I want to play tremolo on my ukulele and this lesson and the exercises are THE BEST. Do you recommend a soft or firm plectrum? .

Excellent Mando lessons. New to this and the transition from fretboard tabs to notes is very good. Now it's time for lots of practice.

Nice one Mike. Just returning to this as when you first published it I struggled with the ornaments. Great lesson!

A very colorful style. I can play chord melodies on the mandolin but this broken arpeggio technique will take some rewiring.

These lessons are brilliant. I have a couple of Tangos down and these Choros are a perfect compliment. Its hard to find such complex lessons and tabs. Thank you very much for these. Really well done!

I found this video. It helps to know that double stop tremolo is really hard. I don’t feel so discouraged. I have changed some of the double stops in the exercise to accommodate my small hands and short fingers. Finger really difficult double stops I. The left hand doesn’t help the right hand relax.

No Foggy Mountain Breakdown is a much faster Bluegrass Banjo tune. Confusing right!

Oh, and excellent lesson if I haven't already said so. I've been working on it occasionally for a few weeks and since I've only been playing for 18 months, I didn't think I would get close to being able to double stop tremolo this soon. Thanks man!
@davidmccue3591
@davidmccue3591 Месяц назад
OMG, I'm so close!! Soooooo freakin' close!!! In fact, my hand and brain already know how but my ego won't let go and allow my hand and brain to get their groove on!! It's so crazy! I can tremolo naturally and organically as I'm playing and as long as I don't plan it or try to practice it, I can do it!! WTF. It's gotta mean I'm getting close. A mandolin just doesn't sound like a mandolin without double stop tremolo.

I love all your videos, my friend. Plenty of mandolin teachers on RU-vid, but You're one of the very best. Your free lessons are very well prepared and well taught. I still do your gcd arpeggio exercise ecery single day. That one lesson has done more for me than just about all the lessons ive watched from other teachers. Thanks a million.

Nicely explained. I remember discovering something like it when learning a couple of O'Carolan tunes, Planxty fanny power springs to mind, but once you realise the mechanism the idea tends to spread to other tunes.

Great video as always. I started playing about 6 months ago and your videos have been super helpful, thank you! Torna a Sorriento and the Vivaldi concerto videos/pdfs are some of the main things I've been using to practice. And because I am an avatar of the yawning maw of need that is the internet, I must make a small request. If you ever feel like doing a follow up on the next section of the concerto, that would be amazing. I want to eventually learn the whole thing but my music reading skills are not quite up to the task yet. Anyways, thanks again for all the work that goes into this!
