Hi Dezzy ,I was at Rawcliffe mate and although I had a long walk there are some disabled pegs where you can park up. Just drive through Sugar Mill Ponds fishery at rawcliffe and that`ll take you to the canal mate.
It's great to see you litter picking. I usually do a litter pick after fishing and often get a landing net full of miscellaneous rubbish. I often think: If you can carry your stuff down to your fishing spot, then take it home and dispose of it in your dustbin.
Hi keith I fished that same peg on Friday evening 16th Aug on a 4m whip and caught 1 solitary Bleak . Normally you can bag up there from your first cast till the last . Just goes to show you can never take fishing for granted.
Trotted a float through there last year and caught tons of little roach - the pike whose residence is the next peg down also took an active interest in what I was catching- had him on the bank as well

The bigger fish don`t seem to be feeding on the canal yet Keith, whether that`s don to the weather or air pressure who knows but I still enjoyed the day mate
Keith I am loving this channel, especially for all the canal match fishing tips I am picking up. Thankyou so much for taking the time to do this. I am off to practice tomorrow with a bait dropper on one line and see if I can get going with seed fishing on another. Please keep em coming mate they're brilliant.

@@jimredfern9201 I was on the roadside stretch mate,I park on the big piece of grass on the left hand side as you go out of Saxilby. You need to park near the pavement away from the road.
That looks like the stretch that is close to Apply Bridge. There is a pub on the opposite side that used to be called the Waters Edge when I lived there. I live in the States now since 1990, but grew up less than a mile from where you are in this vid.
That’s how all the lads who caught bream and tench in that section fished it mate, I had to fish on the bottom and hold still as you couldn’t run a float through because of all the weed. So I fished with worm and caster on the flat float line Anthony. Thanks for watching mate 👍
