I've traveled to many countries as a older black man and I haven't had bad experiences with woman. I find that alot of foreign woman look for maturity and financial security with a man. Every since SOME of these young black youtubers with cameras started to film the negativity in some countries it has messed up alot for the mature black male traveler. I'm not bashing the youtubers that show positive and educational content just the ones that shows the negativity of the country they visit...
Colombia is not a hookup culture, that is for sure. It is just that foreigners attract the most desperate girls. It is the same in Africa. It is not like they are having sex with a foreigner just for fun. They are hoping to get something in return, e.g., gifts, some money, a monthly allowance or best of all marriage and moving to richer country. As an African American guy, you may get some curiosity sex, though. As you know, there is that myth of the huge xxx.

If you're not connected before you come here you can't really expect to just network your way to the top out here. Its a harsh but sad reality. That said you're doing the right thing moving back to your hometown. I'm from Northern CA and tread lightly in LA cuz that gang culture is real. And all brothas look like another brotha. And CA, in particular LA and Oakland (where I'm from), are the worst places to have your identity mistaken for someone else. Plus its easier to draw inspiration and motivation around your loved ones. Especially these days cuz times are hard as hell. As for quality of life, Ive never lived overseas, but Ive visited spots for weeks on end, and nothing can top US dollars in a place like Colombia. I do agree. We think with the wrong head (lol). I think it's sensory overload. For example, there are several things going on all at once. First, we're finally leaving the ratrace in America. Secondly, we're seeing that our money goes much further in Colombia. Last (but definitely not least), we see the most BEAUTIFUL women on the planet that are down to Earth, not stuck up, and will actually give us the time of day. Those can be recipes for disaster. Got it wrong. Brothers been going to different countries. True "passport brothers" move in silence. This loud passport bro thing is ridiculous. Black men of culture have no issues and fit into different cultures. They stand out from the "pookies" and true passport brothers ignore the trash.
