OklaRoots is a small piece of the internet dedicated to the creative at heart. As a self proclaimed "not an artist and bad crafter", I've been able to adapt my life to that of a maker. I don't always get it right the first time (or 10), but I always figure it out and come out with great projects. Join me as I share what I've learned through trial and error, walk you through how to create your own bags and quilts, and provide a laugh or two along the way.
A hobby is therapy. Making is adding something uniquely you to the world. So get out there, and make something!

I am sooo inspired by your videos. I went together some of the things that you use like the cotton canvas or wax canvas or the vinyl the only interfacing available at the store was Pelon. Where do you get some of your supplies Andy's specialty Fabrics
So cute. I’m inspired to make a tennis ball pouch by trimming the “v”s off the appliqué. My son is a tennis player and I need this for his all day tournaments.
I've been making these like crazy! I'm using ripstop fabric, which is also waterproof and it's so lightweight that if takes absolutely no space in your luggage. I'm making them with a compression zipper as well, so then you can compress your items. I traveled last week with my new bags and they took up probably half the space that my clothing used to take. I also adjusted the size and made an extra large one that fits perfectly in the suitcase to hold dirty laundry to separate from the clean. This was great since we were staying in different hotels along the way. Would love to see you do the compression style.
If you do not have fusible fleece/batting then you can sew quilting lines to hold it in place. It’s free and it will not wear out from washing like adhesives can over time. Happy sewing. Thanks so much for having both PDF and SVG. You are amazing and generous!
Great video! Could you please tell me where you got the little cups that are hanging on your peg board behind you. I could really use a few of those. Thanks!!
I think I’ve only been able to catch one or two lives. Love watching your videos, I’ve learned so much. I am behind in my Bag Making Bee, but hope to catch up starting next week. LOL January was my last finished back. So love everything
Can you help me decide if I need the professional one or if I can get by with the mini table press they have on sale for $40…. Much preferable price range. I want to make corsets for myself
