In this video I share with you...
Unboxing a whole new experience with video editing, etc. It took me 11 minutes to bounce this very video. Yes, THIS one that you are watching now. Wink wink. 😉 I seen I goofed something up, as my text read "thunderbold" cable instead of thunderbolt, so I had to make the change and bounce (export) the video again. The next time, it took 10 minutes. All that to say, I am rather excited about my change in repertoire of available gear. My prior equipment for this type of use being a 2012 MacBook Pro with 6GB of ram. I'm not even sure the specs were advertised as being maxed out at 6GB of ram, probably 4, but it still seemed to recognize 6.
NOW I have some ram and shouldn't have to force my enduring patience when rendering and bouncing videos, not to speak of other taxing tasks this MacBook Pro M3 Max should be well able to handle, and handle well.
If you're looking at all the MacBook Pro configurations, you can certainly consider the one I unbox in this video. That being the MacBook Pro M3 Max, the base model of the Max with 14-Core CPU, 30 Core GPU, and 36 GB of unified memory. 1 TB Internal SSD. (Yes, there is a higher configuration of M3 MAX, I won't get too much into that. I have more than enough already).
You would do well to consider your actual needs. Perhaps the MacBook Pro M3 Pro, with 12 Core CPU and an 18 Core GPU with 18 GB of unified memory would be a better configuration and a more appropriate fit for you. I do believe I have heard some refer to this configuration as also being the sweet spot.
Of course, future proofing is also something to keep in mind. The configuration you choose is basically permanent -- and there is NO upgrading, per sa. So it's a good idea to make up your mind in the forefront of your get-go, before you get out there too far - or too shallow - and experience regret. Thus, finding the sweet spot.
In all honesty, listening to RU-vid vidoes about all the varuois configurations and “you might as well now upgrade to this configuration now” made my head spin. 😅 I hope I don’t do that here. But you may need to listen to some videos and do your own research. I certainly am no expert in this matter. But i do recommend gear that is more than just adequate to get the job done, says the man who went with adequate and maybe less than enough (at least computer-wise) for years and years until I finally took the plunge.
Anywhosers!
Thank you so much for watching and for your support of my endeavors! I hope to be able to provide you with some great content in the days and years to come! Blessings!

Very nice computer! I'm still using a 2018 Macbook Pro Intel based. These M series chips are night and day. I used a friends to export a video project, on an M2 and it was way faster.
