Thank you!! I needed to know which deck to get. But now I'm confused. I love the cards of the black bordered one but I've seen a little through Amazon of the borderless book and loved it's style and depth of sight. At this point, would you be able to tell me, which book is better in it's depth so to speak? I'm interested at this point more in the book at this point having really like the book of the borderless esoteric meaning very much. I would much appreciate if you can in some way describe the difference?
Happy to provide that info. The content is really the same as far as I can tell. The real difference is the size of the book, the new one is smaller and thicker. The font in the new one is larger and easier to read. While I have a preference of the first edition the glossy finish does tend to get scratched. If I had only ever had the second edition I would have liked it just fine. One thing I don't love about the first edition is the superfluous titles on the bottom. I didn't trim them off because the backs would have become asymmetric. Thanks for watching.

I placed multiple orders, thinking I would get different decks, but I got a couple of the same ones

Just dropping in to say I'm still making my way through your videos. This was a wonderful and insightful walk-through of these two decks; I enjoyed it very much. I noticed a similarity between Chris Anne's men and Ana Torian's, something I hadn't ever noticed before. And I love the oil painting style artwork of the Slow Tarot, but the bloody 10 of Swords is a dealbreaker for me. I just can't do bloody swords. Take good care of yourself, Sharon. I was so excited about the second edition - all those changes sounded so good but when I got it I found it very disappointing. The colours were washed out, the new cards didn't match the original style and the images were cropped so much that parts of the artwork were missing. I also realised that such busy cards need the border to hold the eye in. So I trimmed off the titles from the first edition because that was a feature that I liked on the new edition, and I returned the second edition.
I'm still watching, and have made it this far. I am officially impressed, awe-inpired, and gobsmacked at your collection. So many decks that I have never even heard of much less seen shown on other channels. A few that I didn't see that you *might* like are: Birth of Freedom - this is a Tarocco Studio deck so you may already be aware of it. But as a "boomer" I love the Norman Rockwell Sat. Evening Post covers, and this deck uses that style art. Turned out to be a very good reader as well. Cook's Tarot - fairly modern, and another one that turned out to be an excellent reader - I've used it for health and nutritional readings. Guardian Tarot - one of those decks that is much better in hand than on screen in reviews. Tarot of the Moors - another surprisingly powerful deck with very interesting art. Dali Tarot - a tarot deck actually drawn by Dali as a tarot deck, not someone shoehorning his art onto a tarot deck. Medieval Scapini Tarot and Keymaster Tarot - both favorites but pips which I know aren't your favorite. Medieval Scapini is a hoot though when you look at all of the funny things on the pips. First off, my sincerest condolences on the loss of your parents. My mother passed in July so I really understand about that first Christmas and then I lost a younger brother in January. @TrioofWitchesTarot Oh yes - I had been on the hunt for a Yokai-book for a while too! And wasn't sure what to get 😅 But I found “Japanese Yokai and Other Supernatural Beings” by Andreas Marks in a bookshop and I really like the calm layout and traditional Japanese artwork. It goes by alphabet and every Yokai/being gets one or two pages of info and illustrations - so I really like it for reference! 👌 I haven’t gotten a chance yet to do a cross reference with the Yokai Yochi, but I would love to do that to see how many are in the book 🤓

How have I missed this?? I love this tag, it speaks to me because I often compare decks to picture books even when they're from different authors :) Love the decks you've shared and I agree on many of these, they just have those kind of vibes don't they? Ok, tomorrow I’m going to five below and buying a binder to make copies of my oracle decks like you. That is such a friggin awesome idea!! I’m a very visual person and so this is literally right up my alley and down my street. I might even try to find/dig up an old binder and start printing tonight lol. I have had this Tarot deck on my deck wish list for quite a while now (then again, what don’t I have on that list, lol.) Now that it’s been a while since you filmed this have your opinions changed/how has it been working together with this deck? Great video, just that binder idea is worth its weight in gold lol. Thanks so much. I would totally forget about some decks if it wasn't for my binders. I have since let go of Meta Muse. It's a wonderful deck but at over 200 decks I experience overwhelm. I just watched a bit of this video and I'm wondering why I let it go.
You have a beautiful collection, I shared some of the same on my video but most I didn't even know. Im particularly drawn to the Tarot de Luz what a lovely deck. Weirdly, I didn't include my J.J. Granvilles decks, but I dont have the Baba one, but they are so perfect for this tag! Loooove The Dark Mansion and should have added it too, but I had already done an hour haha. I dont have this new Arthurian tarot but I do agree this would be a wonderful picture book for children too. I have the smaller version. I reached out to Sarah and inquired about her mentioning about the possibility of printing the larger version of this deck. She said she may consider it at some point it's just a matter of finding the right printer. 🤞🤞 Glad I popped in to see this video. Hi Aimee. I think Marea is my current favorite. Even though it is closer to the original Thoth it feels less weighed down by all the esoteric layers. I enjoy rabbit holes as much as any tarot nerds but I get blocked if the symbols are too front and center.
I agree, knights are fire and Kings are air- but if you see them this way, Thoth court cards makes 100% sense anyway 😊 Marea Tarot looks like a modern impression in a style of Margarete Petersen Tarot in Thoth style. Love it 👌💥
I wish the Tabula Mundi would sell from retailers in Europe... I love that it isn't so much a clone, but uses the symbology and makes its own thing out of it, while still being true to the concepts the symbols refer to. btw. the Emperor has the ram horns attached to his head. Ashera is so beautiful.... ok, the sun is not my favourite though....[edit]: hmmm.... I guess I like the majors more than the minors. Sacred bees looks cool. I think I'm fine with just my original Thoth, but if I have the chance to get a copy of Tabula mundi without high shipping and tax cost, I 'll get it. The sacred bee, I wouldn't say no to if I was gifted it, but don't feel like buying, the others, beautiful but not for me.

O M G! The Pagan Otherworlds & Woodland Wardens is a match made in Heavens! 😍 POT is my most favourite deck ever. It is the only deck that actually works for me in a divinatory manner (I'm a skeptic 😁). I have been using it with the UUSI oracles and with Tree Whisper Oracle (winter) by Maggie Black which works well. But the pairing with the WWO is truly out of this world, so beautiful & magical! Thank you for the idea! ❤
