8:19 Sounds like the starter took a pause.. Like its having a bad day. I always buy the highest cranking power battery and a NEW starter.. not a rebuilt starter

Mega solid videos. Car cleannnn. Wish mine was that clean lol. For the turbo guard, gotta do what you gotta do. With my gerzy kit, hard to fit one too since it sits so close to the pcd
hey man just went to the low glow website, i just got a TLS and learning about cars and wanna know if i just get any under glow kit on the website or if i have to get a specific one for a tls
The ultimate test...u have 3 different J cars .. one turbo.. one supercharger...one nitrous . The difference between all three setups . That will be great
Great podcast. 18 years ago when I purchased the TL, Comptech was developing a supercharger kit. There was a lot of hype and owners wanting to pre-order the kit. The only solution at the time was Comptech ACM piggy back controller. Eventually sometime in 2008 AEM F/IC was available. Not an easy solution to get a proper tune which is likely why it was never really successful. Years later, Gerzy developed a Rotrex supercharger kit which had some setbacks, losing the A/C was big on the list and the cost to have functional A/C, made the entire thing unjustifiable. For myself, I ended up with the Comptech kit, purchased new I believe 9 or 10 years ago, put down healthy numbers on stock pulley, stock injectors, stock tune ect ect and retains all stock functions so that's a plus. It was never about chasing numbers with the TL as the platform wasn't capable of doing things a modern performance vehicle can do. The reality is, not many will boost their TL's and it's great to see those that do and do it correctly. Keep up the great work!
Okay got it if I want a turbo 3rd Gen TL just sell the automatic that I have now and get a manual okay got it I'm just glad to know that you actually can put turbos on them I was just going to supercharge my automatic '08 but now I think I might have other plans 😅
You could’ve always turbo a 3G TL, it’s just that there is no off the shelf plug and play kit available currently. There used to be a J&R Turbo Kit back the the days (you can research on Acurazine) but that was discontinued a long time ago. Some of those kits still around but a few of those owners are not active on social medias/youtube etc.
There’s a base map kinda like a preset that tuners have for certain mods and then adjustments are made of that since every car will be a bit different.
Been subbed for some time now. I bought a TL 6 speed in January off my Gfs dad. He was the only owner, baby already had 180,000 miles. Ended up needing to get the power steering hose replaced Thing rips and I cant wait to see where I can take this Car. I live in Ca, legally how much more HP can I get out of the 3rd gen TL
Thanks for long time support 🙏🏽 probably squeezed another 25-30 hp on Bolt ons and tune. Exhaust is very important for flow and more power. If you’re not willing to remove a cat for legal issue don’t expect much gain.
