A hand dryer and hood dryer are different as a hand dryer is direct heat and the hooded dryer is indirect. A hooded dryer is better because you are not directing the heat directly onto the hair (the air is circulating in the hood and the hair is drying that way). With the hand dryer heat is either close or directly on the hair strands which can cause damage for many people.
I remember watching my Mama do this. I could never get it down. My hair is thick! No chemicals No heat all new growth. Im still trying to learn what can my hair do besides twist out and bontu knots.
lol!! I'm DYING at Restorational Hardware lol I love watching RH Tours. I can't wait to furnish my outdoor areas with their furniture next spring / summer!
Its how we set in Cape Town South Africa too. We just don't have those rollers here in general stores, maybe online. But I prefer what we have available here.
I want to do this sometimes, but that darn dryer is the devil. 10 mins in and im looking at the clock like that had to have been 30 mins at least. The time aint timing
I know it’s hard. I try to plan a task to work on that I know will take me longer than my dry time like finish a book, podcast, or emails and it goes by so fast!
I have neglected one of these tips ..... Leave-in + plastic+heat. It def works. I dunno why I stopped doing it. Dunno why I never came across your channel before.
My hair was much shorter in this video and it was years ago, but I think about 30 mins or less, but my hair is on the thinner side. Notice you can see my scalp when my hair is wet.
Where did you get your curlers. The ones I see at the beauty supply store have rough spots on them that will tear my hair. Are your purple rollers smooth all over?
U definitely look best in #3! Skip the first two pair. Then #6, and #4 are a tie. You do a very nice job of describing and explaining all detail. You are very cute and sweet, ty!
@@athomewithlisalisa7294 yes! And this is my first time trying the blue light blockers! I love them but can’t really tell if it makes a difference. I assume they are working!
I'm going to try this technique. I do rollers at home after quitting my Dominican salon 😭 but the humidity has been doing the devil's work. Random question, your eyebrows do you do microblading?
Girlllll. I feel you. I came across an RH catalog years ago before i even knew the place. Touring a location was my dream and did on my BDAY. I will never forget it.😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
It’s crazy how you can flat iron hair at 310 or 400 and it can turn out just as straight at either temperature 😂… especially with a good lightweight serum
Your hair turned out beautifully 😍 Can’t wait until January, since I live in FL that’s when I will silk press my hair! I just cut it back in May, can’t wait to see the growth‼️
omg just tried following all the steps. chile my hair is so puffy and stiff. my hair is super super dense, and very curly/coily. are roller sets just not for me? 😓
@@arib3225 maybe not. Remember my hair is fine, so you may need to use smaller sections to be sure the hair is dry completely! Also, your hair will dry on the roller how it looks wet, if it’s not smooth on the roller wet, it will not magically smooth as it dries. Also I’ve been practicing this technique almost 20 years so don’t be hard on yourself if it was your first try!❤️
