Have you got any advice for me please mate? I’m trying to register my bike it’s electric and an import from china I believe anyway, even though it was bought from a uk dealership they originally imported them from china it’s road legal so don’t need any MOT for 3 years I don’t have any proof of purchase as I’ve lost the booklet I’ve got and these don’t have engine numbers either as it’s a motor, can I put just the vin and send my bank statement and ID ect or do I have to have some form of proof of purchase or anything it’s a 23 plate bike
@@motomash6143 I mean the bike itself is a road legal model lights indicators brake lights ect but I didn’t get him to register it with dvla when I got the bike I said I wasn’t fussed but now wanting to register it with the v55
Yeah so called HM revenue & customs and they no longer allow online application to register a bike for road use, a nova certificate can only be obtained by post. 😩
I answer no, as I am not importing from the eu to northern Irland and then I try go to next page and it reads *error if you answer no you need to make an import declaration ?
Just looked at them forms and thought ffs what’s all the conformity bullocks…. Exempt enduro…. Sweet 😂 And the local bike shop told me they don’t road test the bikes so as long as it has road tyres, a horn and speedo on it will pass the mot…
Alright mate av emailed Kawasaki for a certificate off newness they have said they can only supply a dating letter would this work to get an mot on the bike or do I need the certificate off newness Sorry to bother ye lad
When you say send your licence, does it have to be a motorbike licence? Can it just be a driving licence? I want to road register the bike and then I will be booking my bike test?

Hi mate I got my dating letting back from Yamaha and it says this serial number has never been officially imported into the uk, will I have a problem now? Thank you
Yes I Will imagine you will have an issue if they have no record of the bike being in the UK... call up the hmrc, maybe the tax wasn't payed on the bike when It was bought into the UK. You may have to pay it
Honda are telling me for nova they just give me a nova reference number even tho in a previous email they said they was printing the nova certificate but now after 8 weeks apparently their not sending anything and I just use the reference number but I still don’t know if any vat is outstanding
Hi, you dont need insurance to register your bike. You can send all your decontamination off to the dvla now and insure the bike when you receive your logbook. But FYI I use bikesure
Right ive just bought a husqvarna cr 2002 250cc how do i get the approval off husqvarna to show the newest and the nova there from nevertherlands and no way to contact them
Just answer yes to either 1 of the 1st questions. Dousnt matter which 1 you answer yes too as the questions is irrelevant to you if your not in Ireland
Hi lad I’ve got a Honda crf250 converted to a cr500af. I’ve got the nova and MOT Done. I was wondering could you tell me what way to fill in the v55/5 form with it having a different engine thanks
What frame is it you have? What size? Pitbikes go off the honda crf bikes for example crf110 size frame or crf50 size frame. This will tell you what plastics you can use. I sold this bike about 5 years ago
Hi great video and much appreciated can I ask what number you call for getting a Kawasaki certificate of newness please as I’m thinking of doing this on kxf250.
What do you do with your bike when you’ve got to go to the shop etc to save it from being stolen?do you have a keyed ignition or what do you do mate as I’m thinking of doing it for my dirt bike but worried about it getting stolen
Hello there , after submitting my nova application for my Yamaha YZ125 I have been asked for the following , Purchase invoice which I have Date of first registration which I am a bit confused about, should I just send a photo of my certificate of newness as this is my first time registering this bike, Year of model which is on the cert of newness 👍, Mileage and history / background of my bike, I assume mileage would go down as 0. I’m just a bit confused about history of bike and date of first registration any help would be appreciated thanks .

Yes send the pic of your purchase invoice which is the recipt you got with the bike when you bought it (if you don't have one write one yourself for a date before May 2020. Also send a pic of your certificate of newness. That should be all they request to complete nova
Regarding Suzuki on their website they cannot produce a certificate of conformity for off road motorcycles only “certificates of construction” , Will a certificate of construction do ? Is it the same as a certificate of newness? Thanks
Interesting all this, I’m restoring a 1981 Suzuki rm 465x, it spent 30 years in California so I’m assuming it bought brand new there, I didn’t import it myself, how would you fair with a certificate of newness on such an old bike🤔 or is there another option 🤔 it would be handy to road register the rm just to have the ability to give it a run now and again, and possibly increase its value 🤔
Thanks for the video pal. I followed it right through but then received a rejection letter from DVLA stated I didn't include a original copy of a non-UK registration certificate or export certificate, do you know a way round this as I don't have either or know how to get hold of them?
Thanks for a speedy reply. As far as I'm aware the certificate of newness is from honda. I emailed them and the certificate I received Is the one I sent so I'm at a loss now
