I saw an old 80s Ford truck commercial on YT. Those old trucks got 21 mpg. The 2025 Ford trucks get 23 mpg. Little improvement yet you're stuck with a car size gas tank. I don't want to fuel up every three days.
Enjoy!!!!! def one of our fav places!!! I hope you guys get lots of snow- but if you don't, its still a wonderful experience and relaxing as it can get!
I am an old pickup truck driver from back in the day My Ford F-150 standard cab regular bed had a 36 gallon fuel tank. I stay away from trucks made today because now they have a 23 gallon fuel tank. These automakers need to go back to putting decent size fuel tanks in their trucks so you don't have to have an auxiliary tank in your bed just to transfer fuel to the truck. Come on Ford Chevy Nissan Toyota. All of you building full size trucks. Put a full size fuel tank in your full size truck and don't limit the size based on trim level.
my F350 has a 35 gal on board as its reg fuel tank, so the 40 aux tank was just for stress free traveling when we do longer trips. And i use ti to fuel up at cheap stations and fuel my other cars at home lol. what can i say- gotta save them dollars when the economy is so bad. But regardless i agree with you 100%! they don't make them like they use to and your old school Ford will outlive mine 10 fold!
Breakfast and lunch included with an evening desert and coffee- but dinner is not included. But plenty of yummy options right where its located in the village. SO gives ppl an opportunity to get out and have a nice dinner somewhere. It is an adult hotel only. But its sister hotel The Enzian Inn is very kid friendly and has a whole play area with all sorts of games- i did a video on that hotel on my channel too :) Ive even heard of couples going her and getting a room at the Enzian for the kids and grandparents to look after kids
You are grossly underestimating your length. That trailer tip to tip is longer than 27’! TT Tip to tip is gonna be more like 32-34’. Your truck is at least 18-20’ if you have a standard bed. So you are for sure pushing over 50’ long. Good to know if you are traveling like you are.
Dude, some 303 ceramic spray on the trailer before your trip and those bugs will wash right off without even any soap….just water pressure. We live in FL and TT about 10k miles per year with our TT and this helps with FL bugs

Hope you're still trucking 350...I have 23 350 tremor...installing same transfer flow 40...how did you get the driver side front bolt installed??? Any underside pics available?? Hope you see this message 😮 great vid!
Thanks for reaching out brotha!!! love the 350!!! the 23's got a sick new front look along with other things!!! Congrats on the truck!! i send you a msg in instagram showing in detail on that placement of that drivers side bolt. Did you find that helpful?
"Gas is cheaper than diesel." Is a bit simplistic. My F150 gas got 17 mpg empty, and 4 mpg towing my 10k toy hauler l. My F350 diesel gets 15 mpg empty, and 13 mpg with the RV.
sure but at the same time- Im not towing a trailer 90% of the time. while Diesel does get more MPG by a few, it cost more a gallon not to mention def and other maintenance. WA where i live you cant even do a cat delete anymore
@@thatoffroadfamily I travel a lot for work, and live in the RV when I do, so I'm towing almost 100% of the time. Diesel engines also last longer, so you have to factor in the cost of buying a new truck twice as soon (assuming you don't wreck it before it starts breaking down too often to be useful anymore)
@@thatoffroadfamily they'll probably try, but I doubt they'll succeed. Too many industries rely on vehicles that can drive a long distance with a heavy load without stopping for 8 hours every 100 miles to charge their batteries.
I have a 2022 F-350 Godzilla and love it. Personal opinion, I've gone places with vehicles that were never intended to be where I got them. Some patience and experience will get you anywhere you wanna go.
Yes sir!!!! I learned a lot by taken her out on my first trail with a bigger truck. Had a Tacoma for a decade 😆- but you’re 💯 on that!! I would have gone up just fine if I knew my truck better!! I’ll be doing a new video this month!!! Also having the @morrflate inflate deflate System is gonna be so much help on this next trip!!
from my understanding the payload on the F350 is higher than the F250. But that also depends on the package you have on it and if your looking at gas vs. diesel
Great videos man. I’m in the market for a F350 Godzilla. The one thing I keep hearing from F350 owners is the rice quality with the family with an empty bed. Have you had any issues with ride quality? Would you change the suspension to maybe a Carli suspension? I’d like to hear your thoughts
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch my travel series and take a moment to comment :) I've had a few people now tell me to do carli suspension, but to be honest this thing stock rides sooooo well - it has the tremor package and ride quality is phenomenal ! loaded and empty. ive owned a Toyota tacoma and a Toyota highlander both of which are suppose to be smooth, but out of all the cars ive owned the superduty is the smoothest and most enjoyable ride ive had. I dont see any reason to upgrade the suspension unless i was to do full time offraod/overlanding with it and needed even more clearance. the only upgrade I want to do is an exuast system to really bring out that 7.3L engine!!
thanks for watching, and taking the time to leave a comment. Also congrats on the trailer purchase and have fun out on the road! glad the review helped choose between the models :)
I purchased a better built transfer steel tank for gasoline. I called the company they said do not put gas because it would explode from pressure build up . How did you manage this issue. I purchased a 100 gallon tank. Your feed back will be deeply appreciated.
So Better Built tanks are primary non flammable liquids only, I think that’s just their focus and a way to keep costs low. Their construction can’t handle the pressure of expanding gasses the way Transfer Flow does. I don’t believe that company makes tanks for gasoline. Even though their caps do have a vent just like Transfer Flow tanks. Transfer Flow tanks are DOT approved for both Diesel and Gasoline. In fact they send out a sticker for you to put on the tank to mark what fluid is in their in case there’s ever an emergency and it needs to be identified. I know that Transfer Flow uses 14 gauge aluminum vs 11 on Better Built which I’m sure is part of the reasoning of why they only do diesel. Ive had my tank now for over a year now- we took the truck with it installed form WA to FL on a road trip and back last summer and we spent most of our time in the south heat of TX, AZ, and FL and we had absolutely zero issues with it. Its pretty amazing! I never filled it up to the very top when I was in 90+ degree weather, but did have most of the capacity filled and zero issues with heat. In addition to the cap having a vent, there’s also a vent with tube on top that you route out of the bed.
yes, i bought the Furrion Vision S- www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D92456Q/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 Ill add the link in the Description too
It is a great family truck. I think the tires make it not great on ice but I agree with all your comments. Used to have a F150 and it doesn’t compare. This feels like a truck
People are having major issues with ford's 7.3 between 20 and 60k. The 6.4 has been around for almost 20 years and hotshot drivers are getting 350 to 400k miles before they are having issues. They upgraded the 6.4l in 19 to include forged wrist pins and stronger pistons. Now the entire engine is forged with the demon sodium filled exhaust valves.
You Should look into Dunesport custom built trailers to your specs NOT THERES Dig the Tremor 350 I have a 2022 xlt f250 Godzilla with a Flowmaster setup and Holly setup from the dealer here in Aug the pro-charger is available
Just came across your channel and subscribed. I have the same setup as you. When you went into the upfitter switch did you use a second switch for the purge wire?
Thanks for taking a moment to leave a comment and thanks for the sub!!!! I did not use a 2nd switch. Just went direct into the dedicated upfitter section under the hood with the wires and connected it there and then isolated it. Am i understanding that right?
Thanks for sharing this video. Fellow PNWr here in the Skagit Valley. I just found your channel today. I am looking forward to watching your past videos. I just made the leap made my very first new vehicle order. I opted for the '23 F350 Lariat ultimate Tremor 7.3L Godzilla 4.30 rearend in rapid red, with all the bells and whistles. This was a last minute order so it make be quite the wait. This truck is going to be working for sure towing a 35' Grand Design Momentum 320g toyhauler dry weight 12480 GVWR 16800. 2300 lbs pin weight.
Thanks for taking the time to follow, watch our content and subscribe! I proposed to my wife at the Tulip Festival in Skagit Valley!!! what a awesome city! 2023's come with a brand new facelift which looks SOOO CLEAN!!!! RED????? Man that thing is going to be amazing on the road (especially with that 7.3!) I LOVE the 7.3! Insane power! Def jealous of that grand Design!!!! I should have bought that instead of the one i had for the money- but didn't do enough research on 5th wheels and coming form a family who never owned trailers i didn't have recommendations. Should of researched more- Our next one is going to be a Grand Design!!!! Hauling that with our 7.3's will BE BUTTER!!!!! i tow my 7k dry like nothing is even back there lol- so 12-17k will be a breeze for the truck. I LOVE that payload on our sets ups!!!! insanely impressive!!!
Ive been watching alot of their official company videos on their different trailers, they keep saying their rigs are "true" half ton towable. Just wondering what you are towing yours with?
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! Im happy the review wasn't a waste of time and helping others make decisions on their travels :) SEE YOU ON THE ROAD :D
Might get this for my ram 2500 6.4 hemi. I’ve been searching for ways to extend range without stopping at gas stations. Looks like I’ve found my solution!
so awesome that this video helped another person out there with the same problem i once had!!! thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment! Ive had it for a little over a year now and haven't had a single issue with it- Use it bi weekly to fill up the second car and get gas when i drive around and find a good low price- and of course to save a ton on trips and hassle of thinking of where to stop!
