Join me on my exploration and travels around China. I will be going back on the 9th of February 2024 and look forward to making some new and better quality videos of real life and real situations in China. Thank you for watching!
Thanks for your comment. Yes sorry if I said the wrong thing but at the time I was really struggling. I asked the tour guide at the very beginning if she would turn the volume down because it was too loud for me. Also because I could not understand what was being said and because it was constant but she basically refused and said if I wasn't happy then I needed to cancel the trip. She was not going to change anything just for one person. This is why I struggled with her because of her attitude or she needed to do was turn the volume down which would have made life a lot more comfortable. But anyway I did not mean to be disrespectful. So please accept my apology if I have been
Thank you for your comment. Yes I had no problem with the talking but it was. The volume was extremely loud and after politely asking her if she would turn the volume down. She basically said if I'm not happy then cancel the trip! All she needed to do was turn the volume down a bit. But the third lady was very nice, she was the one who took us in the mountain. She was not too loud and I really appreciated her. She was much more polite. But as a foreigner because I did not understand any of what was being said in all due respect to me it was just noise. Please don't take offence but sorry if I said the wrong thing
My wife used to take me to all the tourist hotspots as well lol. And fancy spas. The best trip I ever did though was to Shanhaiguan (Dragon's Head) where the great wall ends at the sea. It's not far from where you are living. Up in the hills the wall is dilapidated and barely recognisable as a wall, a good stiff walk up mountains, very few people and an incredible feeling of age and history. You can walk for an hour on the wall without seeing anyone when you walk far enough. great for country people and pilots like us my friend and the village is charming. Or was in 2010 when I was there. No bomb-out spots I could see though. You will feel more at home there.
You'll get used to the crowds, Just remember that those cities are made up of thousands of small communities. You'll find a park, a group of people who live in the street playing cards, dancing, a small town in the big city. Just feel the small town vibe in those places and you'll be fine. Don't look up at the skyscapers lol.
I lived just over the peninsula in Dalian. Even less flying there lol so I'm looking forward to seeing more of that on your other channel, and watching your journey on this one. Always smile and things will go well (if slowly) in China. Good people like you do well there. Go well my friend.
Yes, I was swimming and a lot of people were swimming but the funny thing was there was flag saying no swimming allowed which was really bizarre but I just ignored it and I never got into trouble

Yes, based on your personality, I can sense that the crowds and hustle and bustle might not be ideal for you. But I enjoy your vids and I hope China is treating you well. I'm an American living up to your north. Nice to meet you, sir. (Used to live in Tianjin, but I lived in the TEDA, special economic development area).
Thanks very much for the message. That's very interesting that you also lived in Tianjin and now you aren't further north. Whereabouts are you living now?
Welcome to China!! If you open your heart to embrace Chinese people & culture, less judgments & compressions, you will have a lot of fun as a RU-vidr. Overall China is a huge developing country with 1.4 billion people, many times bigger & crowded than England. Chinese people are extremely friendly, helpful & curious about Foreigners once they get to know you, so please get out of your English Gentleman’s comfortable zone to experience it!! Have a great time in China!!😄
Thanks for the message 🙂 yes, I can see a lot of sense in what you said, it difficult to let go of our culture and the things that we used to and to stop making comparisons and judgements. I will try to take your advice to heart as much as possible. Thank you so much for what you said
