This doesn't work on my centre caps (OZ Racing). I think it's because they are slightly 'domed'. Nothing wrong with the suction cup it works fine on any other flat surface. Very frustrating.

Only thing that kept me from getting an FN was the pin failures. So hopefully I am good to go now. The Apex was $75.

You really trust this gun with your life?
@xcaliburG37S
@xcaliburG37S 8 месяцев назад
No I don't. Just because FN didn't tell me that the gun had a break in period with 300+ rounds of 124+ grain. I used 114 and gun jammed over 20 times with 200 rounds. Maybe after it breaks in and I can get 300 rounds through it with no jam, I would trust it. I carry a Sig p365 and p365xl.

whats up man! im wondering if you could take the time to reply back and maybe have a conversation with me. i saw on a youtube video that you have 23 years of experience in web development. I am just starting out as a teenager looking to make some extra money and would really appreciate any words of wisdom- although if not thats understandable.

@xcaliburG37S 26 дней назад
@user-dy9dt1yz9j , sorry for the way late reply, I missed this post. I would suggest getting into a position you have passion for. If you like coding, learning JavaScript and ReactJS can be learned by free tutorials, youtube videos, and a little reverse engineering. These types of jobs pay around $70-$150,000 a year. Or if you are more visual, graphic design can be learned by the thousands of free tutorials for Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Gimp. Then, for inspiration, you can look at designs on Behance or Dribbble. This pays on average from general graphic designer $45,000- $90,000 as a UI graphic designer. No matter what you want to do, you gota a passion to want to learn and do it. If you have that feeling, you'll be successful. I don't have any degree, but what I did was build a stellar portfolio, and that got me my first job. I suggest, though, today to get a degree from a trade school or even Adobe certification as an example. Like Shopify has a certification program. Those help you get jobs, too. Good luck, man.

I got my FN 509 C MRD early 2021. Maybe about 300-400 rounds thru it so far. I went to dry fire it last night, heard a piece of metal hit my wall…now the tip of the firing pin isn’t protruding thru the breech face. pretty sure my striker is done for. Is it better to ship it to FN or just bite the bullet (no pun intended) and get the apex striker assembly kit? This is my only carry gun so I don’t really wanna be naked for 2-3 weeks as I work at night in a dangerous city known as Detroit. This is the only time in my life “just the tip” has been a serious problem for me. What do?
@metaldave556
@metaldave556 10 месяцев назад
You can buy the new oem striker or the apex tactical striker and install it yourself. Apex has an installation video and it looks like an easy, 10 minute job. Way easier than the apex trigger replacement, which i did last week.

This is 200 IQ level stuff... Had replacement wheel caps sitting around for most of the year, been putting it off as the best I'd read was taking a drill to make a hole, then using a hook to pull them out... This instead took 6 bits of tape and 10 minutes of my time. Thank you, amazing tip!

They have been fixed it they just revise the striker. I have all five model models made for the 509 tactical. But running the original Stryker in the revised one didn't have too much of an impact. Had a bigger impact when I changed/cut the springs

@Barter709 , I didn't buy the FN striker, it came with gun. The Apex I purchased, but I tested apex and it had friction in casing vs new oem striker. Not sure my guns born on date, but I purchased from bass pro in October 2022. From my heavy research, it's the latest one in the 509 series.
