Hello random internet traveler! I never thought I would actually put something here, but since the channel has grown quite a bit, I figured I should! I am a collector and all around enjoyer of things Star Wars, Halo, and various other themes. I started an instagram in 2015 to explore toy photography and that eventually lead me here. I try to post informative reviews, fun collection tours, and just random things that I care about and hope that you do to! For those that may wonder about the name, I am from the midwest and we are known for being the "Rustbelt" so, there you go. not a very interesting origin story. Hi! I dont know if you'll see this but the Galactic Marines without the Kamas actually appear in Issue 74 of the 2005 "Republic" Comics Commander Faie also appears for a single panel wearing his "caped Engineer" Armor in that same Issue Also I'm not sure if you noticed but the two "Commander Gree"s/"Jet Trooper"s are slightly different The one from 8:01 is 501st Blue while the one from 11:23 is Green Also at 11:23 I think that red one is a K Company(Deviss's Unit) Trooper And the Black Galactic Marine(Also from 11:23 got released in the "Miniatures" Line as "Elite Clone Trooper"
What is the figure you compared the last one to also if you may please do a full review on it including the articulation please because I might be getting it lots of support
Growing up I always wanted Gresh, from the 2009 Glatorians line. Just recently picked him up on ebay, so I totally get that feeling of nostalgia when you finally get a set you always wanted!
Always love seeing videos of troopers. Shock troopers are actually my main army build. Don’t remember why I got into them specifically but I do enjoy them. I wish they would make an updated commander thorn figure.
Thanks for this video/testing! I realize your video has been out for a while but the link in the description is not working for me. Do you recall which seller you used on AliExpress? A couple of months ago I bought a ton of these from Veils Toy Store but they only sent half my order and I had no recourse available to me (seller argued with me). So I am very cautious now on the KOs, but there are a couple I still would like to have.
@@ageis Veils is the only seller I know of! I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience with them. I’ve never had any issues with their service, but maybe try taking it up with AliExpress?
@@RustbeltCollector I tried. I opened a dispute, and I won, but AliExpress required me to return the figures I didn’t receive for a refund! It was a disaster. Veils accused me of lying. It was not a great experience, but I’m over it and just want to somehow get the clones I didn’t receive. Thanks for the information, I truly appreciate your reply.
I just got mine today from eBay. I paid about $30 after shipping. This thing is worth it. I wish when I wear my 3D printed ODST armor I could get as much articulation as this figure has 😅
Is it just me? Or is this World Of Halo 3 pack starting to get kinda rare these days:_ I can still find listings for the UNSC Marine pack and some of the others but I have yet to find a single listing for this particular 3 pack on any reseller site in 2024! Which is kinda concerning cause I’m worried I’m not gonna be able to find as many as I need for my army builds:< the red Elite Mercenary especially which btw if anyone knows of any sources where I could find some I would LOVE to know plz:3 also just to get some more multiplayer Spartan variety for Red & Blue I might just grab a couple of blue Spartan’s and repaint them red or red Spartan’s to repaint them to blue to kinda resemble the numerous Red Team and Blue Team Spartan’s that McFarlane offered:3
One funny thing I learned after watching this video was the mystery clone (the one with the commander Cody markings which had a figure that got cancelled) also featured in the clone wars featurette called creating kamino. It’s shown on screen when Dave Filoni discusses the “type 3” armor (referring to phase 2, I guess internally it’s referred to as type 3 as in episode 3, same naming scheme it’s used for phase 1, they call it type 2). If only more people watched those behind the scenes videos, maybe that design would’ve become more well known to the general public. (Edit: a day after writing this I remembered I wrote a similar comment to this on the video focused on that trooper. I made that comment a few months ago so I had forgotten about it. I was thinking about deleting this one since it’s somewhat redundant but I’ve decided against it).
This was an old toy that Kenner actually put out of R2 which had flaps that opened and tools and shit in the front. Was way more decked out and nicer then this tbh
My favorites are the Coruscant Guard Troopers, the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps, the 212th Legion and the Galactic Marines. I just love how different and specialized the army became in the latter years of the Clone Wars.
Weirdly enough, I don't see many of the crappy ones on AliExpress- I guess VeilsToyStore (the one that makes the amazing bootleg clones) ran them outta town
honestly i’d say the reason they didn’t release them separately was because of market fatigue, so many 501st troopers. you’d think the correct response would be to make other clones though 💀
Why didn't they release it separately like the Scout troopers? Well so they can force us to buy them with a vehicle we don't want of course. Appo, 501st heavy and 501st ARF are all behind a vehicle paywall because HT realised people like clones and are willing to pay ridiculous prices for them.
@@RustbeltCollector And he's not a clone so they don't think they can get you to buy the dewback with it. I mean come on, they release 3 vehicles with 501st clones withing a short time period and they all can't be bought separately even though previous and future figures that come with vehicles\animals can be. I don't see why it wouldn't make sense. HT saw how popular Rex and the 501st clone where so they got high on greed.
Nearly* complete lol. Still missing the McDonalds figs, one version of the villain, and the 2 ULTRA RARE European exclusive figures! But I’m happy with what I’ve gotten!
@@RustbeltCollector my only experience with a galidor item was playing with that robot thing in 3rd grade at indoor recess, and making some kid in my class pissed because I made my character invincible. Ahh good times.
