this is the most ridicules test iv seen 1st the dam port is pointing at a wall witch amp up the sound then the sealed is on a 2ed shelf witch will exorb a good portion of the bass. then if that sub was hitting its mechanical limits at such a low volume then ether the sub box is not optimized for the sub or the sub is not optimized for a sealed box. yes a ported box will be loader of course at lower wattage, but a sealed box will be roughly as loud with double the wattage added if the sub is any good and the box it right the RMS power handlining will also double in the optimized box iv built boxes since the 80's till the last few year and you be hard pressed to find a prefab box that's right for a sub the difference between close and right makes a worlds of difference. thanks for sharing
If your after bone shaking bass ,put your subwoofer right behind your drivers seat ,had a 1000 watt rms sub at the rear of my car ,i then added a 300 rms 15 sub behind my drivers seat .after I couldnt even tell there was 1000 watts sub in the boot
I had a prefab bandpass box back in the 90's that would create a crazy amount of bass for two 10's, but it was sloppy af. I switched to a sealed enclosure with better amps and subs, it got about as loud, and the sound quality was way way better. But all the enclosures have their place, and it's just largely based on preference.
Put a speaker DESIGNED to be in a sealed box in a sealed box with the right volume and it sound great. In the wrong volume it sounds like crap. This one sounds like crap.
Hi I have two 30-watt 6.5-inch subwoofers that correspond to the old edifier r401 speaker. I want to design a common subbox for both and then build, So that it produces maximum volume and volume, as well as deep bass and sufficient vibration (the best and most optimal mode). However, the space limit for this subbox should also be considered, which can be up to 35-40 cm wide, up to 50-60 cm long and up to 70 cm high. In the speaker specifications, the minimum response frequency of the 32 Hz speaker is written, which is probably mentioned with its box. Please suggest a schematic for the design that is more appropriate Thank you
No dude... That is not right. "Mechanical failure because its in a sealed box" thats horse shit. Its a improper fitted sealed box.. thats why. derppp Even the ported box is the wrong box... both sound like shit because they are both the wrong boxes. Feel bad for anyone who goes to you guys.
Should've known something was off from the jump when I saw the Lightning Audio back there. Looks they basically sell cheap shit for kids that don't know a damn thing or really expensive stuff like Focal or JL for ppl when money to blow on overpriced brand names. NEXT!!
I am a sealed guy by nature (and want the ported girl @Saigon_Baby) and enjoy good sound quality. If your in an open space like an SUV/Truck go sealed. If you have a sedan and the sub is in the trunk -you can go ported to get more efficiency. The key is building the box to spec and tuning the box to lower 30s if you want good quality -rather using a pre-fab box which will never sound as good (seems this video he has prefab boxes tuned to mid 40s for higher output boomy).
Not true of 2 subs giving you 13 db’s you have to have 6 subs to get that 13 dbs. One sub gives bass 2 subs will give you 1 3db add another sub 6 dbs with already with 3 subs and etc...😌
That’s it!? That’s the end of the demonstration? 🤨 No demonstration of Apple CarPlay, does it play videos, can you go on RU-vid, can I download apps like Netflix and watch movies? What else does it do?? Soo, the demonstrations over?? 👎🏾
Not all woofers work in ported and some don't work closed, so the thiele-small parameters have to be consulted to optimize. Let's say the qts is 0,3 or lower, you would need an incredibly low fs to ever get bass out of a sealed box, and on the other hand, if you bring that qts to 0,7 on the driver and make a ported box would get a nasty decay (muddy bass). If a woofer is somewhat in the middle and both enclosures are an option, you are generally looking at a 3dB gain for the ported compared to sealed, because you are utilizing both sides of the membrane, that's if both enclosures are optimized to have a smooth response with a nice gradual roll-off.
Y'all selling that zapco is a hilarious joke to me. Someone who has a better understanding of audio systems could probably make a $350 four channel sound better than y'all could that zapco based on this. What's the Qtc on each of those enclosures?
"the stretching of the mechanical limit of the driver" kernel sanders trying hard to explain something, he has literally no fucking idea what he is talking about
Tihs is a stupid comparison! This would be a good comparison, had they use a good quality sealed enclosure to compared it vs a good quality ported enclosure. Also, for this to be a fair comparison, the boxes would have had to be placed on the exact same location each so that everything is identical other tha box itself. You used $50 box that's probably made of 1/2" mdf, while your custom built one is using at least 3/4'" instead. You can not compare apples to oranges. At least you used the same sub for but, but did it wrong.
