Hello my name is Kody. This is my 3rd channel that will be straight up on jbl partybox videos. As of now I own a encore essential, dual 110s, dual 310s, a 710, and a 1000. Types of videos will include sound tests, bass tests, decibel tests, light shows, and speaker battles. New uploading schedule - Videos on Sunday and shorts on Thursdays.
It is also a matter of speaker placement. You ALWAYS need to put the speaker in the corner of the room to sound better. In your video, the 110 has a clear placement advantage. Try reversing them and u will get different results 😊
@@profesoruldeserviciu8378 yes that is true but the 110 is still going to have a little more bass because I've already tested this out in an environment such as at work or outside with both before and can hear the difference that the 110 still has a little more bass regardless wall or corner or not
Both have the same amount of bass but the encore does have a little bit better highs and sounds a little less mid heavy than the encore essential. Both have about the same sound quality though.
@@dmdndndn I will don't worry. I just got to be careful because my neighbors has been at my throat here lately about my music and has called the cops on me multiple times.
Ehh. I have very strict neighbors across from where I live that don't like loud music at all, hence why I don't do outdoor videos even though I want to but I can certainly give it a try :). ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7IJZgSsSOl0.htmlsi=Snes2JUSefAVYKKk if you haven't seen this video but it is indoors
Nice video man. Just fyi, a 6 decibel difference means the 310 is about 4x as loud as the 110. 3 db difference = 2x louder, so 6 db difference = 2x X 2x = 4x as loud. The decibel scale is logarithmic. 70 db is 10x as loud as 60 db.
I think jbl designed their partybox lineup to be like this :: 2 pb 100 = 1 pb 310. 2 pb 310 = 1 pb 710 2 pb 710 = 1 pb ultimate 2 pb ultimate = the roof of your house caves in. Its a pretty smart move to have them line up like this. Bc imagine how much buyers remorse customers who bought a 310 would have if they found out they couldve gotten a better sound buying 2 pb 100s for less money than 1 310.
It is pretty smart. And both options have their pros and cons so it's not really an obvious choice. 2 of the smaller speaker will have better sound coverage and stereo separation which improves listening experience. 1 of the larger speaker may not have as good soundstage but it will be louder so there's compromises to be made.
Man, you have some balls playing it at full volume indoors lol. I usually don't exceed 50% volume on my 710s cause I'm afraid of breaking my windows. Even at 35-40% volume my room vibrates from the amount of bass. Also, I mentioned this on one of your other videos but you are one of the few who get their measurements right, unlike some of the other more popular youtubers that are showing ~104 dB on 710 🤣
Pretty decent test. Your measurements are closely matching what their SPL should be. For reference, here's the peak loudness of each partybox: JBL PARTYBOX 310 AC-Mode: 111,4 dB(c) JBL PARTYBOX 710 118,3 dB(c) JBL Partybox Ultimate 124,8 dB(c) When pairing speakers together, you can expect around 3 dB increase over a single speaker. So for instance 2x 310 (plugged in) would be around 114 dB. Still quite a bit less than a single 118 dB of PB 710.
I don’t know how you do reviews, I specifically listened to them live. 110 is louder and bassier and sounds more pleasant at maximum volume. 110 is even louder than boombox 3, and boombox 3 is louder than encore
The 110 is a better buy at $400 but the encore is just as loud in its mids only when the bass lines of a song isn't playing. I never have the boombox 3 but from what I heard a plugged in boombox 3 is just as loud as an unplugged 110.
@@KohyiottJBLPartyBox Boombox 3 from a battery plays a little louder than 110, but it is very strained, probably due to the increased high frequencies and mids, but this is not always the case, 110 opens up better, plays cleaner, more spacious and has more bass. From the mains, 110 wins boombox 3. At maximum volume boombox 3 screams and the vocals are incomprehensible, the bass disappears, the 110 at maximum volume plays cleanly and has more bass. I believe that in a box like the 110, it was possible to add more power up to 200 watts
@@jenkins775I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you about the boombox 3 being louder than the 110 on battery. The boombox 3 does not get as loud as the 110 in any way based on multiple reviews and videos I've seen. Based on what I've heard the boombox 3 plugged in isn't any louder than a plugged in encore essential or unplugged encore if it's a loud song. It really depends on the quality of the song since some songs are louder than others.
@@KohyiottJBLPartyBox I have both 110 and boombox 3 and I know what I'm saying. Boombox 3 is louder because of the high frequencies. If you say that boombox 3 is not louder than encore essential, then you haven't listened to boombox 3))) for bass yes , boombox 3 loses encore and 110, but at maximum volume boombox 3 puts more pressure on the ears due to high frequencies
@@jenkins775 that doesn't mean the boombox 3 is louder lol because DB determined loudest and gym caddys and a few others used DB meters and say the 110 is louder than the boombox 3. No more continuing this. My opinion is mine and your opinion is yours. We cut it here. Thank you
Your mic - understandably - is completely saturated and distorted. But looking at the spl meter what I see lines up pretty solid with what the math says. You've got 2 310's at 240w each going against the 710 at 800w. If you calculate cone area of the drivers, the 710, believe it or not is not THAT far behind. The 310's 4 drivers are 113 cubic inches of area. The 710's 2 drivers are 100.5 cubic inches of area. (Deceiving isn't it?) The larger drivers are almost undoubtedly more efficient - perhaps up to 3db - and taking into account the 710 having almost double the power; a 4 to 6db advantage is easily understandable. I'm assuming a LOT in the above as obviously we have no idea what the Thiele and Small parameters of each driver is. We can be right on the money, or way off.
I have no clue what that's all about I'm not an expert at this stuff all I know is that judging by my ears is that the 710 has a more highs and is deeper in the bass but dual 310 hit slightly harder and is nearly identical in loudness but with the 710 having a little bit of a lead.
I'm a bass head so I like a ton of bass in any sized room but for some people it might be too much. While others including me it's not too much for a room
You mean the same brand and design speaker that's at least 25% bigger plays louder by a good 25%? Such a shocker to alot of the people in the comments section. 😂
