As a small family builder business, there isn’t a chance in he** we would build someone a house with no money down (no skin in the game) and no pay up during the build to fund it. All this VA stuff is comical….it’s always about how the veteran can build a house or buy a house with zero skin in the game…..meaning the other party (seller or builder) has to absorb all the risk. Nothing against veterans as my husband is one, but the whole VA loan system completely ignores the unfavorable circumstances it puts the seller in and thinks the seller will just do it out of the goodness of their heart. Ridiculous. 🤦♀️

So Veterans United doesn't assist service members with building homes but are more than happy to swoop in and take the long term loan after the risk is assumed by another lender willing to partner up and take that risk with said service member. Got it. Veterans United in name only.
This is a predatory loan company that will sell your mortgage to less reputable predatory loan company. Sold mine only three weeks after I closed. Hey Veterans United what will you do once the Veteran community learns that you are just another predatory loan company?
Isn't this so sweet, hey fuck faces, you take advantage of Vets and then sell our mortgages to predatory mortgage servicers. If you are a Veteran, stay away from this company they will just fuck you over.
That’s nice to give mortgage free homes to disabled war veterans, but what about the military men and women who lost their lives to war and left spouses without a way to support their families because they lost their main source of income!
I am extremely disappointed and frankly furious about the way Nina and Jason treated us throughout this loan process. I'm more than willing to provide you with all the email exchanges between you, Nina, and me, which clearly showcase the numerous mistakes made at every stage of my loan application and your evident manipulation of my words. To illustrate my point, I was initially approved by you for a $100,000 FDA loan. It was only after I was transferred to your sister company, Paddio, that I discovered my approval for that amount was not legitimate, a fact you confirmed when I requested to be transferred back to Veterans United. This error on your part caused my approved amount to plummet down to $90,000. My family of seven has been on the hunt for a new home for months, incurring expenses like gas and countless hours spent with our realtor, Blake Billington. Throughout this entire process, Blake consistently kept you informed about the properties we were considering and placing offers on. So, why, after an offer was finally accepted, was I suddenly informed that I was no longer approved, and the only way forward was to pay $1,550 to some in-house credit service? Additionally, I had to contact your manager on multiple occasions because you failed to respond to my inquiries for days at a time. Your condescending tone when I asked about my husband's credit monitoring service was completely inappropriate. Furthermore, I'd like to know how you managed to miscalculate my data by $10,000. I still have the text message I sent you, explicitly asking you not to contact me, as it is evident that you specifically engage in predatory lending practices, completely wasting not only my time but also my entire family's time due to your inability to perform your job correctly. I never once requested that you or anyone at Veterans United completely withdraw my file. I've been dealing with this company, unfortunately, with you, since this summer. The countless hours my family has wasted driving, searching, researching, and more driving cannot be understated. What about the time and resources of my realtor that were squandered because of your reckless behavior? I cannot adequately express the anger and frustration that your utter lack of professionalism and competence has caused my family. Furthermore, it's essential to highlight that if we had paid the inspection fees, we would have been out over $1,000, and it's clear that Nina was aware of this situation. This added financial burden only compounds the reckless and uncaring treatment we've experienced throughout this entire process.

Hey im looking into buying as soon as i get out of active duty how would that work for me in terms of continuity ? I also have a degree (but i have never worked in that career field before)
We may have been approved for the max amount for a va home loan, BUT in order for us to use it we have to find a builder that is willing to completely build the house out of pocket BEFORE the builder gets paid! Talk about some dumbass shit idea!!!!! NO ONE in our area is willing to do that!! Then was told that maybe it’s best for us to just buy instead of build 🤦♂️. I have land that’s been in the family for several several generations, why would we just give that up

If we could just love those things away it would be a dream come true ..they all deserve so much from We The People ... I'm a 100% disabled Afghan War Vet, exempt from property taxes where I live, and the company "New Rez" you sold my mortgage to decided they didn't recognize my state tax exemption and raised my monthly payment after a year from 1269 a month to 2034 a month. I live on a fixed income and that is an 800 dollar a month increase.
