This video goes to show that it isn’t completely over even if a detrimental event happens in life and that there are answers for them out there. Makes me appreciate my own body more knowing that it could happen to all of us at any given moment. Glad you’re still able to play video games and great first video on the channel
Oh wow, it goes to show something everyone has seen and knows Edit: since nobody can take the time to scroll for two seconds, sorry for being such an asshole, just stop leaving pages, I understand, I was wrong.
@@toat_ I wasn’t trying to be funny, but I mean, even if you think I was, you can’t judge me on it considering this is your level of “humour” The guy above you is still you, so you just called yourself unfunny. That’s a logical fallacy btw, it’s called ad hominem, google it, and provide an actual point as to why I’m wrong next time. Why is always the dumb, lazy comments by edgy kids that get likes and not people actually calling out annoying comments? The original commenter clearly just wanted likes, deny it as he might.
??? That's literally what most people would be concerned about lol. Their hobbies. Survival has alot of support, hobbies dont because its not a necessity.
It's because he was raised with love and support by his caregivers in childhood. That is the determining factor at your "resilience" to hardships. If you were raised to be afraid of your caregivers. Being abused, be it emotionally invalidated and neglected, then your brain develops in such a way that it "Resists" a hardship occuring, and that "Resistance" causes inner turmoil, which leads to self-defeat, and then leads to su!cidality.
Dude, I'm from Brazil, and I thought it was incredible that you overcame the difficulties despite what happened and still managed to laugh, congratulations man, you're incredible!!
@@NM-mf7vmno they clearly don't since they mocked him by having a mascot of the devil drag someone dressed as Jesus till the place flooded the next day
Last time I did my studies there, a good 70%??? of religious people were some type of Christian yeah. That, and they have a massive statue of ol' JC in their capital - probably not a coincidence 😂 @@NM-mf7vm
My grandpa used to do glass painting before he lost his dominant arm in a wreck back in the 80’s. If I recall correctly, he was never quite able to get back into it after the accident. It’s awesome to see people able to get back into their hobbies after similar happens to them now. Wishing the best.
As a person with a disability, an advocate, and a gamer, I am so glad to see this video and the progress in adaptive controllers. This video was enlightening. As a Phish fan, I want to ask if you're going to either Vegas or Mondegreen. Let me know!
@RepentandbelieveinJesusChrist5 You shouldn't post stuff like that, people will make fun of your religion and its pretty rude, maybe post this on a christian channel (im christian so no hate)
@@BloxG0d_Play3r Unfortunately I think they're just some sort of bots - reposting, advertising the same channels or webpages for financial gains or otherwise. Sometimes - rarely, sure - it's even propaganda that has nothing to do with christianity. I've seen these a lot, most of the time what they're quoting isn't even related to... anything on that video/channel. I've seen the same account post the same comment on multiple videos. That one even ends abruptly. How could he have not noticed he hit enter after a random "The" ? There's an edit button! This one in particular seems suspicious (and, lo and behold, they have a link in their bio to some webpage - surprise surprise...). I just report them - just for spam, if not for something downright malicious
This morning I was driving and THOUGHT to myself, "If I were to lose and arm, how would I game?" Then I get home and see this in my recommended. YT algorithm is wild bro.
WHAT? when you just said right at the end that this was your first video, that blew my mind. your humor an editing is so funny, it’s not too much an the way your “dark humor-ize” your loss of an arm really wraps everything up just right personally for me. Just found you an im definitely subscribing, keep that perspective/personality for us!
Fuckin hell man, the way it seems like you are handling your situation blows my mind. You are so light hearted and warm, even though you got into a traumatic accident. It's incredible man. You're jokes fuckin hit so hard. I hope you find a definite way to be able to slay fuckers comfortably! I hope for healing man, you got this
Im going to assume you're not a moron,@@bitterjames. So I'll just remind you that people also need time to heal from mental trauma, you know... adapt to the situation.... overcome the obstacles his new condition presents is a way of healing.... even if, to state the obvious, his arm is forever this way... And btw, there are some crazy prostestics out there nowadays.... he might just get a cyber arm or something.... you dont know.... lol
If you hadn't said this was your first video, I wouldn't have known, you've got a natural charisma and ability for storytelling, and this was a really insightful video!
Holy shit, I just assumed this guy was an established youtuber, I clicked on the video without looking at anything. You aren’t kidding this guy is great and for a first video I don’t think he could have done it better.
Please keep posting videos. This was great to watch, and really honestly inspiring to see you having such a great attitude about this. Would love to see more content from you, and clearly a bunch of other people want to as well
Bro drops his first video and is more entertaining than literally half of RU-vid. This was so inspiring to watch. You deserve all the happiness in the world man.
no pun intended, but this guy really is a champ. relatable sense of humor and a great sport about a terrible event that happened in his life. mad props.
Guy has literally one arm, one video and almost 1 million views in 11 days of just posting. Legendary! Sub to you man! Cheers to the positive life even with one arm!
My father made controllers for people with disabilities when I was a kid. He got into it bc he lost his leg in a car accident and understood the day to day problems of stuff like that. He helped and I got to see all sorts of people rediscover gaming. Even now I’m still friends with some people who were my age when my dad made a controller for them. Pretty neat stuff for sure!
@@charlotte_0I’ve seen some that are used by quadriplegics where they use their tongues and mouths maybe look for one of those things there’s also a mat I’ve seen that goes on the floor and has buttons for controls but I think it’s limited to what kind of games it’ll play since there’s no where for control stick movements but you could use it for platformers.
@RepentandbelieveinJesusChrist5 Ah yes, a person that makes it their life goal to harass other people if said other people don't believe in Jesus. Can't you just leave people alone? You can still believe in Jesus or whatever, but don't push it onto other people. That's not gonna convert them or whatever your trying to do, it's just going to annoy them..
This shows how disabilities are real on their own when considered in a vacuum, however it is WORSENED by inaccessible surroundings. Adaptation is core to our survival AND thriving. It's important that we build things so everyone can be part of the fun.
Always great to see someone overcoming adversity with such a great attitude. Idk if you will see this but i wanted to share it with you. When i was young a friend of mine was in an accident and also lost his arm. About a year later i went to his house for the first time. I was completely blown away. Not only had he leaned to use a stock ps2 controller with one hand but he could absolutely stomp anyone in a fighting or fps game playing this way. He just laid the controller in his lap, thumb and ring finger on the sticks with the rest them wrapped around the controller to reach all the buttons. It was truely one of the most impressive things i have ever seen. With the accessibilty of 3d printing and other things i have no doubt there are better moden solutions but i just wanted to let you know that it is in fact possible to play a dual stick with one hand. Great video. Stay positive and keep up the good work.
Losing an arm, breaking a leg, a brain injury, and YET you still got up again to continue doing what you love. That right there, is so damn powerful from you. Mad respect to you 👏👏👏
Champutee is literally the greatest username I have ever heard on RU-vid. It's nice to see him look back and joke fondly about such a traumatic experience and grow from it to be able to still partake in his favorite hobby. Very inspiring.
Props to you, I was one arm gaming for a few months when I had nerve damage. But thankfully I recovered, hope your journey from here on is a good one. I'll be subscribed to watch along the way!
You truly inspire me. Hearing your story just made me want to change the direction of my life and be more motivated at perusing my career of gaming and content creation.
I cannot believe this is your first video. Once I finished watched I checked to see what other videos you have and realized this is the only one. Dude, keep making content. You have a very natural talent for this. Your storytelling ability is why this video shines. The content of the story is super fascinating but your delivery and personality make this a really enjoyable watch. Great work, man.
@@paulwoodford1984 anyone could get their arm amputated, doesn't mean you have personality. he's go the attitude for being a RU-vidr and good editing, obviously a good video title helps. but to say this guy only has the subs because he's missing an arm is really just a jealous thing to say.
it’s 100 percent true though. he would not have any subs if he wasn’t a one armed person. that’s the only appeal to the guy. Genuinely the case. the on,y reason i clicked on it was because of the title. otherwise f that. another boring nobody. it’s harsh truth. @@autumnquinn8658
I had a classmate who was missing an arm. Felt awkward asking him about it, but he said it was alright and that he was born without one. Seeing someone who is missing an arm from an accident is just a tad different. Can't imagine what your experience was like losing it, but I'm glad to see that you can get to a point where you can shrug it off. You can totally get by with one arm, there's just more steps. Hope you find your optimal gaming controller setup.
This video is so well edited and entertaining. Your comedic timing is awesome, I was shocked to see this is your only video! subscribed and can’t wait to see what u create next!
@@iche9373 You're the problem, clearly something is very wrong with you. "Ablest" is not a thing. It's just left wing nu-speak made up to justify more government overreach.
this video is popping off so idk if you’re still responding to comments, but our moms are friends and hearing about your story and recovery process has been so inspiring. hope to see more from you in the future!
Damn losing an Arm as a Gamer would be my worst Nightmare (after losing Eyesight probably), but you pushed through and made the best out of it. Mad Respect.
To think of it mostly game controller design for normal hands, my friend has few fingers his best option is to play mobile games, or PC instead ,since the button more customizeable but of course to use mouse you need grip and 2 finger atleast 😗
@@kiwoxgen9929 to use a mouse u just need a single finger actually lol.. unless u play shooters or something (aim with right mouse button and shooting with left mouse button together pressed etc). But yea games like Age of empires or rts games u can play one handed quite easily even if u only have 2 fingers
The amount of positivity this guy has is incredible. I think if something like that ever happened to me I'd just sink into a hole of self pity and despair. This guy clearly didn't and has an amazing approach to life.
@@guitarhappy2833 I'm amazed by the amount of humor he was able to inject into the video. I understand that's how some people cope but it's still insane to me that someone could have lost an arm less than a year ago and make jokes about it
Most people who acquire disabilities have a period of mourning and despair before adjusting to a new normal and finding they can usually still do the things they love with patience and creativity.
This was extremely uplifting. You have some real cojones not letting your injury define you and making light of the situation. Much respect, and I’m happy to see you can still enjoy your favorite hobby!

I didn't even realise this was his first video until the very end. He's got an incredible amount of charisma already, something I don't see out of most creators until they have a year or two of posting under their belt. This guy is killing it right out of the gate, I'm keen to see more.
Really glad I got this in my recommended, I couldn't ever imagine losing in arm, as playing games really is my life LOL. Seeing you over come it with your solutions and brightness is really really great to see, I also like your personality and editing!! Wishing you the BEST, a sub from me
Man this was awesome! Congrats on the massive channel kick off. Your positivity after what happened is infectious and genuinely can’t wait to see what other products you try out. I’m actually considering Azeron Cyro now and featuring it on my channel.
Absolutely love your energy! Any person would be rightfully adverse to talk about it something like this happened to them. But making a RU-vid channel, with a great name like that and taking it in stride, is a whole new level of badassery. Inspiring! Can't wait to see more from you!
this is the only video where i actually wanted to watch it twice omg. you are hilarious!!!! the delivery is amazing. you earnt a subscriber here for sure
This is important. Gaming isn't a fade or a joke of an industry. Gaming can be therapy, it can tell hundreds of storys a thousand time more interesting then any live action tv show or book, and as far as i can tell its now a billion dollar industry that not going away. So to see a man take himself in a lowpoint and keep to gaming despite having an injury that would have ended most gamers enjoyment, its inspiring.
Book? No. I appreciate other medias/mediums for leading me to literature. But for me and others like me fiction/stories are superior in text, in books, expressed in literature. It's more portable and cheaper. It doesnt need electricity and other accessories. It's the ultimate physical media. I'll give an example. I played the witcher 3 but the books is much more superior and original. Stories in books has more philosophy and details and has more freedom. In literature it utilizes language to the max so it can produce other arts like making a visual/performance arts from the scenes from a book and making music, melody, poetry from it. Classic literature is the foundation of modern media if not for it we won't have the other medias. Books are also much more personal, if you don't have aphantasia and can make sense, imagine, relate to what you're reading. The quality of title of choice will also be one the main factor if not the main.
Back in 2005 one of my Warcraft guild members lost his arm in a severe car accident, and was worried he couldn’t play WoW anymore. He found a similar solution with a mouse that had a lot of buttons, more than an MMO mouse which already has a lot more buttons than usual. His skill level to this day is extremely high, people are shocked to find out he has one arm.
Bro had so much authentic personality than other content creators i used to watch. Man it's rare to watch some normal guy who's currently enjoy his day, sharing his thoughts and his hobbies, and he doesnt give a damn about his disability. You earned my sub buddy!

i often wonder what i would do if i lost an arm. thanks for sharing your story. i'm glad that your sense of humor has kept up and that you can continue gaming. i hope more products come out that make games more and more accessible for people with disabilities!
this was a very insightful video to me, i have much respect for you! I have a friend who plays singlehandedly as well, due to an accident which caused all the nerves in his dominant hand to be severely damaged beyond repair. He's not the best gamer I've ever met of course, but his skill set with such an interfering disability astonishes me. We play a lot of games that, most comfortably, requires two hands to play (as we both main PC). Seeing him play like any other abled person would doesn't even begin to elucidate the pure admiration i feel for him. It is amazing how humans can adapt so well.
Hey dude, it's great to see your optimism about the whole situation and you're genuinely hilarious. I sincerely hope you get a controller that works for you and I look forward to watching more of your stuff.
I have a mental illness and have been in a bad place for a little while; I haven’t been handling it very well. I’m glad I was recommended your video. How optimistic you are has helped me reframe some of the negative thoughts I’ve had. You have really helped me. Thank you. I wish you all the best. Subscribed.

Almost 2 years ago, I had an accident where I severed the artery in my left arm. The artery reconstruction surgery was successful, but I came very close to losing my arm. I truly sympathize with you; I can't imagine life without an arm. I wish you luck. Fortunately, I can see that you're handling it much better than I would. Due to nerve damage, I lost sensation in the middle and index fingers, but that's nothing compared to what you've been through.

Dude, you are a natural entertainer, and an absolute champ for having such a cool attitude about your accident after only a year. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do in the future!
I really like your content! You're pretty good at keep your audience attention. I'm really sorry that you lost your arm and I'm sure this is something that is way harder to deal with than you show in this video, but I wish you can keep finding happiness in life. This channel already has a lot of success and there are many people like me that would like to keep watching your content, if this is something that you like doing. Thank you, friend!
As a disabled gamer myself (arm paralysis since birth) I literally taught myself how to use a controller as is with just one hand. To give you a small idea of how it works for a Switch Pro controller, my palm controls the left analog stick and my fingers handle the triggers and face buttons. Took me a while to adjust to it but now it feels like second nature for me regardless of game genre. It's awesome to see another disabled gamer to not have their predicament weigh down what they love the most.
I’m amazed at how upbeat and optimistic you manage to be in the face of something that would be debilitating and soul crushing for most people.. Looking forward to the channel’s future!
Good lord, you are one charming and informative dude. This is my kind of niche, nerdy rabbit-hole. I can't wait to see what other content you have planned.
Bro the attitude alone had my subscription but your editing and video layout was really well done as well. Keep up the positive attitude you’re helping out so many amputees giving them hope and showing us all not to cry about our situations but making the most of them. Good on you brother wish you the best!
Not only the attitude, but the fact that he posted a video that is also informative to those in similar situations. He literally just entertained an audience while also dropping a killer solution to a major problem for some people who might've otherwise lost their favorite pass time!🤯
Hey man. I’m a fellow amputee and gamer. However. I’m a left below knee amputee. Been about 14 years since my accident. I always wondered what would I have done if I lost my hand/arm in my accident. My favorite pastime has always been video games. I consider myself lucky and I really commend you for having such a great attitude about it all. Your willingness to adapt and keep so positive is really admirable. It’s so great that we live in an age where so many people have the ability to create these adaptations for people like us and that you can have so many choices. Sure, not all are very practical but the fact that we have options is pretty amazing. Keep at it and keep the passion for the hobby and for life. Life after such a traumatic event can be overwhelming but it’s just different and after so long, will feel just like second nature. Be well, my friend.
the amazing thing about us humans is that we CAN adapt to almost everything life throws at us.. both the good and bad. Best of luck! and hope ur disability doesnt stop u from living ur life to the fullest
I can tell you have a lot of love and support in your life. Very good upbringing. Your caregivers raised you with love. How do I know this? Look what happened to you and what you went through, and look at how optimistic/hopeful you are. That is the key determining factor whether a negative event will make or break you. "Love and Support" Now if you were abused as a child, and were made to be afraid of your caregivers... then a negative event like losing your arm would make you want to off yourself. Why is it like this? Being raised with love and support builds "Resilience" . The more resilience you have, the more resilient you are to hardships.
Very fucking awesome to see someone who lost their arm not giving up and trying to adapt. Also you already seemed to be well seasoned with editing and scripting too that I couldn’t believe this was your FIRST video!!! Can’t wait to see more 🔥
Honestly as a first video it is scary how good it is. You got literally what i wanted in a channel. If the video was just about your missing arm it wouldn't necessarilly grab my attention compared to what you have done here. You somehow took a tragic event that many people would literally never recover mentally from the same event and made that topic into something more lighthearted to give more insight how the hell you manage to keep up with games after missing a limb that is LITERALLY requires 2 because most peripherals are designed that way. Hope i can see more content of yours either related to this topic or branch out to other kind of videos as well. I can already see the joke/pun potential you could have with whatever game you are playing especially with friends who take the whole thing as lighthearted as your portray in this video. Greetings from Greece! Have a nice day
