My name is Sandy and, for the last few years, I’ve been an online entrepreneur, working from home and doing my own thing.
But there was a time in my life when I felt lost and hopeless, living a life that wasn't mine to impress others.
At that time, someone helped me, guided me and showed me a different way. A path to happiness, wellness and self-worth.
And now I really REALLY want to pay it forward by doing the same for anyone who's needs it.

Currently facing this at a place I was supervisor at. BIG change in management and the current supervisor is a guy who used to work under me who has it all together. The new manager doesn't like hiring old people but the current supervisor wants me back so I am going in to see the new manager and hopefully he makes an exception. It's remarkable what a serious reorganisation of the place can do.
I think it can be like a bad relationship. It's exactly like a bad relationship. We forget why we left or broke up in the first place. That said, if it gets you out of a pinch and it's easy to get back in, go for it? Maybe you skills are valued and everyone knows it's temporary, you need it, they want it, go for it. Whatever gets you through the night. I had a place like that I have been in and out of 4 times since 2001. Different owners. 3 different owners. 2 families and then an investor group. The first 2 families, were good to work for. The investors group, with who they put in place to manage, "the president" screwed the place up so badly, in so many ways for anyone who might want to work there, you could not offer me enough to go back. That way I'm early 2017 he moved in. I tried it out, I saw exactly what he did, I saw where he was going and he messed that place up. They never did offer anything as far as incentive, literally nothing but your paycheque. The difference now is the majority of employees, the vast majority are BS jobs. Worthless. Absolutely worthless to the company they are just there to make the change many appear sizeable. Big. Like they're somebody's. They are the competition. Actually they are all rejects from the well established competition. No incentive, I'm not a fan of the people. There is too many ch incompetence from the leader. I'd say he dangerous to work for. They can't even guarantee 30 hrs a week during the summer, the busiest time of the year. I quit in September. I had another job in b a week later what ch made me realize what incentives are. It just made me realize what a waste of time it was being there but it did bail me out. Anyone who was ever anything's ng in the first to eras has either been reduced to nothing, or they are dead. Out of 5 guys, including me, who were there 2001 and prior, 2 had strokes and 1 died in his sleep DURING this last era. The 2 who had strokes are now t what they were prior. Third guy not much older than I am, young you could say died in September. I was gone a month later. I quit on the spot. What makes me laugh about this place, is the company Facebook page. I get a good laugh at that. It's like the funnies in the paper to me but certain posts.... One in particular recognizing 45 years (??? I think... That's about right, 1979)... This guy, right from his mouth in 2018 "This place, the old name of the company, is dead... it's over" right from his mouth, more than once. I can say without a doubt that I'm no way is the old, still alive. In no way at all. It is not even the same company. They changed the name, abbreviated it because it had the name "king" in the title. He can say what he wants, that was done to be more "appropriate" in these modern times. We could have queens there. His dorky what ney 22 year old lesbian daughter, who knows nothing, but was put in a position can't have the name "king" in the name of her company. It's not like the place was built on the backs of men. Myself included and the women who were there, were women. Good women. Heck, I was interview and hired by the FIRST first lady.Back in the good old days. You couldn't pay me enough to ever go back. In his exactly words, the old HK is dead.
Vacations are really expensive for Americans. Europeans have the luxury of your railway system to be able to visit other countries with much affordability. I don't use all of my PTO because I honestly don't know where to go or what I would do. There is no city in the mainland USA that I would consider a vacation spot.
I've been quiet fired by a few bosses when they became nasty, hostile and rude to me. I could tell they wanted me to quit. I got revenge on one of them by making a fake Google profile and leaving bad reviews of my boss (which he read at a group meeting!) I thought about getting revenge on another bad boss by calling in a bomb threat, but I decided not to do that.
My boss quiet fired me for months after I made a complaint to HR and the ethics board because I found out I was paid the least though I had the most experience; age discrimination. When I finally left, he was certainly not going to be rewarded with two weeks notice. When I sent the email to him, the ethics board, and HR, I stated, “I will not return after today. This is not a voluntary resignation; it it an acknowledgement that you have successfully quiet-fired me in retaliation for my discriminatory pay complaint. The investigation has been unreasonable stalked while my manager quite fires me using a number of constructive termination practices. It has become hostile and intolerable.”
Everything was great until you included Steve Jobs in Boomerang employee list ..lol.. He Boomerangd after 10 years and he didnt leave himself, was forced out by board and he was a major stake of Apple which he founded.. The people who watch these videos are small time employees and its hilarious you included Steve with us.

What's the best excuse or reason to tell a good manager if I want to resign after 11 months and I still have some minor projects to deliver? I basically want to focus on my mental health, and I hate the job that I'm doing, but I don't want to let the manager know that I hate the job. He hired me over so many applicants, and I don't want to just quit and disappoint him, because I'm hoping that I could use him as my reference for the next job eventhough I think he's not really happy with my performance and maybe he thinks it's just satisfactory. I just want to quit and take a break for 3 months, then find another job, but do you think I could still ask him to be my reference? What is the best way or how is the best way to approach this? Thank you. Btw, I'm editing this to say you are right, there's probably a bit of animosity when I resign because they have taken the time to train me in my current work, actually spending like 2 weeks watching videos to learn the system. So I think the manager might be upset, or another possibility is, he will be happy I resigned just to get rid of me, but that means I won't be able to put him in my CV as my reference, right?
Hi Jack. I think the best way to go about it is being honest, to a point. Talk to your manager, say that you were really excited to join the company but didn't realise that you weren't feeling okay and that you're struggling. That you feel that because of that you aren't at your best and that you feel like you're hurting the company. And that, because of all of this, you've decided to quit and focus on yourself. Apologize for the inconvenience and leave on the best possible terms. Don't over explain yourself, keep it simple. You're not feeling okay, it's hurting your performance and you need to leave. Hey there friend! As always, it is great getting your insights and I hope you are doing wonderful despite everything that's happened. And you really addressed that elephant in the room most neo/post New Thought / Manifesting, etc advocates are quite uncomfortable to talk about. It's the reality check those people need to keep them in balance. I fully agree that we need to change our conception of failure. To put it in a more positive slant, it may well be that the "failure" may form part of the manifesting process but we don't recognize it as such. To be completely honest, I don't dismiss concepts such as Law of Attraction or assumption, etc. However, these ideas are often rooted in presumably ancient philosophical ideas that are esoteric and involves a lot symbolism. But as is often the case, once a smidgen of the idea gets round on the internet, it gets overly simplified and becomes out of control especially in this age of Tik Tok. I mean I remember reading once a group of Tik Tok "witches" wanted to hex the moon. Just imagine that! Anyway, enough from me. Take good care Sandy!
Companies are not honest with their employees so why should we be honest with them. I say fuck it, slack off on Mondays. The 5-day working week is way too much anyway.
My old job wanted me back that I quit last summer. I’m not going back to a toxic ex bf. And that’s how it is. They might act nice for a short period like an ex toxic bf but then go back to their toxicity. They couldn’t pay me. Plus the mockery you’d have to deal with when you come back. People talking behind your back saying “look who couldn’t get ahead in life and decided to come back…” I’m not putting up with that.
What a lie about the arrest of the Maga President. Alan Derschowitz says it's a Mickey Mouse Case, and the charges won't stand the DA is not all talk at all now
I agree it's a very weak case, unlike the others that will follow. But, if you think about it, the only person who said he was going to be arrested was him! So I guess he was the one that was wrong 🤷 he came up with this whole commotion, as usual...

Well, if you haven't finished listening, how do you know most of what I've said has been debunked? Also, if that were so, why would there still be investigations on all of this going on? 🤷

Trump is a dick and cannot control his mouth... so people want to bury him because of the hatred they feel, like yourself. You seem very biased and willing to believe anything that agrees with your presuppositions. Do better, research more, think before you let your mouth speak.

I agree with you to a point, but Brandon Fraser was never type cast/restricted to comedic or action roles. He had a VERY healthy mix of drama in his filmography as well, and was recognized as a good actor outside of his lighter work.
Hi Sandy!. Missed you. So happy you’re back!. I agree. Always bring 110% into everything you do; otherwise, what’s the point?!. Give it your all. Then let it go, breathe, de-stress/relax and let God. I’m enjoying my retirement. As a family of retirees in these uncertain, manufactured(for corporate monsters’ record profits) inflationary and trying times, we’re gratefully blessed and living comfortably. Praise God!. So no worries or fears here. Fear is the Devil’s playground. I trust in God and look up. He’s got this.😊
