Hi there I have a question, let’s say I want a career in Commercial law, could I do a commercial law masters instead or would I also need to be a qualified as a solicitor
Hi Annie, hope you’re enjoying your trainee process. Could you explain a little bit about why you chose TC instead of QWE as you had the experience already? Thank you!
I'm going to do the LPC simply because I'm eligible to and more likely to pass it. SQE 1 sounds way too brutal and SQE has too many unknowns. If i dont get a TC then at least SQE 2 can save my ass if I manage to get relevant work experience.
Annie, I think you should do SQE as you only need to take part 2 and no need to go through two year traineeship(the NQ salary will be like 1/3 higher than paralegal)
Hi Annie, thanks for the great video! I am going to also try to obtain an exemption from the SRA. I have been a justices legal adviser in the Magistrates Court for a bit more than two years now. I did the Bar initially, could not get a pupillage and going to complete the LPC in due course. I hope to get the exemption as I really want to qualify! Seb

ANNIE I did my LLB in 1997 and practiced 3 years in local judge court. After my financial poor.then start to my work another field up to 2022 in muscat. Now I am in uk past 5 months.ago. I want to legal practice or legal study Can u advise me. Presently I am staying at manchester city
You don’t have to take a course to complete the SQE. You can self study and do the exam. As mentioned, you can apply for exemption from SQE 1 because you completed the LPC. So you only have to pay for SQE 2 exam costs
Enjoyed your video. Thanks for the tips. By the way I will be starting my Lpc in September. Ive got a busy lifestyle and have children I’m worried about the reading and want to start early with reading. By the way when you practiced at first did you get a lot answer wrong is this normal. I really want pass my exams 😟
Hi!! So sorry for my late reply. Well done for making the decision to start your LPC, it takes a lot of courage so go you! As a parent, I feel like you have to be so organised anyway so I’m sure you won’t find it difficult to fit the reading in. I would recommend completing each reading set from the beginning.. have you been given your reading books? Will these be provided by uni? It is normal to get things wrong! It will get easier and it will get better, I promise. All the best of luck xx
Hi lovely! Personally, I’ve only ever done the LPC and I really feel like it’s helped me so much in my current role as it sets a good standard on your legal performance. Of course the SQE is a new pathway and many big firms are accepting SQE applicants however the LPC route is well known and firms would probably recognise that more than the SQE as it’s still fairly new. It really depends on you as a person and whether you would like to do the LPC. Where are you thinking to do it?x
