I'm Bhearrah (Barry) McLaren. Brave Son of the Spear. Thank you so much for adding to the history that has been passed down through stories. As far as I know my branch went to Norway and then France as mercenaries. Eventually my lot settled in Cork, Ireland. Nobody seems to pass down something traumatic. My great grandfather worked on the Titanic. Workers got to emigrate to Liverpool with their family. I can't say it was easy for them. Irish Catholics were treated just as badly as any minority at the time but my Grandfather Jack served on a minesweeper during ww2. 'This country gave us sanctuary, I had to defend it' wonderful words and I wrote a poem abt his experience. I'd love to hear more from you two, especially the hot one ❤

I LOVE your name!!! Small world. My grandfather came to USA at a young age, maybe 2 yrs. He was born in Cork and is Scottish also. Small world. I would have loved to see Ireland, County of Cork! But I missed my family’s trip. If I were to travel now or before I die, I def go to Scotland and for sure visit your distillery. Now maybe dumb question, is all of your family’s whiskey Scotch?

Surprised that there are no comments yet. You both did an excellent job, presentation was clear, concise and very informative, well done. Was respectful and very Scottish too. I am a Patterson, but can't trace back our origins to know if we come from the McLarens or elsewhere. Apparently all Pattersons are welcome in clan McLaren.
