Hello Brook! It’s nice to find your channel. I agree with you about the quality of a ribbon. I have over the years trying to save money and what I find is, first the stitching is not the same and you get started to put your ribbon on the tree or whatever you’re decorating, and all of a sudden that gold or outside trim stitching comes undone and you have already put half of the role on and now you’ve got a flaw in your ribbon. Often times when you open the second & third role, it will be the same poor stitching and now you’re stuck with going out to buy new ribbon so you’ve wasted money. One of my all-time favorite ribbons is similar to what you had is where is two different colors and I’ve never thought of flipping a small loop like you just did on the tree and I really liked that accent. However I think it’s important if you do that you have to continue making that small flip as you go on and on around. Also I know if you were going to decorate a tree you would have much more ribbon on it Then what you showed today. You were just using this as an example of how to put the ribbon on, correct? I am looking forward to seeing more of your channel and also to see the wonderful things that you have in your store. I think you spoke very well as you worked were so many people add “unnecessary extras such as like, and uh’s....” & it was so refreshing to have someone who speaks without any of that. Oprah Winfrey would be impressed with your communication level but also I’m impressed with your sweetness.… And you’re just beautiful if I may say so as well. I did not take my tree down this year for four months for that same reason♥️🎄
Hi Vickie, thank you so much for your sweet message. Yes, this was just a demonstration of how to decorate a tree. In our shop, we have a selection of fully decorated trees starting in October. I like to repeat the flip of the ribbon. It is important in any design that you have repetition of the same technique. With this size tree, I would recommend at least six ribbon reversals "flips". We will be featuring more videos on decorating throughout the year, although Christmastime is our absolute favorite! I would love to get Oprah's stamp of approval on our channel and videos... haha! It will be something that I aspire to!
