Hi! I'm Martina. I help people migrating to Australia settle in this amazing country. The videos on my channel will give you key information on getting started with your move to Australia, working and studying here, and navigating the migration experience.

My story: I migrated to Australia nearly 10 years ago. I completed my Bachelor degree in Psychological Science and Master's here, got a professional job upon graduating, and got my PR and Aussie citizenship soon after. My professional background is in settlement and job-ready community development programs with migrants, professional skills assessments for migration, and organisational development.

Note: For job search support, refer to our Online Career Coaching Program - bit.ly/career-coaching-jobs-lsa

We do not provide immigration advice - for this always contact a registered migration agent, never accept visa-advice from non-registered people online (doing this is highly illegal).

Although this is a wonderful summary of Australia, in regards to the food part/hours of opening for restaurants really depends and varies. Especially in suburbs and the city, it's very common for restaurants to be open till 11 or even 1am. For reference I live in southern bne but I have visited both Mel and Syd and experience the same closing times

For schools, especially primary schools/ Years 1 through 7, on your first day is often when your bag is heaviest as you're bringing everything you need for your classes be it a book for english, sceience, maths, along with essential stationary, ect. After thay you'll often just your bag carrying your linchbox or whatever youre storing your lunch in, water bottle, your book/s for homeworkand any books you borrowed from the school librarymeaning your bag is often significantly lighter. And you'll only have afew books for more transitional classes Like physical education, Music and Science. Once you transition to high school (Years 8 through 12), you'll be carrying all your stationary books, ect, so most will only take the supplies they need for the day of their schedule. Leaving the rest at home, mext to other things, like ingredients for home economics class and so on.

Hi dear, Can you guide. Silly doubt. Do I need ANMAC assessment if I come to Australia on a 482 visa? One of the hospitals I applied is ready to give me 482 visa. Once I am coming closer to expiration of that I will apply for PR. So when is ANMAC neccessary? Is it when I apply for PR. or now? Is there any validity for ANMAC assessment? I am a Critical Care Registered Nurse in Ireland working here for the last 5 years and another 5 years in home country. I am also APHRA registered.

Dragging one of the trollies for 2km walk to school would have been an absolute hassle for my bag with lunchbox and exercise book. Unless things have changed dramatically since the 90's the bags are lighter then they look.

Every time i see a video of someone spreading Vegemite it is always applied far to thick. It is little wonder that so many foreigners do not like this product as they have been introduced to this overpowering condiment incorrectly. Vegemite is usually spread very thinly. It has a very strong, salty flavour. I have witnessed some who spread theirs like this video but it is not the norm. Good water has always been scarce in Australia. We don't use bidets due to water usage.

My sister moved to Australia in 2001 and this month (Sept) marks 23 years. I’ve only seen her 4 times since and it’s been 8 years since the last time. It’s sad, but I’m glad she’s happy and thriving where she is.

Not all toilets are separate, it's either in the bathroom or in a room by itself. Nobody really thinks about it. I reckon it's about 50/50. Vegemite is as far from chocolate as you can get. You don't need a specialist for an upset stomach. You don't need a specialist for a smear either. Aren't GP's this capable in other countries? I'm not sure any of these are unique to Australia (except the wildlife and Vegemite)

It was nice that you go tot try Vegemite properly. It always annoys me a little when people try it by just getting a whole spoonful raw or something. It's a spread, of course it's going to be really strong if you eat it like that. You wouldn't eat margarine like that either yet it tastes great on toast. I would have said butter but I believe there are people who loves just staight butter. When i was a kid I'd eat all the little butter packets at restaurants.

I don't know when you left Argentina, but since 2020 (COVID), everyone there has been using dating apps, Particullarly in big cities like Buenos Aires. All of my single friends use dating apps, and many of them have gotten into long-lasting relationships after meeting on dating apps.

Hi :) Highly recommend watching this video about living in Sydney - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BcbKBaDE03M.html here there's a breakdown of the main areas / suburbs and from there you can do your research (google maps, realestate.com.au, etc.) based on your needs and circumstances. Hope it helps.

Absolutely beautiful and in some parts wild and free. But omg how expensive can a country be and still attracts tourists in droves. Do not expect snakes or people eating spiders to jump out of every Bush. I went in 05 06 and 07 and the cost between 05 and 07 was astronomical and all these years later it's not changed.

For backpacks, it’s just that bags for little kids are either too tiny to fit their lunch, or they’re designed for adults or older kids Generally a little kid won’t carry their bag very often, and if they’re wearing a large bag it either won’t have much in it or they’re pretending to be an adult for a little while

Do not pick up hard rubbish , in most states its illegal to pick up anything thats not yours on the street unless you have made a reasonable attempt to find the owner . It a charge by police of " steal by finding" and you go to court if caught .
