i've got a shiny regice after like 5 minutes of trying and i wasn't able to fucking catch it because it was my first time with regis so i didn't prepare right
When i was doing my original playthrough of pokemon ruby, i had killed groudon, i was told to beat the e4 and champion to have it respawn, i did that and it didnt respawn, is that not how its done?
I was wondering if the 5 characters were just for the display? if I put the save back on an english copy it will show the 6+ characters name again, right? and also, does this work on emerald too? (jap emerald to eng emerald)
@@BigBangBen- Deoxys took like 3 months of on and off hunting to find sadly, and no you can't get it without getting the event. there may be a way to do it with a berry glitch, but i'm not aware of it.
@@BigBangBen- here's an update, I made a copy of my save file and reset the event pokemon, so if you head over to my discord and go to the "Downloads" section you can download the saves to play them on an emulator or put them on a physical cartridge. (discord.gg/mkWM2BdN)
If you wanted to do the entire setup like I did, you would need 2 gameboys advances, 2 wireless adapters, a flashcard, and a copy of firered or leafgreen my setup cost about $50 bevauae I already had the gameboys. Alternatively you could buy a "GBX reader" and put the event on your cartridge like that, they're about $33
I don't know if anyone commented this already but for Record Mixing to work the Emerald copy you are sending Eon Ticket from needs to be Player 1, yes, the cable is actually directional. If it doesn't work the first time, plug your link cable out and swap the ends to the other GameBoy, it should work then! Hope this helps somebody!!
Dope shiny dude! I am currently setting up this hunt, how quickly can you access Birth Island once you have the ticket? Is it once the SS Anne leaves or do you have to complete the Elite Four?
Let's see during these hunts I think I was still using emulators, and I used mgba with a controller, that automatically synced up the input across all my windows.
Did you ever try putting the Sapphire save on the Ruby game? Curious if that works with no issues or not. Also have you tried any other generations if they work switching to a different language game?

Articuno was always my favorite of the trio, but I think shiny moltres looks the best. I can hardly tell a difference with the shiny sprites for Articuno and Zapdos. /:
Ah yes. I remember my shiny birds. Got them in fire red and leaf green too along with mewtwo for my shiny living dex. I remember being so happy when I found them the first time… then so pissed that they were coming out again in usum and I was like why did I replay fire red and lead green so many times? (To get the master ball every time wasn’t going to risk full odds shiny legends)
I am so glad that are invested in an action replay when I was a kid and kept it because I can just make a shiny in 30 seconds. I will never understand why people will look for months for something for a different color and that’s it
The adrenaline rush of catching a shiny you've been working hard for is what drives shiny hunters. Making one for yourself with action replay is totally valid, but it's not the same as catching one yourself, because the memories of the process are part of what makes it special. What I mean to say is that there's more to it than the different color; people get hooked on that 'high' of choosing to hunt a shiny and actually getting it after a lot of effort
Lmao as if one hacked with an Action replay had any bit of value, especially compared to a legit shiny Deoxys from Birth Island. People are so illogical
i just found shiny latías after not even 3 days of just casually resetting in the back and the adrenaline was indeed crazy, my hands are stilll very much slightly shaking lmao
