“The core of mans' spirit comes from new experiences.” ― Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild
This is a sentiment that has stuck with me for some time. Luckily, as I go into college I see all the possibilities ahead of me, and all the new experiences I can have. My main goal for the next four years will be chasing those experiences. Finding ways to feed that spirit and to have something to look back on so I can live a life in which I don't wish I'd done more.
I’m so glad I’m back to watching you guys on RU-vid! I got so caught up on Uni and my degree, it got to the point where I had forgotten to have my “down time” through RU-vid!😂 Anyways I am loving catching up on your vlogs Isaiah! I’m loving the artistic shots of Jacksonville in the begging, so beautiful! Wishing you all the best
I think it’s ok for kids to be in family blogs if they are treated with respect like you and Abby are. I know whenever Abby was “done” your dad would end the recording for that day and I really respected that.
Influencer (noun)- a person with the ability to influence potential buyers of a product or service by promoting or recommending the items on social media.
Isaiah, I lost the Fathering Autism channel from my iPhone and iPad. I was just wondering if it's just my phone or did something happen to the channel?? 🤔 Thanks ❤
Im used to just watching your dads videos. However after seeing thus vlog by you. I will watch your vidoes. We all have different accepects of life ,morals & perpectives. We are all enough. We alm have boundaries to take in to consideration. Breaks my heart that theres is even a judment how someone makes a living. Think how we ought To Thank verse in the Bible &. I have come acrossed many judgment Christians in that makes my heart bleed 🩸🔙👠🌹🙏🌠💪❤️⚔️🩷🎯
I’m late to the comment section but I highly disagree Isaiah. Children should 100% be protected at all costs from appearing on the internet regardless of “how nice or wholesome” the family or content is. There should absolutely be legislation
Completely agree. Even if the families are making positive content that isn't necessarily directly "harmful", children are too young to realise the potential ramifications of being exposed to millions of people via camera. Not to mention the emotional impact of your parents filming you all the time purely for their own income as well as the fact that most children aren't reimbursed properly for their labor. Plus there are creeps and bullies all over the internet which the kids can then see when they inevitably view the comments. I can't imagine the impact it has on their wellbeing and confidence at such a young age. For me family vlogging is just a melting pot of issues that outweigh any positive impact it might have. It should be banned altogether. And if not, then some serious restrictions need to be put in place.
Oh Isaiah. Running errands for the parents nevet ends. Im almost 44 ans still doing it 😂😂😂 Great topic today. Im not sure the answer. Govt already over-reaches
I personally believe that any creator who has videos that make money with a child in it (over a certain percentage of time the child in the video) should have to pay into a “fund” with a law determined percentage of profit. Much like child actors; to be given access at 18. For example: any child shown more than 20% of the monetized posted video should have 10% of that video’s profits held in a separate funds account to which they are given sole access at 18. To protect those kids who’s parents don’t give them a better life(like yours did) and instead take the profits for themselves. I also wish there was a better reporting program at RU-vid: one that actually has checks and balances and works. So those families who are shady, don’t get to make more money off being shady. (Ex, parent putting young children in compromising outfits and positions knowingly gaining attention of certain people). These types of laws won’t hurt those that are already doing the right thing. The purpose of these laws aren’t to hurt the ones doing the right thing…they’re put in place to stop the most unimaginable, horrific, sometimes unbelievable things humans can do to children. Sometimes when you’re the good guys it’s hard to remove bias and see these things for what they’re trying to stop, instead of what they might make more difficult for you. If that all makes sense. Hope you were able to read some actually constructive perspectives and not just angry people being angry.
