Implantable myoelectric sensors sounds like a step towards Full Metal Alchemist's Auto-Mail, which iirc is supposed to connect directly to the nerves in the stub, allowing for the use of Fine Motor Skills. With how fast technology is advancing, this is looking promising!
Idea: A nub extension that has two easily adjustable, but locking fingers on it. Similar to hose flexi camera tripods that suck, but better. Maybe this would allow you to rotate slightly to hit the buttons on the two button games, or grab the sticks with it.
It's funny because when you just type "cu" and looked at the camera, I thought you somehow knew Portuguese because "cu" is assh*le in pt, so it was funny in both pt and eng, congratulations lol
Dude, you are AWESOME. Your editing style is so cool and funny. Even with only one arm, you're a funny youtuber and GOD gamer, dont let any disability keep you from doing what you love
Seeing this video just makes me kind of annoyed and disappointed. I've built robots and went to school for software and now I really want to make a better arm lmao
Arcades are the best! It’s nice to see them making a comeback, especially with all the vintage games. Too bad they haven’t been made with accessibility in mind. Glad you had fun trying them out though!
Thanks so much for making this video!! It’s really encouraging to hear that prosthetics are improving year by year!!! Also- it’s really inspiring me to become a prosthetist!! 👍👍👍
Hey question, does holding it in squeeze mode take effort over time? Like let's say you were holding a bag, would your closed fist eventually get tired and need rest?
Good question! I don't have to continue holding the different hand modes in my phantom hand to keep Stephen locked in the same position. I only need to tense my stub when I need to move the hand. Once it's done moving and it's in the position I want, I can relax.
@champutee_ cool to know, followup question, what would the weight limit be before things start getting uncomfortable? Like, power drill? Gallon of milk? Large suitcase?
i've been so nervous about going back to an arcade after my amputation but this actually put a little excitement back in my heart seeing you have this much fun!!! i forgot how many different controls they all use. 👾 i'm such a big fan man
Idk if you know or some one else has already metioned it but theres a item out there that makes the nintendo switch controllers one handed. Its not an official product, its a comunity made (i believe) 3d print
I remember you mentioning you had nerves moved towards the outer ends of the stub for your prosthetic, that is what I would guess would keep it sensitive.
Your first video? I can't believe your first video is that good, how many times did you edit it? I bet you even gave a name to your mirror already cuz you got a great Sense of humor 😂
