Propaganda. We broke every treaty with the indigenous people. These were considered foreign policies treaties. This is a shameful part of our history we do not teach or face. This part of our history led to the near genocide of the indigenous people. This is why the United States did not ratify the newly created UN Genocide Accord in the 1940s. She was culpable in Genocide
Ole girl doesn't know squat. Everything she's saying is common knowledge. Where's the real interesting history not this crappy recycled "knowledge" that literally everyone knows already. This is like middle school level productions
They need better regalia. Check out what our Cherokees look like who preform for the world. That's what we really looked like not those dollar store moccasins lol
i only can have some conversations and can understand a bit i am only a teenager but i want to become fluent in chickashshnompa i have been learning since i was in grade school chokmashki to all the elders and everyone helping teach us younger generation learn our language ❤
It is so ironic and hypocritical how Indians whine about being conquered when many tribes were conquering other tribes. It's how the world works ....you ultimately lost. Yall didn't even have the damn wheel yet.
Oh wow, they deleted my comment. Guess they want the good history and not the dark history. Our history is world history. Yet been slave owners is history. Chickasaw owned black and other Indians.
Steve, that looks amazing. ... I was wondering two things. •Should that dumpling sauce be a little thicker? •I wonder if this is how the settlers made their spin-off version of the Concord Grape Pie recipe? Cooking has its own history. 😊
As a Chickasaw, now living 3 hours south of Memphis, I love visiting the city because I can feel the history of my homeland. Horn Lake, in MS, is physically shaped like the Bison horn our people used to stir pots of food over the fire.
My 1960s Mississippi public school education included a full six-week term on the tribes of Mississippi. Please add the Natchez, the Biloxi and the tale of Pascagoula.
hello! I live in CA. My OK raised papa told me about the Chickasaw people, since I was a little girl. I have followed with great joy your language development program. I have wondered, is there a program where young children are raised many hours each day with native-speaking elders? Holding tight to the Chickasaw native language is so wonderful, and it's really interesting that techniques have been developed to notate the native languages.
I've many questions for all my precious anscestors related to Indian ancestry. Keep speaking truth about all and I will do the same. Too many answers to questions deserve answers. ❤.
I love this video. I like the videos on your channel, I think it's normal life honestly. I notice you're putting out a lot of videos nowadays and I love it
My dad grew up near Ada, and I also treasure these videos, I've been subscribed to the channel for Years so I noticed how busy you've been making great videos recently!!🎉🎉🎉
I’m only 1/8 Chickasaw from my relatives that came from Oklahoma, but it is the Chickasaw Blood and Spirit that keeps this 701/2 yr. Old guy going. Beautiful welcoming center, Blessings from Bonny Doon, California 🌲⛰👨🌾🙏🇺🇸
The fact of the matter is, Chickasaw medicine men incorporated belief in Jesus Christ as the personification of Ababanili upon contact with such a concept. I understand, not all tribes appreciate the modern importation of Christian beliefs into Indigenous cultures. But for some of us, the holistic sense of medicine and spirituality that was passed down to us included belief in Christ.
