In my understanding God does view all sin the same. The wages of sin is death and we will all die in this life. (in accordance with the idea of Original Sin). The moment you are born into this world you are stained with the blight of imperfection. It is we humans that see sins differently because "worse" sins have a greater impact on this physical world around us. I do think as Christians we should vote for someone who is "net good". Don't get me wrong, Hitler's policy of exterminating population "imperfections" should have been an immediate disqualifier for him. You correctly point out that this one policy immediately disqualifies him as someone who should lead a country. However, this one such policy immediately puts him in the box of "net bad". Now you can say this is an argument of semantics, but I would say it is the difference between quickly arriving to the decision of a single-issue vote vs continuing to evaluate candidates as a whole. In your example of Hitler, I think the greatest sin (for us still on earth) was allowing someone to get enough power to kill all those innocents in the first place. Anyone position with that much power will inevitably lead people away from God. The German people in their desperation for economic growth wanted a king and rejected God in the process. Trump is the candidate I cannot trust to peacefully leave office after 4 years. (See Jan 6) He is also the candidate that has proven to enjoy erroding our institutions for his own gain. (e.g. all his cabinet members that resigned in protest of illegal acts they were ordered to do). In similar fashion, the greatest mistake that we can make as the electorate is to assume making a king to enforce a policy is somehow the lesser of two evils. God is our King regardless of whether or not abortion is available in this country. I'm not convinced that abortion is the greatest evil we can have on this earth and saying that this issue alone is enough to elect what you yourself deem is a man of questionable character, and an unknown Christian tells me that you are being led by your obsession with this issue and not the Holy Spirit. The fight against abortion is ongoing. There will be other candidates that will fight abortion for you.

@@gharris Nazis, slave owners, and pro-aborts all believe that some humans are "less than" according to whatever differences they deem matter. Slave owners think it's skin color that give a human value, Nazis think religion/culture, and pro-aborts believe it is age. The reality is that age doesn't give us value, being human gives us value. I see that the sanctity of life should be upheld by pro-lifers according to adherents of the Bible BUT I do not see why protests should be held in secular society at abortion clinics when according to the Bible pagans are "enemies of God (Romans 5:10) and that outside from being justified by faith sinners are going to hell anyway (James 2:11), in other words why tell sinners not to sin if they're going to sin anyway? Aren't they going to sin even more either way? Telling them not to isn't going to make them sin any less, as far as I see it. It's kind of like when you tell someone not to push button or cut a wire, but not like telling them not to put their hand on a hot stove or play with fire, I believe. Shall we sin so that grace may abound springs to mind as a counter argument but that is directed towards Christian disciples, however just to be clear while it may sound wrong to practically say "I don't care what non-Christians do with their offspring" my point is still is God even paying attention to what children of the devil do or would all those things eventually be covered by the blood and nailed to the tree when the individual comes to repentance, wouldn't the work of the Holy Ghost and reconciliation be the main focus of the Church and not ideological and political avenues?
