RW, you are on a roll with reviewing these classics. Keep it up Off the top of my head I recommend Three Days of the Condor, The French Connection, The Seven Ups and the Long Good Friday.

Thanks once again for your kind words. Yeah, this summer seems pretty bland in Hollywood, so in order to keep my channel afloat with reviews, I'll be reviewing a bunch of older flicks. There's still a handful of summer movies I'm excited for, but they're few and far between. I really want to watch Condor, which has been on my radar for a while now.

50 years later.....IRT #6 Train Service still running today between Brooklyn Bridge and Pelham Bay Park.... Granted it is a movie review.

Can you point out some more "edge of your seat movies" from the 70s (besides the classic disaster movies)? Also, please check out Bullet Train (1975)!

Oh boy. Unfortunately, there aren't too many movies like Pelham in that era. But some that come to mind would be Speilbergs first movie Duel, The Parallax View, Black Sunday, Dirty Harry, Dog Day Afternoon, or The Coversation. These aren't apples to apples comparisons to how fast paced Pelham is but they're intense I their own ways. I haven't seen Bullet Train 1975, I haven't even heard of it, I'll have to check it out. I've seen Runaway Train from the 70s but not Bullet Train. Thanks for the recommendation!!!
