Finally somebody actually posting results of a billet 20g on a simple SR setup! Thank you! I’ll be posting mine soon (October) also. But my setup is a SR20vet with this turbo. It’ll be interesting to see what it makes. Is this a T2 or T3 or the weird 3 bolt exhaust housing? Also do you know how many cm the exhaust housing is?
Which bov was this thing equipped with? Sounds like old HKS. Seen that some guys who ran no BOV with the RX suffered catastrophic failure by snapping the shaft due to the RPM's that the billet wheel achieves and the sudden deceleration was enough to cause the shaft to snap off at the base of the inducer wheel. 3 pulls on a dyno and the thing calls it quits.
I have finally copied your set-up. Sounds similar, not as lumpy now it's tuned. I also funny enough, have the same wheels you have on the front 😂 just about to throw on a GTX3076 turbo with a ramhorn high mount manifold.
Tomei Poncams are a great drop-in replacement without needing to further upgrade the springs/retainers. However the 258 duration and 11.5mm lift of the poncam doesn’t offer as much as the 264 duration, 12.0mm lift of these HKS step 2 cams.
@@dennisrobinson8008 I recommend a tune with any cam upgrade. The poncams are “drop in” meaning they don’t require further valve spring or retainer upgrades, whereas the HKS 264 cams do
@@GarageAbstract okay perfect I just wanna ask bc I have the same spec as you but the only difference is that I got 272 cams and I use 10w40 but when I use try to use 15w50 I feel lost of power
@@jeremynazario3971 we’ve used 10w40 during the winter time in our street cars, and haven’t noticed any power difference. Both weights are perfectly fine depending on application. No problem!
Older video so not sure if you'll see this buuuuuuut....does this have the bigger center resonator like the newer N1s do? If so, how was ground clearance? Planning on getting one of the newer N1s and I'm around the same ride height.
I wish more people did this, I try to answer as many questions as possible in my video comments. I like to help people figure out their issues and help with their planning.
What fuel is this on? Curious as I have a very similar setup atm and going for a tune in a couple weeks, thinking of maybe going e85. I also have a GT2871R with .64 housing, and HKS cams too but 254/264's instead and I am also running 740cc injectors. Very nice build, love it!
Not a stupid question! The stock manifold uses a “T2” turbo flange. So any turbo with a T2 flange on the exhaust housing will work! Some turbos are direct bolt on replacements for the factory T25/T28, while others may require custom intercooler piping and exhaust work. This particular turbo used in the video was just a direct bolt on unit
