These are now around 400 USD new in most of Asia. Bargain speakers. For the money you just won’t find better. Just put them in DSP ‘dynamic’ mode and enjoy.
I'm using a Campark T300/TC02 with macro filters for filming birds at close range. Unfortunately, the 37mm Vivitar filters won't fit on this camera, but I found a set of vintage 27mm filters that fit perfectly. Here are some clips of Hummingbirds recorded with a +3 filter. The camera lens was around 12" from the feeder: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b5lMzV1bd7M.htmlsi=_0LwKPEj5sEVB_Sc I've been trying to get closer with a +4 but the hummingbirds won't settle to feed if it's too close. Also, the higher the diopter strength of the filter, the narrower the 'working range' (depth of field).
Very nice computer! I'm still using a 2018 Macbook Pro Intel based. These M series chips are night and day. I used a friends to export a video project, on an M2 and it was way faster.
Sold my R7 as others have had issues you'll get a few hits then a few hits on the background, say when shooting a bird in a tree even with electronic shutter... canon admitted the focus system is too fast for the readout speed on the r7. but if you do mostly stills and video no issue just not a good sports/ wildlife camera at all. unless you like old dslr type focus where you get 5 out of 10 in focus and have to delete in post.. many videos on R7 focus issues.. it will show the eye of the bird as example locked on for say 20 frames you get to the edit desk and you might have 6 in focus the rest jumped all over..
I’m used to that. I did notice how it tracked a duck’s eye so well, but in the end it may not have mattered. BUT Back Button Focus. When I switched to back button focus, it seemed to improve dramatically, but I’d have to test more to validate more. Did seem to help significantly from a quick photo outing. 🤷♂️
Yeah, so there is always going to be a next model on the horizon! Always! They are constantly updating/ upgrading! You can either buy and take pictures or spend your life second guessing! Even if you manage (pretty hard to do) to get a camera right after release, in two to five years it will be replaced anyway!
Thanks for your video, it is encouraging me to try DIY. My JVC MiniDV camcorders broke a long time ago and I need to get these on a computer. I had a friend who made a copy of one of mine on a player to VHS and the colors came out washed out, it didn't look right. That and your experience made me want to try DIY. I need to get an older apple computer. I do accounting all day at home so I have the time I guess. What are the specs on your computer?
@@dougwollman2533 Ok thanks. I am trying to copy your system and I found 2008-9 laptops with Snow Leopard but to sell it they remove your i Movie resident software. Now I am trying to see how I can get that.
Yeah, I was right for the year - mid 2009. 6 GB Ram. Seems like I put more ram in there than the advertised max specs, but it’s been so long ago, I don’t remember for sure. 2.13 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. I’m not sure why you’d have an issue getting iMovie. OS X EI Capitan (Snow Leopard is fine) Oh. Maybe I get it. They have to wipe it clean, and there probably is no support for installing stuff (that old) from Apple. Would be my guess. eBay? www.ebay.com/itm/266356953971?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=H0LDgwzwSMC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=9aPHOkG_RMu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Perhaps you’ll need an iLife installation dvd, and an optical drive that works, internal or external. Best of wishes. discussions.apple.com/thread/250533775 I did find this. Not sure how accurate. Sounds right though. However, it is possible to download an older version of iMovie from the Apple Support page or the downloads page. To download an older version of iMovie on an old Mac, you can: Find a Mac with a newer operating system, at least Catalina Sign in with the same Apple ID Download iMovie Go back to the old computer, log in, and go to the Purchase tab Download an older version for the computer If you have previously had iMovie on your Mac, you can go to the Purchases tab in the App Store and click to install iMovie. Also, you may want to figure out if iMovie comes preinstalled. I’m not sure which year or which operating system already has iMovie. They certainly come with newer versions, but how far back does this remain true?
Do you have any photos of this thing showing the order the belts go on? This thing has flummoxed me for so long because I can’t find ANY info on the order the belts gone on this thing!
I’ve never tried it. Probably not recommended. Doesn’t seem to be intended use. If you were in a real conundrum or emergency I suppose that the rules could change. 🤔
@@SnoEntertainment762 this is what AI said (Gemini). I have caught it being obviously wrong before, but I think it’s correct here: No, the EverStart Maxx 1200 amp power station is not suitable for using an impact wrench to tighten bolts. Here's why: Limited Power: The EverStart Maxx provides a 500-watt inverter. Impact wrenches require much higher wattage, typically starting at 1,000 watts and going up depending on the size and type of bolt. Using an impact wrench that draws more power than the EverStart Maxx can overload and damage the unit. Designed for Short Bursts: The EverStart Maxx is designed for short bursts of power, like jump-starting a car or inflating tires. Impact wrenches require sustained power delivery to tighten bolts effectively. Here's what you can do instead: Hand-tighten the bolts: This is the safest option if you don't have a proper power source for an impact wrench. Follow up by double-checking tightness with a torque wrench later when you have access to one. Use a breaker bar and wrench: If the bolts are already on and you need to remove them (not tighten), a breaker bar and wrench can provide additional leverage to loosen them. Borrow or rent a power source: If this is a one-time job, consider borrowing a power inverter with a higher wattage rating from a friend or renting one from a tool rental store.
Im in the middle of transferring my mini dv library to digital. Was fortunate to get a cheap working canon camcorder and still had my old dinosaur desktop with firewire in storage. Im importing to wmv files. Was wondering what files you are saving as. Mp4. Avi? Wmv files is what my old desktop window's movie maker saves them as. Considered converting to mp4.
The “original media” folder which iMovie imported to reveals .mov files. Looks like Legacybox gave me .mp4 files. Not that I think that matters so much. I usually stick with .mov or .mp4, and maybe I’ve done .avi a few times. If I get into other types of files, I usually am stuck converting them using VLC player or some other app I have that does conversions for me.
what is your computer.? I have two broken JVC MiniDVs and 50 tapes I want to do Firewire 1-1 and am considering getting a computer that is easier than my Windows 10 pro desktop. Are you using an Apple Mac Book? do you need a software program and do they have the same quality? I need to get this done this year! Thanks.
Correction. I described the DV jack as an input. Probably not the best description, although it does seem to take some input as well, from the computer.
RU-vid recommended me to a convert old mini dv to digital before its too late video. Made me think I have like 30 mini dv tapes of old memories in my basement. I have the same jvc camcorder. Drug it out and guess what. Same thing safeguard mode. No luck. Tried several things. Watched RU-vid videos. Ran my old dv cleaner tape in it. Still safeguard mode 03. I purchased a tested working canon mini dv camcorder off of ebay with free returns I'd doesn't work. Luckily I still have my old desktop in storage with firewire that I can get my old tapes onto hard drive before the tapes are junk. Wish me luck
I’ll try to do a follow-up video that’s more succinct, together and bordering on instructional. But it sounds like you could get your project done if only you had a working camcorder. Well, I can’t speak for all Sony Handycams, but this one worked once I found a matching power adaptor.
@dougwollman2533 I had a typo in last comment. The canon camcorder I bought on ebay says Its tape tested working. When it arrives I should be fine. And I fired up the old desktop and I'm sure I will remember the process on hookup and convert to the pc. Used to all the time but was 10 years ago. I'm sure I will learn to appreciate newer windows even more after spending time on Vista again lol
I bought 2 pair of these used and they are great! One thing I noticed is that the oled(?) display is slightly burned in, I have it on optical mostly (and the first user too I guess) and when it displays something else let's say "line 1" up close the slightly burned in letters optical can be seen lol. But from a distance you can't notice this and I guess. I wished it had a sleep timer, function to turn the little display off and a sub out would be nice too although they have plenty of bass already just to get an even fancier setup. When I first heard them I was very impressed, so are friends/family when they heard them for the first time. :) Hope they last a long time.
Nice video, thanks. Did you test/hear the Edifier Airpulse A300? How do they compare to the S3000pro and S2000mkiii? I currently have the S2000mkiii and considering to buy the A300 if it's worth it (since they are a lot more expensive). Thank you.
This was really helpful, thank you! I do ASMR too and love binaural recordings, and thus far I've been doing it in post, and it's tedious and not quite natural. So I've ordered the C2 mics and am excited to get them, and your review helped a lot, thanks!
At these tests around 22:23, you took the stereo balanced output from the Scarlett, passed through the MPA II (each output going through each channel) and went back to the inputs of the Scarlett, right? Did you had any phase issue doing that? Because I plan to use the MPA II as a mixbus “effect” too Great video BTW! Very informative!
It’s been awhile. Looks like I went through the Scarlett and bypassed the MPA II entirely. Hope that answers your question. I don’t hear any phase issues, as far as my hearing goes. Do you hear any? As far as why there are two 1/4” cables going into the Scarlett, I don’t remember my configuration. I may have been routing them through my daw, it’s possible I was doing it the hard way. There is a way to route stuff to hardware through one’s daw, but I don’t specifically remember if that’s what I did.
@@dougwollman2533 ok, but in the next two tests (around 28:49) , going through the stock tubes and, after that, the Genalex Gold, did you make that route you said? I didn’t hear any phase issue in your vid when you passed the free music through the tubes. But, in some forums threads, people say that this PRO MPA II doesn’t have a stable LR for use it in stereo for mixbus processing. Only if you are recording 2 mics like a stereo-miking acoustic guitar or a piano using 2 mics. Not good for, for exemple, a stereo keyboard/synthesizer, because of the unstable stereo output and the phase issue it causes. But I think the ones who say this got a broken unit… because yours sounds great and really stable to me
@@raphabmroque I know it's great for a stereo keyboard, although I tend to just go directly into my audio interface for that. After all this work, my bad. I bet this unit is fine without messing around changing out the stock tubes, and might not be recommended unless you're willing to shell out some cash for a matched stereo pair. The stock tubes should already be matched, if that's your main concern. Oh yeah. I probably did use the Focusrite, but from watching my own video, it looks like I had the inputs completely turned down, which I believe is basically the same as a line input. As of lately, I often go out from the ART into my camera. Usually some sort of camera mic adaptor first. I don't remember if I was using the Focusrite to route to my daw to record, or just going out and recording to my camera. LOL.
Loved the salt shaker sound, your hand rubbing, and all your subtle, crispy, and organic little moments! Absolutely love 10:45, a little zipper-sounding, and the breathy wind sounds beyond 22:58! Very nice :) Some other triggers that I personally love: Tapping on a glass filled with water, putting Saran Wrap over the mic and spritzing with water, uncorking a glass bottle, stirring wood items in water, tapping corkboard, squishing a soapy sponge, and favourite tingly words (“cracking” sounded GREAT) or whispered words of affirmation like “everything is okay, you got this”! There’s nothing you can do wrong as there’s a trigger for/not for everyone, so don’t hold back! The strangest/most unique sounds are usually the most tingly! The quality of your setup makes for excellent potential and I can’t wait to see more!! Yay :)
Hey, you're the first male ASMR content creator I've ever listened to. Trying to work through some of my insecurities. Thanks for the upload. I know some people like the rough scratches, but I'd dial it back a bit and get a brush with softer bristles. Just to test out, feel free to disregard, just a request if you're inclined.
Right? I admit I wouldn’t really want to listen to a male do ASMR. Heck no. 😂 With that being said. Thank you! I’m looking forward to the next video myself, and I will gently throw in some new elements.
hey, I’m currently relentlessly spiritually attacked because I know I’m going to another level. Right now I have to go to the quiet place and pray because of suffering but nothing in my life is worth suffering for right now. I know it’s spiritual and I just wanna let you know that sitting here and listening to you while I was washing my face and getting comfortable helped me a lot so thank you. It’s simple but it really helped just to listen to someone talk about God & life.
