It might be number one but it is crap. This has been done a few times only now it’s a woman who is the hardest man in town.All the men are either evil or wimps. And in the ending she’s let’s the man pick out the paint. He asks her to choose the color. She’s you pick the color kiddo because you will be looking at it. I bet Clint Eastwood loved this so called movie.
I mean that’s kind of what happens when you’re just expecting a remaking of the old movie. If you go in to watch a new movie with another movie in mind, you won’t enjoy it for what it is. And that’s exactly what happened here. The movie was phenomenal.
During the whole review I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that the Syndicate also wanted a list of spies or something in Mission Impossible. The Union, the Syndicate... Anyway. Great review haha
Totally agree. He was doing good stuff for a little while with Peter Burg. They did Deepwater Horizon and Patriots Day together. But yeah, these days he's just getting the easy paycheck roles.
You felt like things kept escalating? It felt boring as HELL to me. I checked my watch four times during the movie. By the time the alien caught the chick falling down the elevator shaft WITH ITS F’ING TAIL-I was DONE. I wanted to walk out at that point. I will never, ever watch this movie again. I was MAD leaving the theater-I felt cheated!! This did not entertain me, this was NOT a fun movie and I am so shocked that people LIKE THIS! Like, HOW??
I'm new to your channel, but you did such a great job, I liked and subscribed. Did I like the film? I loved it. Cuckoo reminded me of a fast-paced David Lynch story. As to the setting and the characters, look man, the surreal, cut-out-looking scenery was by design. Nothing was as it appeared. The characters were weird, the setting was weird, and the script was weird af. This film and The Coffee Table were the most original films of the year. I think the time loop was an effect of the humanoid call. It was like that screeching tone caused people to hallucinate that wrinkle in time, and it bought those creatures enough time to impregnate the women. That's fucking crazy.

It’s in Kowloon Walled City so closeup shots makes sense and if Sammo was willing to take part means the kung fu quality is premium. Understanding the origin base of this film will see the blend of two kung fu styles are well done.
Hell yeah, this movie kicked so much ass. It felt like a modern HK Golden Age movie! Especially with Sammo Hung in it! And it's based off a comic book. That's where all the random powers and stuff comes in. lol
Fucking agree with everything. Expectations for movies this year have completely been the opposite of my experience of the movie itself and I’m so happy for that. Surprising an amazing year for horror. This one takes the cake for me personally.
I say this without any hyperbole, I think 2024 just may be the best year for horror we've ever got. Sure, a lot of them aren't box office smash hits, but damn man, almost every horror to come out this year has been fantastic. Thanks for watching!!!
Interesting that you find the fight scenes funny, which i don't feel the same at all. I think it is because the movie is an adoption of graphic-novel. Compare with the comic, director Soi toned down the non-realistic fighting A LOT, and he is famous for making noir films. Probably it is the reason why you find two styles in this movie
I watched the YT channel shark bytes he goes over the scientific or lack of the truth that things in the movie aren't real.. Putting it with this YT channel is interesting I thought a long with funny.. an how many times are you goin to say climax lol still like your channel
When I first saw the trailer, I was like: "Yay, ugly ass colours, poorly-used digital effects, bland art direction, stiff and lifeless animation, it's gonna be greeeeaaaaaat". Hell, why are they so allergic to lighting? It's not because everything is smeared in gray that it conveys darkness effectively, it just looks hideous and unimaginative.
There's no harm in giving it a shot! Like I said, there were a few episodes that I enjoyed, but as a whole, it's just a dud. But that's just me, don't let my negative take sway you. Give it a go, maybe you'll like it :)
Batman honestly feels like a secondary character in his own show. It takes until episode 6 for him to actually feel like the main character, and after that it goes right back to focusing on Gordon and Montoya
It’s “WOKE”, that’s the problem! The ghost is in the comic book, and it was on Batman, the brave and the bold. He’s called the gentleman ghost classic Batman. I realized this show is not for the original fans. It’s for the new generation.

I really enjoyed the Ghost episode because it shows some of the more out-of-this-world stuff that can happen in Gotham City and makes Bruce have to put his personal biases to the test to stop certain crimes.
You wanted this show to be like the animated series but it’s simply not, the show is great and you can’t enjoy it because your expectations were unrealistic
I enjoyed the show. But I don't disagree with any of your points. Especially the ghost episode felt wildly out of place. Especially for this take on batman, as everything up to that point seemed more grounded and street level. The Firebug episode with hunt for Batman was probably my favourite.

I feel like this was a warm up season. Like, a set up season for future seasons. Not sure if that even makes sense but yeah. Batman had an arc though at least. He started off being kind of an asshole to Alfred in the yhe beginning but by the end of the season he softened on him a little. Feels like THIS Alfred was bullied into helping Bruce be batman though 🤣
You're probably right! Even though I wasn't over the moon over this, I'm still looking forward to whatever they come up with next. At the end of the day, it'll just be more Batman, and you can never have too much Batman lol
I feel like it's only called Batman: Caped Crusader because "The Barbara Gordon and Renee Montoya show" doesn't really roll off the tongue. It would have been nice to see more Batman in the Batman cartoon.
I don't mind Batman being sidelined for an episode or two as long as the episode we get is entertaining. But yeah, it did feel like he was mostly absent for the mid section of the season :(
I quite like it, but it's not great. There's something soulless about it. It doesn't lean in to the noir vibe as much as it should It seems to just be a setting rather than the whole vibe.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but not liking this series because it has origin stories to familiar characters is nonsensical to me given the fact that this is a REBOOT. I'm not sure what this person expected, for their to be new version of these character but not have a different backstory?
To be fair, I'm not saying the show is bad just because there's a Two Face origin story. I'm just saying that ending the season with yet ANOTHER Two Face origin, an origin we've seen so many times at this point, was just really uninteresting. What's so cool about Batman is that he has so many good villains. Give us a different origin story, maybe one we don't see as often. Give me Poison Ivy, Mr Freeze, or even the example I gave in my video, The Penguin. Any of those would've been more interesting to me than just another Two Face origin. But hey, it sounds like you enjoyed it, and at the end of the day, that's what matters. This is just my opinion :)
