JBL PartyBox Encore Essential VS JBL PartyBox 110 Speaker Battle

U welcome. Yes the encore essential is good for its size but keep in mind that the encore essential battery life is rated at 6hours but that's the speaker at 20% vol with the lights off and bass off. At 50% vol with the lights on and bass boost on you should get about 2 to 3 hours. But at max volume with everything on it would only last for about an hour. You can get the encore that has a longer battery life than an Encore essential but it's the same price as the 110.

@KohyiottJBLPartyBox thank you for the quick reply and info about the battery. I won't be using the lights, so that should help on the battery. My classes are an hour, so an hour and 20 minutes on at the most. Volume won't be maxed out because of the echo indoors. So there are 2 encores? Or you would recommend the 110 instead? I carry everything to and from, so I'm looking to lighten my load. My current speaker is the Monster 270 and I used to get 2-3 classes on one charge. Now I'm lucky to get one and I'm literally turning it on no more than 5 minutes before my classes start. It's sad because it's only maybe 2 years old. 😔 Thank you again for your time and opinions.

You could grab 2? Run them in stereo or just cycle one at time for double battery. I've found battery life ok but I plug them in when I can for the punchier sound. Still great sound unplugged though

If the app doesn't show update that means it's already updated. If you use the speaker plugged in it will get a little louder than running of the battery. You could also go into the equalizer on the app and increase the mids and highs but this is only useful below 65% volume. Above 65% the equalizer does not make too much of a difference. I recommend to keep the lights off and bass boost off if you want the speaker to last as long as it possibly can on battery even at max volume. Hope this information was enough to help out :).

This is the encore essential not the encore keep in mind. Yeah I know it's crazy because I didn't know the difference until I found out because the encore is $100 more than the encore essential. I have a speaker battle video between the encore and encore essential if you want to know the difference:). There wasn't much of a difference in volume between the encore essential and the 110. But there's a huge difference between the 110 and the 310 in volume.

​@@jenkins775I'm not really sure it's just the way jbl built them. The JBL partybox encore and encore essential are both quite loud for their size. Yes the 110 may be twice as big but the extra woofer mainly makes the speaker bring out stronger bass and a little more volume but not being twice as loud like the different between the 110 and 310

@@jenkins775 Encore Essentials just have a set of microphones hence the extra hundred price difference.
