Guys, please tell me if I buy now an NFT that can be redeem, will I be able to exchange it on the appointed day or is the exchange possible only if I received it from the pack?
@DimaDima290 Yep you can buy any redeemable on the market and still get a token for it on the redemption date. Just make sure the redemption period has not passed for the car you want to buy. Hope this helps!
You know there is another one above the set completion, a rumoured “master set” special reward car for collecting all the nfts in a specific year! That aside 😅I think this whole nft project should just be absorbed into rlc, or at least offer a special boxed yearly set with all the cars that were made like they do with the super treasure hunts and car culture. Also I would not trust a Facebook seller with such a high value purchase, there’s no buyer protection like you would get through eBay or Amazon. So I wouldn’t touch those private listings, not worth the risk 🙅♂️
Yes I have heard the rumours. It would be a seriously expensive / rare car though! I won't try for this year's becasue I will need the series 8 exclusive for 900 flow..(+ super rares for another 200ish flow) This seems like too much of a risk for a rumour. That and there is likely to be 1 or two more drops this year adding to the full completion list. Also I agree a special boxed set is a really cool idea, but I feel it won't mean anything to most collectors because bots will sap it up in seconds the same as the STH set, making them only buyable for double the price on ebay 🙄
They must have nerfed the drops rates for the redeemables for this set. I’ve seen soo many people buy 10+ packs and get no super rares at all. I bought 10 packs and only got one redeemable, the Porsche 944 but I too lucked out and got the exclusive showroom lotus. If you’re wondering the completion car for 2024 is the Lamborghini huracan, but take that with a boulder of salt as it is only hinted at by the staff running the Mattel discord, no official announcement yet.

@@DendoDiecast Thanks! I will definitely keep it, I lost the showroom aston martin speedster I got from S6 when the data breach happened. So much like you I will fill out the rest of the set for the completion reward car. Btw you could make your money back on the range rover since that one has held its value on the MP.

And yes, I did sell that in the end for 200 flow and grabbed the ultra rare with it, maybe I should have waited till today or later but the market fluctuates like crazy it's so hard to know when cars will go for more or suddenly devalue.
@@DendoDiecast Thanks again! Yes that is correct, trading early on while the packs aren't sold out is the best time to get everything you need. I did that for the previous feature drop for the Fast and furious Blue R34 skyline and got a complete set for £90, whereas if I bought the packs it would have cost me £160+ and now you are looking at around £280 to get a complete set today.

Yep! £2.30 to £3 seems to be the norm now for mainlines round here. I tend to forget until I take 6 or more cars to the checkout and scoff at the price..

It’s because the stock is on consignment to Tesco’s it’s how they keep track of what’s sold, it needs a unique barcode which is linked to the entertainer stock. Just there to make sure every one get paid
The people in America that get supers either pay worker off to hold the case for them or do it as a full time job basically. As someone who goes to multiple stores a few times a week during the normal restock days I speak from experience
Yeah, I guess the accounts that I often see are either scalpers or full time hunters with big followings. So either get paid to hunt or know people in stores. You are defo correct there.
@@DendoDiecast I’ve been on and off collecting for around 7 years now. The most recent 2 years have been pretty active. Still never found a chase or treasure or super where I live so I’ve just given up on seeking them out. Now I just have to fight for my life to find the normal stuff
Nice cinematography ! Shame there’s so little in the shops these days. I managed to grab the new Slide Street 2 Premium set from my local Sainsbury’s which pleased me enormously
I love the polarised paint finish, though the real car in midnight purple has blue tint not green but still very nice and compliments the 2020 membership car.
My colour flip Skyline arrived last Saturday. Although on the Friday, I got a package what was supposed to be the RLC Selections Skyline 2000 GTR which I ordered last October, however I ended up getting the Transformers Optimus Prime in the package which I never even ordered, so I'm unsure how they've managed to mess that one up? 🤣
@DendoDiecast it certainly is, Annoying to not getting the Skyline, but it is an expensive mess up 🤣 Feel sorry for the person who was meant to get the Optimus Prime and got the Skyline instead

That does look good and I like the idea, but utility vehicles are not my thing i.e. not very exciting. I think this line should have started off with a drift spec car or pike’s peak hill climb special. Even a rally car with parts to change from off road to tarmac spec, something to get my interests up in elite 64, because the recent wave has been very mid in terms of vehicle choice.
Totally agree, something drift spec would have totally sold better too I reckon. Hopefully enough of these sold for mattel to try more soon as I would love to see both a drift and hill climb spec mod shop car! I do wonder if they chose the utility vehicle though because the parts were easier to make fit?
@@DendoDiecast I think they just choose the easy low cost option, you would think they would do mad mikes radbull as that car had multiple options and configurations.
If I were you I'd open the Datsun, throw the packaging in the bin (because it's the damaged packaging that's upsetting you) and enjoy a cool model that was a freebie from Mattel. Shouldn't be happening of course but when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade !
I do totally agree, I really should throw out that dang card, but I just cant bring myself as ive spent 200+ on these (In reality stupid) nft cars. So I just want to display the cards / cars all together as its the extra bit that sets them apart from the rest of the regular premium cars. While it as a freebie, the money gambled to get it is a bit of a sore topic. But yeah you are 100% right, I really hope to bring myself to perhaps open it and move on.
I consider myself lucky that none of my NFT models have arrived with the blisters broken. My main caveat is that packaging is too tight, and that mattel never use any internal padding!! Thicker blisters might solve the cracking issue but really it’s more than likely the issue is poor handling during shipping esp with international shipping as I hear this is less of a problem in the US.
