3458 Hey, email me at hello@startblogging101.com and I'll try to get this figured out for you. I am not seeing that issue when I try the same thing, so I wonder if there's something else going.
Hi Samantha! Glad you liked the tutorial. When you have the TOC chosen, there is a button in the toolbar that shows above it that says "Select List Style" and you can set it to "None" so there are no bullets. Hope that helps!
Yes, but how do you re-size the blob shape? My image with the blob shape is too big, I have 4 various blob shapes but I want them to all be the same size and several size down.
Thank you please make a tutorial on how to create - Related post links using element hook like - You May Like - And then links related to that particular category. The default one from kadence doesn't look good.
I really appreciate, I have been finding a way to add content blocks for a week and you saved my day. Just subscribed and liked your video hopefully when I've made enough sales I'll buy your SB pro version
I download and installed the starter templates plugin, but when i want to use it, i just got this message: Error, Unable to access template database, please try re-downloading How to solve this problem?
Thanks. I was trying to figure out why i couldn't change the color of only one word. I wasn't using highlight. I thought highlights were like adding a backgound color to the text like in word. Plus you're gradient css is awesome
Thanks for this tut. Is there a way to see what size I should make my images to fit nicely into a 3 column layout? I've added images with the same height but the width was different. Can we see how many pixels the image should be to be equally centered top bottom and sides when we use padding like in the video?
I found this video incredibly informative and helpful. Prior to watching, I was struggling with formatting the top space of headings, which left me feeling quite discouraged. However, this tutorial provided far more insight than I initially anticipated. As a first-time user of the Kadence block, I lacked clarity on which elements to utilize and where. Thanks to this video, I gained a better understanding of its functionalities. I extend my gratitude to the creator for crafting such an insightful and instructive resource.
@@StartBlogging101 Thanks for making it :). There are lots of good nuggets about copy/paste of section content, line-heigh, shadows, margins...all good stuff under 30min!!!
Listened you first time, you are expert and spend a lot time in research before putting it live for viewers. Thank you for providing very useful information.
I've tried several times from different computers to access Start Blogging Blocks for Free as promoted in your video. I go to the URL, fill in the form but never get any email with the license key. I've tried different email addresses as well. Crickets!
Hi Richard! I checked the system and it looks like you signed up for the free SB Blocks on Jan 1st. The email was successfully sent that says "Welcome to Free Start Blogging Blocks." I manually resent it for you just in case. If someone has signed up in the system and enters their email again at a later date, we purposely don't keep resending the same emails.
So basically... you're "NOT REALLY" using gutenberg. You still have to install a third party theme AND plugin in order to get something even close to resembling page builders like Thrive, Optimizepress or Elementor. And you're still paying for a third party plugin to get all the same features, so really, it's no different in that sense, other than being faster... still a big barrier to entry for people with existing sites who need to change over. Or am I missing something here?
Excellent video! I’ve been looking at skool to host a private fitness membership group I have … and your video makes me more convinced that Skool is it! Facebook has lots of disadvantages as you noted! Thx again
Thanks so much, Franz! You should absolutely host your private fitness group on Skool. There are so many helpful resources and inspirational stories shared in the Skool community of people seeing great success with their groups already. No better time to jump in! I also will be switching my Facebook Group over to my free Skool group... hoping to see a massive increase in engagement. Best of luck!!
Joe!! Appreciate you taking the time to watch the video and comment! I'm so pumped to see what Hormozi turns it into. I saw he released the Skool Games already. Absolutely massive opportunity ahead for creators. Skool will be the future of online education. Would be sick to see a community on there for everything you're doing!
What is the minimum age permitted for community members? I'm looking for a quality training and community platform for educating secondary school students 13-yrs upwards. The topic of the training ... 'WEBCRAFT: An Introduction to Valuable Digital Skills Not Taught in Schools'. In the textile industry, during the Industrial Revolution, Master Weavers were highly sought after. Webcrafters are the Master Weavers of the 21st century. However, rather than fabric for clothing, Webcrafters weave the fabric of the web. I teach novice weavers to become Master Webcrafters. Can 'SKOOL' help me?
Hi there! Thanks so much for the comment and great question. According to Skool's Terms and Conditions, you need to be at least 16 years old to access their services: www.skool.com/legal?t=terms - I like what you teach, though!
Thank you for your reply. Very much appreciated. Looks like I need to create a new set of training modules specifically for 16yrs+ students. Know anyone passionate about introducing teens to the vast employment & income opportunities available online? Please broker an introduction, they'll thank you later.@@StartBlogging101
@@TheWebcrafter You're most welcome! Thanks for stopping by and for commenting - I appreciate it! I don't have any personal recommendations, but I'm sure they are out there! Good luck.
Thank you for the detailed video! I followed your instructions (although the settings look slightly different on my Kadence version) but I can't seem to get the "Our pick" section to move. I moved it to the top of the box but it's stuck in the center and doesn't shift to the left even when I change the setting to horizontal. Do you have any idea what I could have done wrong?
Hey there! Glad you liked the video. The reason the settings look slightly different is because Kadence Blocks v3 came out since I made this video which changed the look/location of some of the settings, but they should still all be there! Hmm, unfortunately I don't know what might be going on without seeing the editor itself. Do you have the section block chosen when trying to move it rather than the "Advanced Text" block?
@@StartBlogging101 Thank you so much for the response! Yes, I have the section block chosen when trying to move it. Once I click on "horizontal", the "our pick" box moves to the left-hand corner in the editor but in the preview, it still shows it to be in the center.
hello I am in the process of creating a store with this theme, on the product pages there are 3 lines below the Add to cart button, my problem is that I cannot change the writing of these 3 lines, do you know how to access it?
That's correct. That's actually one of the main reasons I made this video :) You're essentially building an info box from scratch. You have way more customization options available because you are building each element upon itself and can also add any blocks inside that you'd like (whereas the Kadence Info Box allows for a media item, title, content, and button, but you aren't able to add other elements).
Hi there, this is such a lifesaver! THANK YOU! However, I'm having issues, and I'm not sure how to fix this. When I created the blocks and added text, not only the bottom of the columns were longer like in your video, but also somehow the tops were at different heights. When I used the inner column height, all the columns were even, but the headers were at different levels, which looked awful. Any idea why this happened? I used a prebuilt template for my home page for this. When I created random blocks as a separate section, all worked exactly as in your video. I have screenshots. My page is not published yet.
Hi Anya, you're very welcome! Glad the video helped :) Hmm... if I understand your issue correctly, I'm guessing the prebuilt template you brought in is built differently since you said when you created random blocks, as shown in the video, all worked as expected. I'm not exactly sure what the issue would be without seeing a URL
@@StartBlogging101 Hi there, thank you for your reply. I found a workaround last night. I added extra rows of text and made the text the same color as the background :) it fixed the issue.
I'm having trouble aligning three info boxes in a row layout. I tried this method but it doesn't seem to work. I've been trying to figure this out for hours but to no avail. Is there a simple solution that I am missing?
Nice video! I wanted to know if i am using only one image that is featured image. Can i just use button in content and not use any product image or something does it have any issue with amazon affiliate policies or its fine.
No, that would require using the Amazon API to pull the updated prices directly from them. I like using a button that says "Check Price on Amazon" - it works great!
Like if i want to write about deals and percentage off on a certain product so could be the strategy. Can i write mention exact sale price and how much discounts are being offered?
