I have a question on the correct way to pronounce MacLaren. Does it sound more like Mc-claren or Mac-laren as it is spelling? I grow up saying it the first way but it was pointed out to me it should be said more like it is spelled. The lady in the video pronounced it the first way too. Which is correct?
Hello, apologies we don't have any information about that. Perhaps you can contact the Clan MacKinnon Society and ask them? Here's their website: www.themackinnon.com/ Good luck and let us know if you find out anything!
Thanks for your lovely feedback, Michelle! It's been a pleasure to celebrate clan Davidson. If you'd like us to add anything from your Society to our clan page or blog, please email Carrie at marketing@scotlandshop.com. We'd love to hear from you and we'd be happy to add it and promote it on social media. Thank you!
So glad you like it and that you're learning more about your Scottish heritage. Yes, you're right it should have been Davidson-Harley considering there were more Davidsons involved than Harleys!
@@Scotlandshop I've been wanting to but I've never really gotten around to it. I know on my mam's side I'm descended from clan crozier and I have relatives in Canada and NZ but I don't have a clue about anything on my dad's side yet. I'm happy my nan has a family tree mapped out but obviously that's not my dad's side
@@Scotlandshop covering a sleeve cuff on black denim jacket. I make costumes as well, have done a tailoring course before. I love making costumes. And tartan is a favourite material of mine to use. Will be watching some of your clips again. Have a blessed day.
That sounds fantastic! If you've used any of our fabrics to make your costumes or creations then please do share photos with us as we always love to see people's creations. You can email them to info@scotlandshop.com - have a lovely day, too.
Yes, we do, and thanks for asking! Please head to our Davidson page: www.scotlandshop.com/tartan-finder/davidson If you have any specific questions please reach out to customer service on info@scotlandshop.com who'd love to help. :)

Hello! Glad to come across your channel. My husband is Robert Dillon Bruce here in the states. He was told he is a 6th Bruce that they can trace. His grandparents came through Ellis Island NY. We didn't know of the different Bruce clans. He just knows that his grandfather is Scottish and married an Irish. I'm going to have to research which clan he is from to get the proper tartan. 🙂
I know a best friend in spain where I live as a dutch ( lowlanders like me Netherlands have celtic/ Gaelic in common. ) I love this man, his dad named Him Ross. I love that name ' Ross ' headland ' I'm proud of you scots. Scotland 4-ever! ❤💚
I stayed in Tulloch castle last week and they showed me a plaque with my mom's maiden name on it. I suppose her ancestors may have been a part of that clan. Her maiden name was never a very common one, as far as I know.
Thanks for sharing, that must have been a fascinating discovery. Do you know much about your mother's heritage? If you'd like to share a photo/story, we are putting together a Davidsons stories blog for the end of May. Please email us at marketing@scotlandshop.com if you'd like to contribute :)
It was a very fascinating discovery and it felt a bit surreal. I know a lot about her ancestors, the Deasons, from the last 500 years or so and I'd love to contribute. I will start putting the information together to send you. My wife and I very much enjoy your videos and we are both pleased to hear that the Davidsons are a charming bunch!
I love the double tartan scarves with a black leather jacket. It combines to form a glamorous and sophisticated look. Also, your hairstyle; natural curls and untouched silver, gives the look an edgyness. Fantastic styling! PS, if you get a chance, I would love to know the names of the tartan scarves you chose.
You are in luck, we have one on our channel from a year ago! Please watch here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u8DolGdjV2M.html Hope you enjoy it.
