I saw the film, and cried, but years later was a youth production of a more PG version of the stage show ( the actors where 16 - 19ish) and it broke me! I know that there are differences in the stage performance and movie, and both gets me every time, but to see a young actor in the closing scene of the stage performance on the slab broke me. I know the actor went home that night, but the thought of so many never getting to is upsetting. No matter the conflict the message stands true: a rich man’s war is a poor man’s fight. Taking income out of it, this quote holds some truth; because others can and will serve for others’ desired outcomes. Those who serve are not innocent of their actions, but one’s actions are not always their own individual choice of ‘freewill.’
How I loved the music from "Hair". Powerful lyrics . It makes me cry on reflection. I have now seen 3 generations and those that pull the war strings still don't consider humanity. Lies, lies and more lies. Let the Sunshine in.
When I saw this for the 1st and till now for the last time, I got sick with very high fever. My psyche couldn't handle it. Since those times I am talking about peace. It's sad that humanity has not learned its lesson.
