I’m glad you love your job. One of the biggest challenges with the hab techs, day support, community networking support team members etc.. is they are a very vital role in the day to day teaching of various skills to each individual person and they barely make minimum wage. There’s usually a high turnover rate bc they have to find better paying jobs. Unfortunately the majority of society still doesn’t recognize mentally challenged people as a productive part of society therefore the people working with them aren’t viewed as much more than a babysitter. I appreciate you and your family for sharing and showing how vital they are in our families and for our society.
