These cluster lights are great. My issue with lots of light is they overpower and make the decor hard to see. I suppose this issue would be helped by using ornament colors that are more visible. 🎄🤍Janet
Your placement of the garland deep into the tree makes the balls look more like natural berries. Ball garlands make for quick & easy decorating & removing and they look so much better than small dotted ornaments everywhere. Giant ornaments act as a nice backdrop of color deep in the tree too.
I would like to know if anyone has done this but used REAL branches?? I would imagine real pine or spruce bows would have to be in a water pick of some sort. Does anyone make a large water pick for this purpose?
The fresh branches have been used before with no water source. They last about a week. They are much heavier than the artificial so it does pull on the tree quite a bit. Pine works the best. There are large water tubes available for this purpose.
Were Catholics. We still observe Advent. We’re buying a live tree on tomorrow, Dec 17. We’ll decorate on Monday. The big thing in our house is a huge Nativity scene. It takes up the entire entranceway. I’m so excited because I finally got an inn.
Where are the videos showing this REAL Christmas trees? I heard you shouldn't wrap lights around the branches of a real tree as it can damage it and drop needles. All the videos I've seen are for fake trees!
We don’t decorate but 1 fresh tree every year. Either way, the same technique will work, weave in and out only loosely looping around every third of fourth branch just to hold in place.
Love your beautiful trees and your detailed explanations! Where can I purchase some quality stems? Hobby stores have them but they are short and not very full. Thank you again, I feel like I can achieve a better tree.
I could just imagine how expensive this would be to buy these types of stems. Instead of buying the individual stems, I'd say, find entire trees at thrift stores or Marketplace and be sure they are individual branches and not the ones that are permanently attached. Probably much cheaper and more bang for your buck.
This idea is more for a designer higher end look. We are an high end floral design studio. Another channel might have some more budget friendly ways to add stems. There is a difference between an high end designer look with nicer realistic stems and just making it look fuller. But thank you for your input for those that might know the difference.
Gotcha. Some of us do have the knowledge of locating and creating high end looking things without spending a fortune at the expensive boutiques. I'm sure the some of the "designers" watching your channel just may appreciate the tip I gave in order for them to obtain a higher profit margin, since that seems to be the end goal here. We can ship them to you. Apparently, they are difficult to find. They are by Raz. We have them in silver, gold, red, multi and multi with red, white and green.
Try buying all that stuff. A million dollar tree. I cant afford that. So only rich people can have trees that look like that. I bought 10 picks with a 50% off coupon and it was $50. Count the number of picks she uses. Plus the gorgeous ribbon is way out of my price range.
Be brave and always think ahead. To plan a few weeks ahead will help. I am 21 years on ,5 surgeries later and an implant I’m still decorating for Christmas.
