I have many crested geckos and other geckos, but I got my first leachie about six months ago and it was a juvenile or maybe considered under that because it was three or four months old. He doesn't seem to want to eat much so I am still hand feeding him. He is not very active. I started him out in a 10 gallon with paper towels since he was so young and then I moved him into a 30 gallon, still using paper towels. But I do have a 18 x 24 x 36 bioactive all set up for him. I just haven't moved him over yet. He is only 39 g. When do you think it would be safe or appropriate to move him over?
I had a female Gecko that had a baby that was never around a male. The baby she had was a male. The only thing i can think is that she had eggs and sperm she made a baby . The baby was male. Then there was a male and female to make a breeding population.

I do this too. Important to have LOTS of water to dilute the psyllium !!! Otherwise it becomes like Wallpaper-glue.... You can mix in a little glas, let it thicken unto a slippery watery consistence and give it with a syringe. I give my 5 Kilo dog ca 20-30 ml of this solution 2-3 X/day, now that she has been constipated. Or add A LITTLE on dog fodd and ADD water !!! If you are unsure it's safest to begin with pre-mixing it in a glass so you can see the thickness.
My ex kept exotic pets. Everything from sun beatles-mealworms-fish-reptiles. He had 2 rooms full of different species. My favourite little creatures were the mourning geckos. I always think about how freaking cool parthogenesis is and how with mourning geckos it's just a regular occurrence. They're such tiny, fascinating creatures. I wish more people knew about how awesome they are!
Love this and I’m thinking of making one for my uromastyx! I was just wondering if there’s any concern about flammability of the foam under hot desert lights- temps in my tank get up to around 110F. Is this material still ok to use?
My doggo Luna .is a tripod dog. But people underestimate her. She can run and climb like any other dog. She's missing her front right leg. So yea i struggle with harnesses but I'm from India sadly it's impossible to find these 🥲 but I'll my vet about joint support food
What are your thoughts on hemp bedding as litter? I’ve got very limited options where I live and it seems better than pine shavings which I used for years (I wasn’t aware that pine was toxic for rabbits but she never had an issue, she is almost 5)
I think you're doing great!..and your aviary is wonderful.. we've been raising quail for four years plus. Our set up is similar and love raising them on the ground. I do have breeding cages when I want to breed a specific color/size. But prefer them on the ground to enjoy them. Have you thought about fodder as a supplement. They love it if it's something you want to try. We also planted barley in their aviary this year in the spring and they loved running and hiding in the tall grass this summer. Quail hatching is so much fun and great to share with children!..
A must before considering changing the diet is watch “Pet Fooled”! Even if you are not considering changing the diet, it’s a must to watch if you love your fur kids! That goes for cats too! Another tip; get non slip runners on high traffic areas of the house without carpet. Nice way to prevent wipeouts. ❤

I'm interested in these tanks but part of me feels like they seem cheap; how does the plastic compare to something like the Zen Habitat? What is it like after you've used it for awhile?
Keelies is also what I affectionately call them, as well as their scientific name :) The fact they aren't more popular is really confusing, I'm all about them now! Theyre friendly and interactive! Mine loves to be stroked, hang out with me outside his enclosure, he's always looking for things to explore and loves to eat! My buddy gets roaches, mealworms, darkling beetles, crickets, silkworms, and the once or twice a month snack of a bit of banana or cgd :) I have seen people feed them a bit of blueberry as well!
I bought one of these from the pet store I work at (we often take our work home with us lol) I totally didn't plan on getting another lizard but after watching him everyday he really grew on me. I'm really glad I bought him when I did, because after that they were never available again from the vendors we order from. And I've never seen them anywhere else! I feel so fortunate to have this friendly little guy!
