@@MrMajinbu a question is never ignorance my friend. It would be yes, gloss black wheels are painted which means they have a clear coat. It will be safe though I don't recommend using it regularly or at a high strength
@@MrMajinbu not specifically the meguiars non acid but I use P&S brake buster pretty much 90% of the time on wheels. It's only when they are extremely dirty or brake buster isn't working for me do I bust out the acid
Auto Foam is a good product theres no denying it, as are all the Bilt Hamber products, however theres akso no denying that on a really dirty car it does take a lot of product to clean properly.... I'm only a weekend warrior and I was finding my self using essily 400-500 ml made up to a litte to clean my cars ..... I now some folk suggest using either Surefex (or a Citrus Prewash) underneath it or even mixing it in with it but its not something I've personally tried .... I've only just picked up some Touchless and I've still to try it and as its a 2% mix max im hoping itll be a bit cheaper especially ss the current car is ceramic coated ..... I know for you guys across in the USA and Canada its even more expensive, I'm in the UK so its not to bad, but ive often wondered if for the real professionals out there the company should maybe supply it in a 10 litre or bigger container to bring the overal cost down just like buying 5 litres is maybe the same price as buying 2 * 1 litre bottlles... I know the biggest issue is storage and especially if going bigger than say 10 litres but surely its a thought.....
Active 2.0 is the same company that made the cat this machine is supposed to be twice as good. I washed my vehicle with the CAT Version 27 times and it SEIZED UP GARBAGE So the 2.0 active version should give me about 60 washes that’s ridiculous. Don’t waste your money. These under $500 washers are junk.
I tried this on my black rims and it didn’t work at all. Can you try it on black rims. I just sent straight from the bottle didn’t dilute it and I had a pressure washer. Super disappointed. AND I scrubbed
V2 came out with double the cleaning power with half the product needed. Only 2% as a max needed makes it a no brainer. Bilt hamber smart and killed the competition with their new version!
Please note this product uses ammonium bifluoride. Many injuries have resulted in users not being aware of the risks posed by similar wheel cleaning products. Ammonium bifluoride based products are often considered a safer alternative to hydrofluoric acid, yet still pose clear risks to the handler. Ammonium bifluoride, ammonium fluoride, and hydrofluoric acid have been described as "too dangerous for any use in a car wash environment" by Professional Car Washing and Detailing magazine, advice that accords with a 2015 report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Ammonium bifluoride is toxic to consume and a skin corrosion agent. Upon exposure to skin, rinsing with water followed by a treatment of calcium gluconate is required. In water, ammonium bifluoride exists in chemical equilibrium with hydrofluoric acid and heating releases hydrogen fluoride gas. Consequently, there is an equivalent toxicological risk as is present with hydrofluoric acid, and the same safety precautions apply.
Not sure if this applies to where you live but runoff from washing (wheels and paint) with dangerous chemicals that run off into storm drains lead to contaminated water supplies and ecosystems. Governments recommend that car washing be done on lawns and areas that do not allow runoff for this reason and even fine some people and businesses for runoff if they've been found to contaminate storm drains. Food for thought.
your wrong both auto foam and touchless are enviromental safe because i have use them for years and the reason is because i have to pay like hell id i used a non bio friendly snowfoam. and uk regs miles more stricter than us
Don't waste your money, here's why. Ever video shows someone using a presure washer. ??..yea, I wasted my money on it..one wheel with bb, and one with out..the results are. Presure washer worked great no bb..just bullshit..save your money..
I discovered this product and it is absolutely incredible.... But what do you use to melt the ugliness of the tire? Is there a product as good as this one for the tire? I just watched a video where the guy uses a spare tire that it is under a truck and it was nasty.... Adam's wheel and tire cleaner performed amazing without scrubbing. What do you use?
Adam's wheel and tire is a great product it should be more than enough. I use p&s break buster for tires. And while yes these alkaline cleaners are good at browning up a tire without contact I still recommend you scrub the sidewall very thoroughly to clean the tire well
Hello. Great video. I watched it with pleasure. I want to cover my car with ceramic coating this summer. But I don't have my own garage. I need ceramics that quickly adhere to the varnish. Can you recommend me a ceramic that can be applied outdoors?
Yeah this coating is probably the one I'd use if I were you. You'll still need shade to apply it but once it's done and it's curing for an hour or two, so long as there's no rain you should be good to go
I was just given a brand new bottle of this.. When you did the 4:1 dilution in the spray bottle, Can you explain was that how much product you put in the bottle as opposed to how much water? Im trying to determine in about the same size spray bottle, were I would fill the product to, then the water
Thanks for this review. Im from the UK and have been a BH fan for several years. I like auto foam for its higher ph and use it at a ratio of 1:1 in the winter. In the summer I reduce the concentration to 3:1. Ive not tried touchess yet but will give it a try next.
It looks great but honestly to use it on on tesla brakes is kinda of pointless. It barely uses its brakes as its mostly regen brakes. I would like to see german caked on wheels to see how well it does.
Brake bomber, suds lob non acid, and superior products dark fury along with pressure works brown stuff are nearly the same product. I believe that dark fury has the best value though. All are great options.
Love there 3 year graphene coating, I used it on my 2015 Black mustang. I am looking into the 5 year for additional gloss on a blue 2021 jetta I now have. do you have a before and after of the paint?
Thank you for the video mate. Any tips how to remove chemical staining as I did the wrong thing and now have a white chemical galze on my black wheels. Regards Hayden
I suggest starting off with some Polish on a microfiber towel and working it in with your finger though if you have a small enough extension for a DA polisher that works too. If it works but isn't aggressive enough you can work up to a cutting compound.
Never tried Brake Bomber. I have tried Meguiar's Wheel Brightener (@ 4:1), but for gnarly wheels my go to is Adam's Wheel and Tire Cleaner (@ 2:1). It's pH of like 13, so you don't want to use it every week, but does it ever work on cleaning dirty wheels and nasty tires. It's also pretty inexpensive when you buy it by the gallon, which retails on their site for $45. Adam's also has a gallon with a free 16oz for the same price. On top of that wait for them to have a sale and you can usually get it around $35. To me both the Meg's and Adam's work well, but I prefer the Adam's. I will note that I'm located in the Dallas area, so we don't usually deal with winter road salts, etc. just brake dust and road oils. Meg's being acidic may be more effective than Adam's for areas of the country depending on what you're trying to clean off your wheels.
They normally have a dropper , apparently some got out without it. Although the dropper that comes with it sucks, the hole is way too big and a lot of coating gets dumped and it’s annoying to use. However, I do love the coating, I’ve installed it on over 10 vehicles so far and it’s now my go to coating.
You mix doesn't look anything like 50/50 when you decant it , and it does look a little weak on the vehicle as a consequence - BH products certainly aren't showy ones though, as you highlighted its not about the foam, but about the cleaning power of the liquid.
Amazing video. I personally really like DIYDetail's approach to creating innovative products. Can you name the top three products that you will keep for yourself to use?
I have both Autofoam and Touchless, but prefer the Touchless even though it is marginally more expensive. I have never had a car yet that required the 4% PIR, so generally use it at 2% which still gives a remarkable clean. I can generally do a complete clean using only Bilt Hamber products, although I do have a lot of Turtle Wax and Autoglym products, so I have a choice.
I have been using wheel brightener for years. Now it is discontinued. I picked up a few gallons. It is the best. full or 1:1 for real bad rims. I did ruin some anodized rims once. Cost me 2 grand. Never do that again. I use Meguiars ultimate wheel cleaner on my personal car. I tried the Adams, it was ok.
A Rinseless wash comparison would be good, alongside the diy detail , I see you have p and s absolute and you have previously used ONR , keep up the good work!
Touchless is phenomenal. It’s all we use. AF is on the shelf for backup in case inventory on Touchless is low. If I couldn’t have these 2 I wouldn’t waste my time with anything else. After I rinse Touchless off I go straight to a rinseless contact wash. Very effective and economical. My average wash takes me 13-15 minutes depending on vehicle size.
Thank you for the review. One little thing, DIY Detail Incredible Suds is a pH of 8.5 with your mjjc foam cannon 1oz is all you need, and 1/2 oz in your wash bucket.
